Spot the Dog

Spot's Colors, Shapes, and Numbers

Rate this book
A new, oversized board book format for one of the most popular Spot titles. Here Spot and his friends can explore all the different colors, shapes, and numbers they find as they play together. These concepts are presented in a bold way that will be easy for young children to understand. There are red things, like Spot’s wagon and sailboat; there are round things, like Helen’s drum; and there are lots of things to count, like Steve’s balloons. Here is a fun, clear concept book that young children will love.

For the color section, red, yellow, green, blue, black and white each have a full page where one object is mentioned and then it is asks which other objects are that color? The numbers are in word and Roman numeral form. Illustrations are brightly colored watercolors. This is a good book for toddlers to kindergartners to learn about colors, shapes and numbers, though the pages are a little too cluttered.
