A book about the-day-to-day life of living in a Hutterite community located on the prairies of Manitoba Canada. The Author Giselle Waldner lives in a Hutterite Colony with her parents, four brothers, and her beloved dog Kona.
Giselle is such a sweet young lady. I have enjoyed her YouTube channel for a while now. Her videos are always so interesting and she has a talent for telling her story in such a way that it feels like you are having an afternoon coffee and chat with a good friend. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about her life and the pictures were fabulous.
Love her sweet relaxing way of describing a life that values connection with others, nature, and most importantly God. Values that often get pushed to the side in the modern fast paced world. It’s not a traditional book but just collection of moments and photos that make it easy to read and pickup whenever the mood strikes. Was very enjoyable thank you Giselle for writing this!
If you love reading about a wholesome, self sufficient, spiritual life, you'll love this book. Even though English is her second language, Giselle paints a vivid picture of her life as a Hutterite. Since I love her content on Youtube, I knew I'd love her book. She did not disappoint!
I have been a fan and following Giselle for some time. Reading the story here, it's evident this entire book is a love story. A love so real and pure between Giselle and her beautiful community and faith! So sweet and inspired!
Absolutely loved it, a unique glimpse into the world of a Manitoba Hutterite Colony. Thanks to the author and the people she lives with for sharing their lives with us. Beautiful photos and descriptions.
A book of tender and poetic vignettes about a unique way of life. This sweet and gentle book gives you a glimpse into the Hutterite culture. It’s a tribute to her people and a love letter to the joys of living a life in touch with the seasons, the beauty of the prairies, and faith.
I watch Giselle every week on YouTube. Her videos are like a little vacation. Nothing fancy just a pleasant little visit into her life. Loved the book.
