Silence in the Snow: A Dark Why Choose Holiday Standalone

Rate this book
For eleven years, I’ve blended into the crowd, hiding who I really am. Until I meet three mature, forbidden billionaires, who say they need my help with a breach at their security firm.
The longer I work for them, the more tempted I am to give them everything they want—my body, my heart, and my secrets.
When Hunter, Rory, and Luke discover I have a stalker, they bring me into their underworld and vow to take care of me by any means necessary.
But if I give them what they want, they'll find out that the darkness and shadows of my secrets follow me every day.
And if I give them my body? They'll find out about my lack of experience with intimacy.
But my secrets refuse to stay silent. My stalker torments and taunts me with little gifts left on my doorstep.
It’s only a matter of time before everything I’ve worked to remain hidden comes to light.
Will my men accept me and the stains on my soul?

So Sweet Yet Dark

Ivy King has done it again. She has provided yet another wonderful why choose read with all the feelings and the delicious spice.

I love that baddie that is Savannah. She is both sweet, snarky, and so strong… yet also scared. She only allows herself the love of her best friend and then the love in romance books. But Hunter, Rory, and Luke are not going to stand for that. They love her for everything she is, secrets and all.

Rory and Luke are another portion of this book I really enjoyed so much. Getting to see their relationship happen at the same time as they build something with Savannah was great. Also… she may never call him this, but Hunter is such a Daddy. He is the one who keeps everyone on track and emotionally regulated, and I adored his character.

You should absolutely dive into this world of serial killers, vigilante justice, heart warming/healing moments, and fantastic spice.

I’m in love with Ivy King’s writing. The way I’m always devouring the books that the author puts out it’s insane. This was no different 👏🏻

The way the characters met, their banter and how the relationships evolved throughout the story was really great. I really loved how ALL of the relationships between characters were written, not only the romantic ones, because it made you connect with the story in a more natural way even though the book it self is on the shorter side.

Lastly, I LOVE that we got some Asher, Zane and Rio in this as well. They’re always going to be my men 🤭

Plot: 4.5/5 • Spice: 4/5 ———> I’m all for this one. Savannah, is the product of a serial killer father who is also a religious nut. Blindsided when her father is caught for all the murders she ditches college, changes her last name and tries to move on.

She’s part hacker, part vigilante, part barista. She’s hired by Hunter who is seeking a hacker to see what’s going on with some of his investments. Insta-love. Rory, one of his partners also gets introduced to her and also insta-love. And then there’s Luke, like the other two, insta-love.

While out with her best friend dancing she runs into Rory, who just so happens to be the owner of the club. Upstairs he takes her virginity. There starts her introduction to a life she’s always wanted. She now embraces the three men and refuses to choose. They don’t make her.

Going through her life there has been little presents with notes left for her. Notes suggesting that she’s unpure and needs to repent. They think there’s a copy-cat killer. She’s being stalked. The guys are on it.

We do eventually find out who the copy-cat is. There is a big climax. There is NOT a third act break-up. there’s a little drama, but for the most part this is kind of all hearts and flowers. Minus the stalker business.

I love that this was a standalone. I love that Savannah finds happiness. I’m glad Luke and Rory being to explore each other 😉. This wasn’t a masterpiece, but it was capturing and fun. Take it for what it is.

🖤🔪❄️Book Review❄️🔪🖤

Yes! This book was fantastic‼️
My second Ivy King read and if I wasn’t obsessed already, I would absolutely be down bad crying at the gym for more🖤

Meeting Savanah in the prologue when she was 18 and how utterly brain washed she seemed to be with the beliefs that he father was spewing, until the truth came out and her world was flipped upside down (in the best way, I think).

Then jumping 11 years in the future and seeing the fighter she became was spectacular! I loved the hacker aspect and how that all lead to her meeting Hunter, Rory, and Luke. I loved the dynamic between the three hot AF Billionaires that were friends first, with Rory and Luke turning into more, but also the way they ALL fell for Savanah was BRILLIANT!!

