First off, let me say that I like Tyler and have no issues with him.
However, what's really bothering me about this Ravenhood Legacy order is that we got Dom's book first, which made perfect sense. But now, we're getting Tyler's book right after? Excuse me, but how did we jump from Dom to Tyler while completely skipping Sean's book?
I'm talking about our Sean, the one who's been with us since day one. The Sean who's been Dom's best friend since childhood. The Sean who stood there, frozen, watching Dom covered in blood, yet we never got to see what went through his head because the author skipped right past it! We needed his POV then, and we still need it now. He deserves his own book! ASAP, please and thank you!

The Ravenhood and Legacy series have had me in a chokehold since I started this series back in 2023.
I’ve been practically gnawing at the bars of my enclosure for this book after Severed Heart’s diabolical ending.
Let me start this review by prefacing that this is the darkest of any of the books within both of these series, in my opinion. The themes are severely dark and heavy, and the main characters are horrible to one another—ESPECIALLY, Tyler’s behavior to Larissa. For many, his behavior will be unforgivable, and I completely understand that stance. If you’re uncomfortable with a captor x captive dynamic, this WON’T be the book for you.
Now, let’s get into it.
Kate Stewart has a talent for making you feel every emotion when reading her books and deeply connecting with her characters. And this was no exception. Did this book live up to my 5-star expectations? No, BUT I really liked this book as a whole and where it fits within the Ravenhood and Legacy series.
This side of Tyler was hard to stomach. I’m not sure I ever anticipated how horrendous and malicious he would be, which made me very uncomfortable as a reader. At the 80% mark I wasn’t even sure I could ever forgive him. And honestly? I don’t think I have FULLY 🙈
Larissa is a force to be reckoned with. Tyler has met his match with this woman. She is lethal, conniving, and calculated. Overall I love her character, but I was hoping for a bit more development (my girl needs some serious therapy), which I feel was a bit clouded over by … the big event that basically unfolds into the second half. It started to feel like her character development was only to further build up Tyler’s story rather than her truly standing on her own, if that makes sense? I honestly wish Kate didn’t introduce that trope into this book…but, alas, this isn’t my story and my preferences don’t matter. I personally think it muddied the story, and I feel like it set a different tone to their dynamic a bit too prematurely. I also don’t tend to like that trope as a plot device, so maybe I can’t separate my own bias from this review.
The beginning of this book was a bit hard to get into. I felt it was a bit info dumpy, and I oddly felt the same in the epilogue. The middle was probably the strongest when it came to pacing, plot progression, and character development (in my opinion).
While I have issues with Larissa’s character progression near the end, I’m overall happy with Tyler’s character progression. Although I wish he didn’t do some of what he did, I think he redeemed himself the best he could.
I also didn’t anticipate how this story would actually mirror Tobias, Cecilia and Sean dynamic, which I thought was a unique spin that nicely tied the series together. I still will forever be bitter about Tessa, idc 🤣
The ending of this book had my jaw on the floor because WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! THAT TITLE?! IS THIS ABOUT WHO I THINK IT’S ABOUT?!
A sincere thank you to Kensington for gifting me a paperback ARC ahead of its release.
The book is a thick one because Larissa deserves every bit of recognition she got. I went in to this with an open mind but an already severed heart due to the loss of General Half Pint. So while I was ready to meet Larissa, I was hesitant because how could she ever compare to Delphine? And the answer is, she can’t and she won’t because there’s nothing to compare. Larissa is a woman of her own category. With her resilience, strength, unmatched loyalty, and the way she handles EVERYTHING thrown her way, she’s the perfect match for Tyler in every way possible and she spends a good amount of her life proving it. This story was the ride of a lifetime, giving me extremely high highs and the lowest of lows. I felt every struggle but I also felt every beautiful moment to the fullest because Kate left no stone unturned. Tyler and Larissa fight to hell and back but no matter what, they persevere. And don’t even get me started on the ending, all I can say is GIVE ME THE NEXT BOOK.
