J. G. Bustos was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. He holds a BFA in Communications with a major in Audiovisual Arts from his alma mater the UCAB in Caracas. He then fled his home country to pursue an education in writing for Film and TV at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. After ten years in the United States, he decided to move to the United Kingdom where he continues to write the next entries in the Steamblood series.
