Me: i'm so sick of smut lately.

The premise in short:
Humans are conscripted into a compulsory program when they turn 21, that means that have to give cum once a week to a monster via dick sucking........ in exchange for like...... peace and medicine or some shit? (idk, the lore was messy af)

But our monster, Rath, tastes Ev's cum and becomes infatuated and goes tweaker-mode and can't be without Ev's cum.....

So naturally, offers to pay him, so he can quit his job at the hot dog stand and become his full time cum provider.....

The first 75% of this was waaaaaaaaaaaaay cuter than I expected???
It was wholesome af, even if the premise is humans getting shloppy toppy for unknown reasons.
The relationship was developing SUPER CUTE (considering all the dick sucking going on as Ev signs a contract for 15 CUMS PER DAY......)

I loved that Ev was resistant to Ev, and their dynamic was very.... human in charge of the big monster, even though the monster doesn't realise how whipped he is.........

I was having a 5 star time...... Until the plot/world lore tried rear it's ugly head, and it was a whole ass mess.
I got no answers.
Plotholes felt wide open.
Smut scenes were being added at the stupidest times. (like bro, srsly stop, now is not the time to flop your cock out)
Lore was messy and unclear.
So many "we will discuss this later..." moments that LEAD TO A BIG OLD CONVERSATION THAT EXPLAINED NOTHING.🙄🙄🙄

I'm confused, angry, kinda horny, need a snack.
Fuck the ending of this book for ruining my 5 star time.

bare with whilst i write my thoughts because i have some.

so for the first 70% of this book i was all in, i LOVED it. there is something about the classic monster romance trope of monster doesn't understand human norms so is silly and takes things very literally that i just love. it's endearing, it's funny, it's cute.

and this book did that trope really well.

“You cannot enter my eyes.”
“I do not have a butthead.”

the whole premise was that these aliens/monsters called the vyastil came to earth through these portals, offered humanity cures to illnesses, new technology etc but in return needed humans to give them their cum.

(yes, i know... it's insane, but you have to really suspend reality when you're reading fucking monster smut.)

anyway, once semen producing humans reach 21 they are kinda conscripted into giving cum to these monsters (due to some weird treaty with the humans), you can get exemptions... honestly it's kinda like jury service. and once humans reach 60 or get married or fall ill they can stop.

we follow a guy called everest who's whole backstory is that he's been like cooped up inside most of his life but is super curious about these monster and once he reaches 21 and freedom is very willing to give his cum. he goes to the clinic and the first monster he meets is this army commander called rathyn who insults his tiny penis lol but ends up really liking the taste of his cum.

that's the plot of the book basically, they end up in some sort of companion contract because rath really wants everests cum (honestly, the contract is like for 15 orgasms a day, it's fucked). and then they inevitably fall in love or whatever.

it's actually quite lovely the way the two converse, and initially the smut was hot and explorative as both were discovering new things about eachother. the monsters aren't like crazy anatomically different to humans which i thought was a bit of a cop out. it was cute, everest is a really good character, the way he talks is just like a normal dude and i found myself relating to his dialogue a lot.

something that annoys me about a lot of books is that the dialogue is just so unrealistic, like nobody speaks like that, but this book did conversation really well, the reactions and interactions were just normal and nice and not overdramatic.

it just felt organic???

BUT THEN...

we get to the ending. GOD DAMN the last 20% of the book was bad. we kinda end up getting to the main plot of the story which is the culture of the monsters. there's some weird politics going on that i won't go into because i can't go into because they don't fucking explain anything. instead of actual useful plot points it's soooo blow job and sex heavy. the smut was not fun at the end. i wanted to know more about the culture and politics and not read another fkin blowjob.

it felt like they wanted some sort of drama and also to set up the following books in the universe, which also annoyed me because this is supposedly a standalone, stop trying to force readers into reading more of your books by retracting or delaying important information.

NOTHING WAS EXPLAINED, the tension between the monsters and humans was there, but i didn't know why and everest's internal monologue was asking these questions but when rath wouldn't answer him, everest just kinda accepted it and then they fucked again?

felt like a lot of cop outs, and really undermined everest's whole character.

idk man... it was definitely better than my first foray into monster smut, but i just felt like there was a definitive lack of depth to the plot and the intrigue which meant it was just reduced to pointless smut. which is fine but it was TRYING to be something more but didn’t succeed.