The stalker vibes of someone hunting Savanah that links back to the whole thing with her father and the past that she just can’t leave behind!

This book was HOT, HOT, HOT and such a mystery and puzzle that was such a delicious combination of dark romance meets a serial killer thriller!

Tropes:
🖤Dark Romance
🔪Why Choose MMFM
🖤Age Gap
🔪Exes Dad and his friends
🖤Billionaires
🔪Past “Purity/Religious” Trauma

Ivy has done it again. I love that this story was a spin off of her Devils of New York Series. We got to see our guys from that series. I was so over the moon to see my Zane. All the guys in this story were just as perfect as her other guys. They each bring something to the table. They all are very protective and will do anything to protect their girl and each other. Savannah has led a life no person should have to lead. She finds out her dad is not who he is supposed to be and it turns her world and life upside down. She also has a secret darkside. When she meets Hunter, Lucas, and Rory she has no idea that they all can be the ones to help her not only heal her broken pieces but they can also offer her the life should should have already had. They see her and they nurture her. They accept her when other people did not. She truly is one of a kind and the guys that love her are too. The story and character development was top notch. This book hooks you from the first page to the last. I cannot wait to see what else is coming from this world. I know what ever is next is going to be a wild ride.

I really enjoyed this book!! Like a lot! The world building, the characters, the plot, the smut.. all A+. Luke, Hunter and Nate were awesome. Savannah was a great FMC but I loved Spencer from her other series as well. Not to mention a few appearances from Zane, rio and Asher. I would have loved to see the fmcs from both books meet and be friends but I can dream.
The only thing I did not understand.. she worked for them, completed the job so why was it so emphasized how she had no money? Did they not pay her? I was a little lost there. Even towards the end of the book when they talked about gifts and stuff.. she kept saying she was broke or didn’t have money.
Other than that, which is a small issue, I 100% recommend this book and her other series. Looking forward to more of Ivy King’s work!!!

Ivy!!! My girl you did it again!

I swear you could write anything and I would read it.

The heartbreak that Savannah went through with her dad is just awful. I loved though how over time she has overcame what he instilled in her. While I am still hesitant on why choose books, she needed each of those men to help her heal and realize what her dad instilled in her wasn't healthy and that she could be different without any judgement.

I also love how you tied this book to your first series Devils of New York!

Once again congrats on the book! I loved it and I can't wait to read the next book you write!

All I can say is that this book has too many plotholes, that made me loose interest. You want us to believe that a serial killer with 8 to 9 kills under her belt, is not freaking aware of her surroundings, can be stalked easily, freaks out and is poor in cases of self defense, is a great hacker but her information are so easy to get, that it looks like a child's work????? The girl is too naive and horny. This book had a lot of potential, but with how things were rushed right from the start, and the infinite amount of plotholes, everything fell flat.

🌶🌶🌶 - Spice Level

These three men all cross FMCs path at different points, but later decide she needs to be shared and these older men are more than ready to do so. It's like she's got magic or something as they all fall for her in Instalust and then Instalove.

I loved the suspense aspect of this with tie ins to the criminal underworld, but the spice seemed to not be the same as previous books. Almost tame and quick compared to Ivy's previous books. It felt ho hum for me.

Too many characters

This story should have been longer and explained some of the characters in more depth. In my opinion there were too many characters and I struggled to keep up with all of their names. She also fell for the men far too quickly and without any chase.

Ivy King did it again! I did not want the story to end! The MMCs are all perfect, and I loved Savannah! I read the entire book in 1 day and could not put it down!

Ivy King has done it again. Silence in the Snow was a quick, spicy read with plenty of twists. I loved the instant connection that Savannah has with Rory, Luke, and Hunter. Each of these men has a unique connection and something strong with Savannah. When secrets start to get revealed, with Savannah’s relationship with the guys withstand the test of time or will their relationship fall apart?
