The last chapter has left me feeling like I’ve had 10 shots of coffee with no where to go.
I need the next book NOOOOOOW!
G. Bailey really does have a knack for making you feel like you’ve just run through an exploding mine field.
Plot lines are starting to come together. One of the main plots has finished. Other side plots getting added. The reveal at the end, OMG, it’s going to hurt. Whole lotta hurt.

I can admit I haven't been patient waiting for the second book in the Fourth Pack series. After the cliffhanger in the first book, I needed the next book ASAP, and Gem pulled through spectacularly. Bonded by Wolves was freaking amazing.
Meredith's past has been revealed, and of course, it's tragic, just like her guys. I love that instead of hiding away, she's using her newfound power to make a little waves. My only regret is that she didn't finish the Crone alpha when she had a chance. Mere is only starting to see her potential; I can't wait until she reaches it. The romance has kicked into high gear. The guys are all in with Mere and letting their crazy flag fly. More than once, she's called them psychotic (she isn’t wrong, ha), and I loved it. Zyran and the princes are completely obsessed and possessive. They most definitely have the touch her and die part down, and they apologize for nothing. A few of the side characters are making themselves known. There's definitely something happening, and I have my theories.
The prologue pretty much sets up the tone for the rest of the book. It was all dark and mysterious and full of questions. So much so, I found myself asking WTH is happening for most of the story. Between assassination attempts, cruel alphas, dark gods, and dangerous creatures, who has time for a quest? Mere is caught between warring gods, and honestly, I don't know who to trust. I was hooked. Unfortunately, life got in the way, and I had to put it down, but I was so excited to pick it back up. Both Meredith's and Orion's pasts get explained, and my heart broke for both of them, but especially Orion. His court may be beautiful, but the people aren't the best, especially his mother. Elizabeth's truth finally came out, and I was shook. Of all the things, I did not see that coming. And just when I thought that was it, the epilogue did me in. I died from the shock, only to come back because WTF is happening!? I was left stunned, speechless, and very confused. Ugh! This ending is going to haunt me. It's a must-read.

Not as Good
I absolutely loved the first book. It was fast-paced, packed with action, and full of tension that kept me hooked from beginning to end.
Unfortunately, this sequel didn’t capture that same magic. It took me multiple sittings to finish because the story felt slow and dragged in places. The massive time jumps made it difficult to stay invested, and I felt like they hurt the pacing more than they helped the story.
One of my biggest issues was the romance. I struggled to understand how the heroine could be so deeply in love with Zyran when he was barely present for much of the book. Their relationship felt underdeveloped, and I never got the emotional buildup needed to believe in their connection.
I also felt there was very little character development overall. Several characters blended together, making it hard to distinguish their personalities or become attached to them. On top of that, the sudden addition of multiple POVs didn’t add much for me and often pulled me out of the story.

Bonded by Wolves plunged me right back into a world teetering on the edge, and I was completely engrossed. As a huge fan of shifter romantasy with a why-choose element, this second installment of The Fourth Pack Series delivered on its promise of unhinged shifters and a human FMC finding herself entwined in a destiny far bigger than she imagined. The high stakes and forbidden romance kept me turning pages late into the night.
Our FMC is dealing with so much: the loss of her sister, navigating a dangerous palace filled with violent magic, and a burgeoning fate that feels both terrifying and inevitable. Her initial hatred for the three wolf pack heirs, who relentlessly claim her despite her protests, creates a fantastic enemies to lovers dynamic. These growling shifters are definitely unhinged for their woman, and their determination to make her theirs, even when she resists, is a prime example of the possessive alpha trope done right. The slow burn is palpable, making every touch and shared glance feel charged with significance.
I loved the added layers of the three goddesses, the God of Oblivion, and the consequences of the Folkland. It's not just a personal journey for the FMC, but one that has cosmic repercussions, which elevates the story. The forced proximity and the continuous discovery of her hidden identity are expertly handled, driving the plot forward with a constant sense of urgency and mystery.

Bonded by Wolves picks up where the previous book left off with Meredith grieving, angry and hurt from the loss and betrayal. This was a good read but there were times when I felt the flow of the story was a bit slow even though there was never a dull moment with Zyran, Reed, Blackfire or Orion. I don't want to give any or too much of the story away, but Meredith must spend 3 weeks with each pack so they can get to know her, however, there's more to them just getting to know her as she is in search of keys. Elizabeth finally tells Orion why she did what she did, and Meredith finds out why Zyran was cursed and exiled. This story was full of secrets that were revealed and secrets still being kept, threats, deaths, powers, reunions, steamy scenes, action and more. It ends with a cliffhanger that leaves Orion in a new position, has Meredith questioning what else Reed is hiding and Elijah revealing secrets and laying claim on someone that is already claimed. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Plenty of dialogue, mix of each character viewpoints (main and side characters), and new details added to the storyline but it felt flat. There’s a few time skips that could have been more (the month Meredith spent in Void City getting to know her brother and training to use her magic somewhat, the six weeks of what happened with the three heirs when they got back). It just read like this is happening then next scene without much really happening (in depth). The relationship between the main characters too. Somehow they just all really love Meredith and are obsessed with her when readers didn’t really get the buildup to what they were all supposedly feeling in this book. Readers find out more about Orion and his court, how Zyran came to be a gargoyle, and how Meredith ended up in the human territory. It did get better towards the end (storyline). I knew that wasn’t the end to that evil man for the cliffhanger…