I want to be completely honest, and I want to preface that this is ✨ MY ✨ experience, I encourage everyone to experience this book for yourself.
Kate is a favorite author for me, she wrote my all time favorite book, so this could entirely be a "me problem", but I struggled with this story.
I genuinely went in with the most open mind, wanting nothing but the best for Tyler after everything he went through. He's a man that has given everything he has for everyone else, who has lost more than anyone should and who deserves the world for who he is despite it all. I love Tyler. Always have, always will.
But this story was so information heavy, it was a lot to keep track of and it was hard for me to connect with the characters. And that connection is what I need in a story.
That being said I did feel deeply for Tyler and his grief.. there was this overwhelming sense of emptiness through much of it.
After severed heart, I think I unknowingly carried that emptiness for him. I desperately wanted more for him in this life but the most emotional moments for me were parts that involved Delphine.
I just never fully felt his love story with Larissa. I think the information overload in this book overshadowed their love story for me.
The second half did feel stronger, but for a 720 page book, it took a very long time to get there and it took a lot for me to push through.
I know Kate has so much more planned for this series, it's clear with how much she set up in BoaF, especially with that ending!! I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all.
I do wonder if I would have listened to the audiobook, if it would have been a better experience overall?
I loved the other books .... this one .... I feel like she ran out of steam ... tried to hold the story up with "Dark Romance" tropes .... the Ravenhood plot .... almost non existent and sooooo anticlimactic. I was really hoping to deep dive in Tyler's head .... learn details and depth of the Ravenhood missions ... instead we got Tyler that didn't even feel the same ... and honestly ... she went too far with the character change .... I'm a little mad at Larissa for ending up with him. .... oh and using the babies as his please let me stay 🤮 poor Larissa ... she feels like she got lumped in by default .... sooooo bummed about this book ..... I adored Severed Heart ... honestly I think it was one of my favs of the entire series
This one .... left me annoyed and bored 😔
Oooohhhhhh and .... I did a full relisten just before .... changing the voices of some of the main characters .... it was jarring ... almost like changing Daniel Radcliffe 5 movies in
If it had been a stand alone .... not part of This series ...: maybe ... I could have given it a middle of road review ....
5🌟 If there’s one thing about Kate, it’s that she is going to write an emotional story that will resonate deep within your soul. I was nervous about meeting a new FMC after the heartbreak of Severed Heart, but Larissa is perfect for Tyler and I’m so happy he is getting another chance at finding love while never forgetting Delphine in his heart. Tyler, our marine.. and his flashbacks tore my freaking heart OUT. This man has seen the ugliest part of this world, but has never once forgot his why. “Because I can’t forget what our original ambitions were, and I can’t accept this world as it is now.” And Larissa.. ugh this woman has also seen the darkest pits of hell. I loved seeing Tobias and Sean pop up (even though I’m still bitter about Tessa, it’s whatever) LOL. Butttttt what an emotional freaking ride!!! So much character development from both Tyler and Larissa and I loved seeing everything tie together. But on a real note… I need the next book IMMEDIATELY 🫠🫠
Overall, I'd give this book 4.25 stars. I really liked it, but I LOVED Severed Heart and this one was harder for me to read. The second half of the book was easier to get through than the first half. Watching Tyler hit rock bottom was unreal and so heart breaking, but I think it was my favorite part of the whole book. I'm so glad his family was there to support him. Tyler's mom was the real MVP.
As far as characters go, I was so happy to see more sprinkles of our beloved birds. I'm still not sure how I feel about Larissa. It's unfair to compare her to Delphine, I know I know, but I can't help it. Larissa is fierce, loyal, and has lived through some of the cruelest things humanity can throw at her. Yes, she's Tyler match in a lot of ways. With that said, I'm still lukewarm toward her.
*Second chance *Deception *Corruption *Mafia

Thank you so much to Hambright PR, Kate Stewart, Kensington Publishing, and NetGalley for the ARC!
