Nothing in Ivory's life is simple anymore. Not her past, not her son's safety, and definitely not Elias. After the chaos at Liam's school, long buried shadows resurface, dragging Ivory back into memories she swore she'd never face again. Old faces return and every answer she thinks she has only leads to more questions.
Elias isn't making things easier. He's colder. Quieter. And the space between them becomes a breeding ground for tension neither of them knows how to control or walk away from. But Ivory isn't the only one Elias is watching.
Someone has made a move against him and the retaliation he plans is darker than anything Ivory has ever imagined. Every step he takes pulls him deeper into a war that doesn't care who it destroys, and every choice he makes drags Ivory further into a life she never asked for.
As secrets unravel and motives collide, Ivory and Elias are forced to face the one thing they fear most...each other. But when violence erupts on a day that was supposed to be innocent, one moment of gunfire changes everything.
Blood spills leaving one question hanging in the air like smoke...who didn't make it out alive?
When I say I AM INVESTED in this story?! 😩📚 Baby, I’m speed-racing through these pages because I NEED to know what happens next… only to turn around and reread because I know good and well I probably missed something in my rush! 😂🏃🏾♀️💨
First things FIRST… ELIAS IS 🥜🥜🥜! That’s it. That’s the review. That man is NUTS. 😭😂 And somehow, every time he appears on the page, I’m sitting up a little straighter because what are you about to do NOW, sir?! 👀
I’m glad Ivory finally trusted him enough to tell him what NEEDED to be told. Because ma’am… we cannot keep carrying all of THAT by ourselves! 😮💨👏🏾
And Wesley? Chile… 😒 We just gon’ leave that right there because I’m trying to keep this review respectful. 😂🤐
This is my first time reading this author, and I am thoroughly pleased! 🙌🏾 She knows how to paint a picture without just throwing information at you. She’s giving each of these key players their own personality, their own presence, and enough layers to have me forming opinions like I personally know these people. 😂
At this point, I’m not just reading I’m NOSY AND EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED. 🤣📖👀
And after THAT ending?! BOOK 3, IMMEDIATELY! 🏃🏾♀️💨📚 Because baby, stuff just went ALL THE WAY LEFT and at this point I don’t even know if everybody is going to make it out alive! 😳😩😂 I have questions, concerns, and absolutely NO patience.
So yeah… whatever plans I had? CANCELLED. Book 3 has entered the chat because I NEED ANSWERS! 😂📖🔥
Now that’s a cliffhanger! Elias is better in this book than book 1….he’s learning to love and respect Ivory finally 🙄 My girl is still struggling because of her past and her son’s health but her son being shot will destroy her and if he dies, she won’t survive that
Not Lil Liam, Ivory is about to crash out on everybody. Elias thought her was the devil he hasn’t seen nothing once he call Ivory and tell her about her Son…. Let me get to part 3 because the anticipation is killing me!
Boy things just keep coming at Ivory and Elias! They both are running from their true feelings! Secrets are coming to the light, Mateo is still on the loose along with Lorenzo and now this ending! Wow can't wait for what's coming next! Great series!