This is the second book in the The Fourth Pack series and this one was a really enjoyable paranormal romance that kept me hooked from the first chapter. The story did a great job balancing action, romance, and supernatural intrigue, and I found myself quickly invested in both the characters and the world they inhabited. The chemistry between the main characters was strong, with plenty of emotional tension and playful moments that made their relationship fun to follow. The pacing kept things moving, and the werewolf elements added just the right amount of excitement without overshadowing the romance. The spice fit naturally into the story and added another layer to the characters' connection. A few scenes felt a little rushed, and I would have loved a bit more depth in certain relationships, but overall this was a solid 4 star read that was easy to binge and left me looking forward to more.

I definitely don’t vibe with G Baileys writing style and that’s fine. The first book was bearable but this one was awful. I wish I enjoyed her work more as her series seem to have everything I like but the execution just doesn’t work out for me.
That saying, this book didn’t flow as well as the first one. Nothing really happens and the FMC is still just a bit dim if you ask me. The MMC’s are just aggy little men and even reed who’s supposed to be golden retriever vibes lies and keeps secrets all the time. I’m telling you if you they actually had an honest conversation where they share information things would flow so much better. I also didn’t love the 2 new POVS I found them not needed and they didn’t add anything except extra words to fluff up the story. Like illiryia (or whatever) her internal monologue added nothing.
This book was also a lot more boring and I felt it dragged even though it was like 200 pages shorter than the first?

Wow, what a rollercoaster this book sends you on. At the centre is Meredith, grieving the loss of her best friend and having to deal with four men, all of whom have their own agenda when it comes to Meredith. We learn more about the packs, their dynamics and the four men who are bound to Meredith, and there is another addition in the game now that Meredith became a Champion, a darkness who has more than secrets, a darkness that wants to destroy everything and keep Meredith and has one very large secret up their sleeve.
This story is full of action, drama, surprises, twists, turns and grief and Meredith will have to find a way to deal with all that is being thrown at her while standing up for those she protects and cares for. I am loving this series and can't wait for the third book to find out what happens next.

This book kept me guessing and then at the end, I gasped so loud! I did not expect that mic drop / cliff hanger.
I love Meredith, my heart broke for her as she mourns Tannith, but thr hits keep on coming. But the moments she has with the Heirs and Z are just so special.
My favourite quote has to be " My wife has come back for revenge" I laughed so much, here the Heirs are trying to find her, amd she's like, I saved myself and I brought back up!

I love the plot idea, but the book could have thought out better in terms of pace. It was very rushed and the book was smaller than the first , so the plot for this sequence was very "squeezed in " and too fast.
We didn't have much insight to the characters development, it was very much like : they just like her and that's that.
Final thoughts: I was a bit disappointed about the pace and characters, they were a bit bland

All I have to say is omg that ending. Why must you leave a cliffy like that. It has me so mad and hoping that Meridith and her men find a way to be smart in the next book. I enjoyed the relationship build ups in thus book and seeing how strong Meridith can be. We have learned some truths and still don't really know if any of tge gods or goddess's are good but I am dying for more. I love each world we get from Bailey and I always dive in right away as soon as a book comes out. Definitely worth the read

I haven’t read a book by this author that I haven’t loved. The way she manages to draw you into the story every time is a gift. Meredith’s story is no different, I’ve enjoyed seeing how her relationship with the guys has grown in some cases. Zyran is quite cagey and I feel like something big is coming with him. Is Illyia going to end up with the king and Dane? And that ending? I can’t wait for the next book.

Considering how the last book ended, Meredith and the guys are back for more drama, chaos, intrigue and surprises. I enjoyed seeing what would happen next that Meredith would have to survive and deal with. Lots of secrets come out and had me wondering what else might not have been exposed yet that will cause trouble for everyone. I laughed, groaned and shook my head at times as these characters are intense and a bit crazy. But made for a fun story and lots of chaos.

Who doesn’t love a wolf shifter, who choose and enemies to lovers book? You are going to get a such a good mix of different courts, enemies to lovers moments, some sad moments, and some plot twists too! Add in some characters you are not sure who to trust as well 👀 If you are looking for a book where the writing flows easy, and you feel like you’re flying through the chapters, this is a perfect book for you.

Im so happy this book came out so soon! I couldn't cope with the cliff hanger of book 1. I love Meredith and her chemistry with the MMCs, bonds grew stronger in this book and I'm so excited that this will be a 4 book series yay!! can't wait for book 3.

fast and freaking fantastic

We pick up from where we left and we do not stop! Secrets are revealed and more secrets arise, there’s danger, drama, betrayal and plenty of action that has you hanging onto the edge of your seat. There’s intrigue, there’s tension and there’s spice but it’s well paced and keeps you captivated till the very end!

Suspenseful and engaging, this book was entertaining to read. The drama drew me in immediately. The scenes were well written and held my interest from beginning to end. The characters were fascinating in their drama. I enjoyed reading this book.

Not worth it.

Unfortunately, it's a huge potential that has been wasted. The plot is rushed. The author throws another bombshell at the reader before they can even enjoy the part they're reading. Ruined my reading pleasure