Are you kiddinggg… I wanted Tyler’s story so bad!!👏🏼
I read The Ravenhood series in March this year but still haven’t read “One Last Rainy Day” because my heart can’t handle it. Now I have to read it so before Tyler’s story comes out 😭🫶🏼
First allow me to profusely thank NetGalley, Kensington Books, and Kate Stewart for the honor of receiving this eARC early in exchange for reading and delivering an honest review.
Do NOT read this review before reading The Ravenhood Series and The Ravenhood Legacy books (One Last Rainy Day & Severed Heart) as I do not want to spoil any portion of these books for new readers (or seasoned ones!).
🐦⬛ 🐦⬛ 🐦⬛ 🐦⬛ 🐦⬛ 🐦⬛
If you’ve ever read a novel by Kate Stewart, you know she has a penchant for pulling on a reader’s heartstrings, often managing to find the loosest one just in time to send the reader’s heart careening towards the floor. Tears inevitably race to catch the plummeting heart soaking through tissues at an alarming rate! The emotional damage left in the wake of these stories is a punishment that we crave over and over again, easily evidenced by the sheer number of rereads and social media posts lamenting how we love rainy days (don’t we baby?).
From the first time we met Sean in Flock, I knew he had more happening under the hood than what we could see! We catch a glimpse of that with how much we get to see of the boys’ youth in Severed Heart but it truly jumps off the page in BoaF. All I can say is, I never thought I’d see the day…
I cannot wait to discuss some of the finer details of this book and Dom’s role in it despite his glaring absence. It makes so much sense now and my heart hurts all over again! 😭
In this book, we meet Larissa and from the start she’s volatile, violent, and valiant! She’s powerful but raw and when mixed with Tyler’s cynical heat, they are a fucking powder keg! 💥 Larissa is not just A bad ass, she’s my new favorite bad ass!
My heart went from being so hurt for Tyler at the end of Severed Heart to downright angry at him for some of his choices in BoaF! BLINK. BLACK.
And while I would love to continue my thoughts on BoaF in detail, I think I’d rather just leave it... 🧗🏼♀️

I could not put this book down. I just love Tyler so much and don’t get me started on Larissa. I think I have a new favorite FMC👏🏻🩷 I love this story, love the Ravens, and that ending….seriously😬🫣
I’m going to reread this with the audiobook, because those vulnerable scenes just wrecked my heart!!
Thank you Kate, and Hambright PR for the opportunity to read this early.
There is no reason why this book needed to be 600+ pages long. This book unnecessarily verbose to the point where I started skipping pages halfway through a conversation.
There’s something to be said about Kate Stewart’s books. Her writing and ability to tell a story are phenomenal. The depth and layering she brings to every single story feels unmatched, a talent completely her own. That said, as much as I adore her writing, I didn’t love the storytelling in this particular book.
I knew going into this that I would probably struggle, and that’s completely on me. Severed Heart was an infinity-star read for me. I think about it daily. I got emotional reading it, cried heavily through it, and even the small pieces of Delphine in this book still choked me up. I loved the echoes and reminders of her throughout the story. Honestly, I don’t think anything could top that relationship for me, so this book was always going to have a hard time winning me over.
Unfortunately, the relationship here felt rushed and forced. Overall, I think Tyler deserved more or better.
“He was my miracle” irritated me. The surprise bomb irritated me. The lack of Ravenhood organization involvement irritated me. The parallels between The Finish Line and Birds of a Feather felt a little too copy-and-paste for me. The attempted love triangle irritated me, remove Alonso from the story and it’s still the same story so what’s the point? The lack of reciprocal romance irritated me.
The beginning hooked me, but as the story progressed, it slowly climbed before ultimately falling flat for me.
I also think I would’ve connected more with Larissa if she had been tied into the organization or the White House storyline somehow. Turning it into a mafia storyline felt completely left field.
Do I think Tyler would’ve chased Larissa if the surprise pregnancy hadn’t been introduced? Honestly, no.
“Our beautiful babies keep us tethered” basically summed up their entire relationship for me in a single line. It felt less like an epic romance and more like two people being held together by circumstance rather than an undeniable connection.
