The night my father is murdered, I don’t break.
As the heir to a multibillion-dollar logistics empire, I take control.

My father built Stone Intermodal from nothing. Now we control the Gulf. Everyone waits to see if I’ll falter with him gone.

I don’t.

Instead, I kidnap the daughter of the man responsible.
It’s a risky move no one can ignore.

I'm not going anywhere.

She was supposed to be leverage.
A message.
Proof I handle my own wars.

What I didn’t count on is the way she looks at me.
The way she steps closer instead of backing away.
The way her touch lingers, daring me to stop her.

She’s my enemy’s daughter. Taking her to my bed could destroy everything I’m fighting for. But I want her anyway.

The deeper I dig for the truth, the clearer one thing becomes.
Taking her wasn’t the risk.
Wanting her is.

Ridge is such a fun, addictive read it honestly hooked me right away. Blakely Stone has this super easy, casual writing style that still manages to hit with a lot of emotion, and Ridge really shows that. The story feels fast paced but still gives you enough time to connect with the characters, especially Ridge himself, who is impossible not to be intrigued by.

Ridge is one of those characters who comes off strong and a little guarded at first, but the more you read, the more you realize there’s a lot going on underneath. He’s confident and intense, but not in an over-the-top way it feels natural, like he’s just used to being in control. At the same time, you can see the cracks in that control, especially when things start to get more personal. Watching him struggle with opening up and letting someone in makes his character feel really real and honestly kind of addictive to read about.

Coco is such a standout too. She’s bold, sharp, and doesn’t let Ridge get away with anything, which makes their interactions so entertaining. I loved how she has her own energy and doesn’t just fall into his world she challenges him, pushes back, and brings out sides of him you wouldn’t otherwise see. She’s confident but still relatable, and she adds so much personality to every scene she’s in.

Their chemistry is definitely the highlight of the book. The back-and-forth between Ridge and Coco is full of tension, humor, and those softer moments that sneak up on you. It never feels forced they build trust gradually, and you really feel that shift as their relationship develops. It’s the kind of dynamic that keeps you turning pages because you just want to see what happens next.

Overall, Ridge is just a really enjoyable, character-driven story with a lot of heart. It’s got that perfect mix of intensity, romance, and personality, and it leaves you feeling invested in both Ridge and Coco by the end. If you’re into strong character dynamics and relationships that actually grow over time, this one is definitely worth reading.

This was my first book by the author. I found the story somewhat confusing, as it begins almost without any real introduction—the reader is practically dropped straight into the middle of the events. It took quite a while before it became clear what the family actually does, and it was also difficult to piece together who the siblings were and how they were related to one another.
The development of the relationship between the two main characters also feels as though things simply happen rather than truly unfold. The narrative is largely descriptive, which made it feel somewhat distant and less personal to me. Although there was ultimately some chemistry between Ridge and Coco, I felt that the emotional climax—the sense of catharsis, tension, and passion—was missing.
The ending felt somewhat rushed, as if the author had grown tired of the story and chose to conclude it quickly. This is unfortunate, because the underlying mystery is genuinely intriguing, and the way it initially begins to unfold is promising. What starts out as an exciting and suspenseful mafia story gradually shifts toward something closer to a light romance novel by the end.
I also found the final fifty pages completely unnecessary. They not only feel out of place compared to the tone of the rest of the story, but they also do not seem to align with the personalities that had been established for the characters. To me, it almost felt as if those pages belonged to an entirely different story. While I understand the message the author intended with the ending, I did not particularly like the way it was executed.

This is Book 1 of The Stone Legacy series. It is a FANtastic start!

'I took her because I believed she was the fastest way to the truth.
She figured out how to make that work in her favor.'

The characters were very complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

This is Book 1 in The Stone Legacy Series by this author. It is a heartfelt romance between Ridge and Coco. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an interesting read. What starts out as an abduction turns into something more. It is a love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, suspense and danger, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. An emotional ride.

Ridge and Coco were fire in this story. So well written and filled with suspense and action. The twists and turns had me completely intrigued wanting to know what was going to happen next. This story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was so intense. The desire between the two was explosive. Definitely some spice going on. This is the first time I’ve read this author and it won’t be my last.

Seeking the Truth

What an intense read! Ridge is thrust into taking over when his father is murdered. Taking the daughter of his father's enemy was supposed to lead him to the truth, but his connection to Coco builds into something they both did not expect. It was an exciting story with many moving parts that kept my interest right from the start. The plot was engaging and the characters full of depth.

I read this in a buddy read group along with the author. I absolutely loved Ridge and Coco (MMC & FMC). Great story, and there were several moments where the anticipation built up, waiting to see what turn the story was going to take. Situations had me questioning the motives of others in the story!!

Ridge has to take over the family business after his father dies suddenly. A steamy read where Coco is kidnapped by Ridge, but the results are not what either expected. With family, legacy, drama and violence, this is a first in a series of billionaire brothers I am looking forward to reading.

This book has it all- deceit, deception, murder, kidnapping, misdirection and more. The main characters try their best to keep messy things like feeling out of the equation but that only works for so long. So many different sides at play but it kept you on your toes trying to figure out who did what!.

What a good book! Set in New Orleans the story unfolds with the family who controls the ports. There is another important family who controls the labor and a third family who is a minor player on the control of the shipping lanes. When the power dynamic shifts chaos reigns. Add to that a love story between those who shouldn't and know it and you have a winner! Very good!

Leverage
Coco was supposed to be leverage after Ridge’s father was killed. But once he has her, she becomes more, more than a bargaining chip. And for her? Ridge becomes everything, especially after he lets her go.
