A LITTLE NAUGHTY MIXED WITH NICE IN JUST THE RIGHT WAY
Another great story by Ms. Deane with her unique, quirky style of characters and situations that are brought to life in this tale of mystery, suspense, threats, kidnapping, and rescue. When a private BDSM group has threats made against some of the littles that participate in a pageant, the local police force seeks help from an outside force in a different town. They need two undercover cops to pose as a Daddy Dom and his little girl to keep the players safe. This story had me laughing out loud at the antics of Alex and all the things she says. She “makes wisecracks and couldn’t verbalize the correct form of an idiom.” It had my heart breaking for her as a daughter who lost her father, a highly decorated officer, and how she never felt she was good enough or what he wanting in a child.
Sergeant Connor Doyle wouldn’t be where he is in life if it wasn’t for relatives that took him in after the death of his parents, and the help of the man who became his partner and mentor, Frank Makowski. He has some hidden secrets that will come in handy when placed undercover on a new case, along with Alex Makowski. Not a stranger to BDSM, will he be able to indoctrinate Alex into the scene as they go undercover as a Daddy and little girl?
Alex Makowski feels like she never lived up to her father’s dreams. First off, she wasn’t the son her father wanted, no matter how prolific she became in sports, camping, handling a weapon, and martial arts. Then she hears nothing but praises from her father about his partner and protégé, Connor Doyle. I found that I liked the characters and I didn't mind the hot sex scenes those are always a winner.

Alex is always trying to be the cop she thinks her father wanted. She tries too hard which tends to get her in trouble with her colleagues. After being put on leave for her latest escapade, she has a chance to redeem herself by going undercover with Connor in the kink world as a little and her Daddy.
I loved Alex's snarkiness and her willingness to try new kinky things that she never imagined would turn her on. Conner is great as a Daddy, co-worker, friend and lover. He helps her discover her inner little and her joy of being a police officer.

Best read in a long time. I so enjoyed this book!
The writing was smooth and flowed so well I found it hard to put down. Ms. Deane also took the time to explain the feelings of the characters so I understood why they felt the way they did. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

I loved this story so much! Katherine Deane delivered a romantic, engaging and sexy tale. I loved the way the relationship developed between Alex and Connor. There was plenty of spice to heat up the reader along the way. The action was constant, and the suspense kept you guessing throughout. Not only is it a great introduction to role playing, but it is written with respect to those who enjoy this kind of lifestyle. It was sexy and passionate with sweet tender moments. Thank you for another wonderful erotic adventure, Ms Deane.

Oh wow just finished reading this amazing story. Twenty-five-year-old cop Alex Makowski and sergeant Conner were perfect together as they go under cover. They will both be put to the test but together they both have to work together in order to go under cover in an age play roles. I really enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry was off the charts hot I really enjoyed this book. I received this advanced readers copy for my honest opinion review

This book is very entertaining. Alex is still striving to be the son she thinks her father wanted and is certainly very capable in a number of areas. She is however a little impetuous and this leads her into trouble at work when she rushes in to help someone without realising that she was putting the bigger operation at risk. Consequently, she ends up working with Connor which was a mixed blessing. On the one hand she has wanted him for years but on the other hand, she harboured some resentment because she believes her father regarded him as the son he always wanted. During their undercover assignment some spanking and age play is thrown into the mix which sends Alex's emotions into uproar. There is some danger and some misunderstandings which they both struggle with. Well worth reading. I received this book as an advance review copy.

If you can suspend disbelief that two professionals would engage in this kind of relationship while on the job (I'm not talking about the relationship they were "pretending" to have), then this is a decent book. It's consensual, decently written and edited, Alex is strong and stays strong, and Connor really does care for her. Also, the dd/lg isn't so overwhelming that those who aren't into this kink would dislike it (ymmv).

I enjoyed this story. I have purchased books by this author in the past and borrowed some of her books with KU.
Alex and Connor were great characters. The author gives us backgrounds on each, so that we can thoroughly understand each character. Alex is the typical kid trying to follow in her father's footsteps and earn his approval but feels that she never quite lived up to his expectations. Connor is the bright and upcoming younger partner of her father and the one that her father boasted about. Alex's open personality draws people to her (especially a certain fellow Officer). Connor's caring and protectiveness show in all of his actions.
The story follows Alex and Connor as they go undercover to find the threat at the pageant. During their research together(mostly hers as he is a Dom with experience - though not a Daddy), they are drawn to each other and get to know each other better. It is kind of a mixture of friends to lovers and discovering a Big/Little relationship type of story. But no matter how you classify the story, it was an enjoyable read and it was over way too soon. I will be reading more from this author.

I am really picky about ageplay books, but I loved this one. It was just the right amount of play. Alex was such a great strong, feisty but also caring character. Conner the perfect daddy dom. They had great chemistry together.

Spanking romances for me are a take it or leave it proposition. Some of them are just too much spanking, discipline, and age-play, all which do not appeal to me. Same with Daddy Dom dynamics. Some of them are fine, but add the age play aspect and it gets dicey. So I wasn’t sure going into this if I was going to even get through the whole book. I’m happy to report I did, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The problem comes in when her ‘Daddy’ is her father’s ex-partner Connor. Despite everything, they get together and enter the contest.
They have to deal with a drama queen who thinks it’s all about her, looking for suspects, and sceneing in public. All the while feelings get involved, but are they mutual? And will Connor be able to protect Alex? Grab a copy of Undercover Daddy and find out.

The story is solid and I really liked how Deane delved into the world of the “littles”, it was interesting and complex. She didn’t make it out to be anything it isn’t and the relationships between the “littles” and the Doms were always consensual and what everyone needed.
The story is about Alex and Conner who are both cops and sent undercover to find who has sent threats against the winner of a “little” pageant. They must fully immerse themselves into the roles of Daddy Dom and little. This brings up a lot of unresolved issues and feeling for Alex revolving around her own father and their lack of relationship.
The spanking scenes between Alex and Conner were downright scorching, they seriously heated the pages. I just wish Deane had given us more of them being intimate other than spanking. Had Connor not said they were lovers I would have thought that spanking was all they had.

This was a good read-sexy, sweet, funny, romantic & was overall a very engaging mix. I loved Alex's intro and acceptance into this world and finding her little and that it wasn't so over the top that it would turn someone new to this genre/type of kink away :). The couple has great chemistry and are just fantastic together. It's still an ageplay but it's done in such a great way that I think it caters to such a broader fan base than many of them do. I think some of the background history got a little lengthy in inopportune times and started to draw me personally away from the story and I would have liked to see more of the current story and maybe even a little more sexy action lol. There were some editing errors but it wasn't too bad. Overall I really liked this story and would recommend reading it.