With all that said, I am glad Tyler got his HEA but I truly believe we could have waited longer (or maybe a different story in between) until this was fleshed out and less than 800 pages. Also wanted to add that I wish Maxine and Joe were back for Sean and Ceclia’s narration.
Thank you Hambright PR for the eARC.

✨5 Star Read✨ 📚Publication Date: 26th May 2026 📖Author: Kate Stewart | Series: The Ravenhood Legacy Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
“In order to keep a secret, you have to be able to successfully tell a lie”
Birds of a Feather delivers: 💚 Tyler’s Story ❤️🔥Enemies to Lovers 🤫Secrets that Change Everything 🤏Forced Proximity 🧑🧑🧒🧒Brotherhood/Found Family 💸Dark Underworld Romance
First and foremost, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to @hambrightuk for this amazing opportunity! I genuinely squealed when I saw this eARC in my inbox! This is definitely a pinch-me moment in my Bookstagram journey, and I’m completely over the moon to have been given this experience.
I first read the Ravenhood series last year and quickly became obsessed! From the very first book, I was hooked with Dom and Tyler easily becoming my favourite characters❤ Kate once again delivers a story full of heart, emotion, and impact along with a few dark twists along the way!
I completely devoured this book and finished it in two days! I loved Tyler before, and I think I may be even more obsessed with him now🤭This book has completely taken over my life, and Tyler and Larissa have officially become my favourite main characters in the series. I was constantly thinking about what was going to happen next, and I couldn’t wait to read more❤️
After everything Tyler has been through, I was very intrigued in how this book would unfold and I can say without a doubt that Larissa is the perfect match for Tyler. Every interaction had me gasping and the enemies to lovers dynamic was executed perfectly! The chemistry between them was absolutely unreal and I became so invested in both characters.
Birds of a Feather is so beautifully raw and deeply emotional. Tyler had me tearing up many times but the journey both characters go on is extremely powerful. The way that Kate takes her characters from the darkest moments to love and healing is incredible! Kate excels at this every time!
As a Dom girlie, I was very happy to still feel Dom presence in the story and how much his impact still factors into the story🩷 Now the ending, the way that I gasped!😱 I have no idea what’s going to happen next but I’m counting down the days until the next book!
Thank you to Kensington books, Hambright PR and author Kate Stewart for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I feel like I’ve waited forever for this book and now that I’ve finally read it…just wow! This book absolutely consumed me from start to finish. I already knew from the teasers that Larissa and Tyler were going to be explosive together, but nothing could’ve prepared me for just how phenomenal their story would be.
These two feel inevitable in the best way, like they were always destined to find each other no matter how messy, painful, or complicated the road became. The chemistry is unreal. The tension, the push and pull, the lingering “hate,” the secrets, the emotional chaos, THIS is what addictive storytelling looks like! Kate Stewart has this way of making every interaction feel loaded with meaning and emotion, and I was hanging onto every single page.
The character development in this one is honestly insane. The Tyler we meet at the beginning of the book versus the man we see by the end feels like two completely different people. Watching that transformation unfold was equal parts beautiful and so so so emotional. And Larissa? Easily one of my top FMCs ever now. Her strength, resilience, and heart completely blew me away. I admired her so much.
One of my favorite things about this world will always be the Ravens and the layers of mystery, loyalty, and emotion woven through every character. I loved all the familiar faces and can we please get a whole book about Julien because I need it immediately!
And that ending?! Miss Kate Stewart what was that?! That cliffhanger has me unwell and I cannot believe we’re so close to the end of this series.
Thank you so much to Kensington Pub and Hambright PR for the ARC opportunity!
I might be the only one who didn’t love this. To me Tyler’s story ended with Delphine. I went into the story with the mindset that no one would compare and they didn’t. Their love story was elite and yes you can have more than one love in a lifetime but I was just not into it at all. Even the action was so centered around her that I didn’t like it either. At 97% in, I felt my heartstrings being pulled and it was bc they focused on Delphine.
