I want to thank CL Shaffer as I won this book in a giveaway. It was interesting and had several plot twists. While I believe the author has a broad view of Christianity, I appreciate the Christian perspective, while showing that Christian thinking people DO have faults and continuously need Grace in their lives. I often thought of Bill Murray's character in the movie "Groundhog Day" when comparing it to the "gift" that the main character of this story had. I would absolutely read more books from Ms Shaffer it I have the opportunity.
The Link That Could Not Be Broken was a book I felt was slow in the beginning. I realized this was so you could meet and learn all the characters. It did pick up and I found it to be one of those books you wanted to continue to see what happened and how it worked out. It also showed how something you said or did could be seen or heard and could turn someone around to God.
The storyline was an intriguing idea. Being immortal to aid in another coming to Christ is not an idea I have read before. It is not the style of writing I enjoy reading. There is a lot action and it does move relatively fast. I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.
