About the author

James Islington was born and raised in southern Victoria, Australia. His influences growing up were the stories of Raymond E. Feist and Robert Jordan, but it wasn't until later, when he read Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series - followed soon after by Patrick Rothfuss' Name of the Wind - that he was finally inspired to sit down and write something of his own. He now lives with his wife and two children on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

I think I'm legit cursed.

EVERY TIME I try to read a different book after TSOAF, I wish I was reading this book. Every time I even think about reading something else, I wish I was reading this book.

I can't get it off my mind 😭. Like, ever.

The only other thing I have to say is that if I have to to wait till 2028 (when I will be NO KIDDING 18<--so almost dead), SOMETHING is going to snap. Me, you, the whole GR compound...we'll see.

Regardless, it won't be good.

All this to say: hurry up, dear torturous book. Please 🥹💔✨⏳

I sure do love seeing "trilogy" and then finding there are only two books.

almost as good as when the trilogy is in its seventh book. (looking at you, pierce brown)

I'll update the review and rating when I cam actually read the title and give an honest review, not gushing like the fanboy reviews posted so far.

looking forward to reading the final(?) book in the series.