All the stars for Tyler Carter Jennings who has my whole heart & soul💚
I loved Larissa at first, then I ended up despising her. I have truly nothing nice to say so I’m just going to keep my mouth shut because I’m genuinely so upset with how I feel over this book.
I honestly don’t know how to rate this book. While I love Tyler and the entire ravenhood, this just felt all wrong. I loved seeing how Tyler moves on the board and I also was expecting his issues from fighting so many wars and keeping all the secrets and walking around with an albatross around his neck. That would be too heavy for anyone. Add in his deep grief that he wouldn’t deal with and it’s a recipe for destruction. His and anyone in his vicinity. I feel like with any book dark romances walk a fine line especially with enemies to lovers. I feel like this crossed the line several times and to be frank it really turned me off for both characters. Tyler for being absolutely ruthless and heartless and Larissa for being physically/verbally abusive to Tyler. I think she smacked or punched his face in several times. I mean if a hero did this in the book with the heroine it would be end of days for the book and the author. So I’m not going to be a hypocrite and I’m calling it out. Even his son punches him in the face. Here’s a guy who is walking around blinking black to disassociate and he’s catching rights and lefts. I also feel this was drawn out too long. After spending hundreds of pages being disgusted and feeling badly for fictional characters like they are family we get an epilogue of a look into where they are at. So pain and suffering and a glimpse of the good. That just doesn’t work for me as a reader. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Kate Stewart because she makes you feel all the feelings and yes I cried my way through this book. And at the end I just kinda felt differently about a character I have loved throughout the series. And for a new character who was brave and strong and had as many flaws and insecurities and wounds as Tyler. I’m just not down with how hurtful and heartless most of this turned out to be. Two very hurt people hurting each other for 700 pages is a lot for the payoff to be so anticlimactic. I did love seeing Cecelia stick up for Tyler. Her text message to him was beautiful. I love all the birds. And of course that ending was something. I just don’t know how to rate this book because while I love the character I wasn’t loving how it played out. I know for a fact I will not re-read this one. As for the audiobook, I like Grayson for Tyler. I don’t like him when he does Tobias or any accent. It’s horrible. And I didn’t like the voice for Cecelia either. It’s jarring and it takes me out of the story.
Tyler Carter Jennings the MAN you are ! Wow this book was incredible ( I’ll explain why the 4.5 ✨)
There is no found family like a Kate Stewart x Ravenhood found family, what incredible characters, the banter, the love, the brotherhood. Tobias and Sean 😭😭😭
The story + the audio?! Absolutely 5 ✨ they were absolutely phenomenal!!
Now the romance. First and foremost, I’m so happy Tyler got his HEA! No one deserved it more than he did. But me personally (!!) have a hard time with the idea of moving on after your soulmate is gone and what Tyler and Dalphene had was COSMIC. Even though Late Stewart handled it beautifully and Larissa was absolutely incredible, strong, and loving, the concept of Tyler with someone else is really hard for me.
So this is just a personal preference but aside from that, like any other Kate Stewart book, this was perfect.
Don't blink or you'll miss all the tiny details that Kate crafted.
This story was enticing from the first page. I couldn't put it down. Watching Tyler embodied in the "blink" space... how convincing he was, even to the reader. It's only a testament to Kate's ability of storytelling.
Larissa... the strength that radiates from her, even when she feels weak, is extraordinary.
I was blind sided. I laughed, at Sean mostly. Even shed a few tears, also because of Sean.
But Tyler's healing and the reasons for it... it was immensely beautiful. Watching him learn that love can exist multiple times, in different ways, and in different forms... it was incredibly healing.
Kate, I don't know how that incredible mind works but please never stop writing these stories.
NOW THIS IS THE TYLER I LIKE! Holy moly! I will be rereading this book since I feel like there was so much information. This book is on a whole other level. It brings all the books full circle. But the last few pages is where it’s at. It’s where the ball drops and will leave your heart pounding. I am forever a Doms girl. But good gracious did Tyler almost steal the show. It’s like he was a completely different character. Mind blown.