This is my fault and I’m owning it. I’ve had Cora Rose on DNR for years and I should have known better. I have nothing against her but I don’t mesh well with her books. There’s always the same phrases used like “how someone’s chest hurts and it must be the bacon they ate for breakfast” instead of them just admitting they have feelings for the other MC 🙄 I roll my eyes and get annoyed. It’s a me thing, I’ve accepted it. However…This concept and cover was too much for me to resist. It sounded so fun and having a co-author I like made it like catnip. And if this book had been 200 pages I think I would have loved it. But it’s fucking over 450 pages! And in the first half whatever the human’s name is (I can’t remember) has been sucked off by this monster 4787478847984 times. We get it. He needs cum to survive but like can we get some more creative scenes? Do I need to read that many? Can you summarize? Please??? Sometimes less is more and this is coming from someone who loves a good sex scene.

I can’t even imagine trying to read 45% more of this especially if it follows the same formula of the first half. I was initially reading to find out why they need cum to survive but honestly I don’t fucking care. It’s probably a need like humans need water. So whatever I’m done. 🤷🏻‍♀️

was this book silly? well, yes, that’s to be expected, i fear.
was it too much? the middle should’ve been tightened a bit, but it wasn’t too much.

i do have one little complaint: i don’t think this world is fleshed out enough. i do realize that there is an overarching plot and that we will know more in future books, but after 400+ pages, i would like to know ✨something✨ about the monsters.

Everest is human and 21. When he was 15, his parents died during a pandemic, that almost took him out to. After that, his aunt and uncle took him in, but they are hateful and xenophobic people, and he didn't have a good few years until he turned 18 and could go out on his own. Shortly after his parents' deaths, monsters +the Vyastil) from another dimension came to Earth and they have made the world better with their technology but they have also come to an arrangement with the government where men between the ages of 21 and 60 who can produce semen are required to volunteer to feed the Vyastil their cum... Because the Vyastil need it for reasons they won't talk about. Everest has always been fascinated by the Vyastil, grateful for what they have done, and intrigued to donate and learn more about them. When he turns 21, he volunteers right away.

The first Vyastil Everest feeds blows his mind, and Rathyn becomes obsessed with Everest. He tries to bully and bribe Everest into coming back as quickly as possible for another go, and then he basically runs him to a courthouse to lock him in to an exclusive companion agreement, where Everest agrees to be his. Everest is a poor guy working at a hot dog stand at the mall with no other prospects, and this sounds lucrative and fun. They kind of get off on the wrong foot because of language and cultural differences, but they quickly develop a real deep connection, and they both crave and care so much for each other. But there's paranormal political s*** at play, that complicates their relationship.

I really enjoyed this book. On the surface, it's kind of wild and smutty, the premise of alien creatures needing to feed off of cum. But it's a great emotional story. Everest is a kind, curious, accepting guy who stands up for what is right. He warms up to Rathyn so quick and he starts a nice friendship with Cielo. Rathyn is a quiet, stoic intimidating guy who is such a softie for Everest. I love how everything is so new to Rathyn and he learns about affection and relationships from Everest and he so innocently takes pleasure from the small things and just soaks in affection. This book did a good job at showing us and not just telling us that the characters care about each other, we saw it in the small things, in the way that Rathyn's ears would flutter, the grip of his tail on Everest would tighten, he wouldn't let Everest let go of his hand, he would ask him to cuddle and ask for a kiss. And Everest was sensitive and vulnerable, touch starved for even platonic touches with Rathyn. It wasn't just about getting off. I liked that Everest was funny and snarky and would impulsively blurt out things. He wasn't intimidated by the Vyastil.

This book ended in a way that is kind of happy for now, but you know they are meant for each other. There's just a lot of political stuff that's getting in their way right now and they have some work to do. I'm intrigued by the other potential couples that have been set up. Cielo is a sweetheart and Dante sounds good for him. With regards to Zane, at first I wanted Everest to boot him out of his life for being a xenophobic ass, but he started to show a little bit of promise towards the end.


Some notable moments:

"He hums, the sound almost like a growling purr, and he glances from left to right. “Your job does not seem very important or necessary.” “Uh, first of all, fuck you. I feed people. Second of all, it’s very necessary to pay my bills so I can eat and have a place to live.” “I told you I would⁠—” “No,” I say swiftly. God, I do not need some eavesdropping asshole at one of the other shops to hear this Vyastil telling me he wants to build me a goddamn shelter. Even if the idea of it makes my heart twist in my chest."

That poor driver was shook. "“When we arrive home,” Rathyn says, startling me out of my thoughts, “I would like to begin collecting on our contract. We have many orgasms to get through today.” “Oh, hell no. Fifteen orgasms in a few hours? You’re out of your mind.” The car swerves slightly, and I blush wildly. Oh my god, I should not say that out loud. It makes me seem like some kind of cum slut. Or blow job slut."

"I’m still pissed at Rathyn for disregarding my wishes and being overbearing, but by the way he’s sulking near the couch when I finally kick off my shoes and move to the kitchen for something to eat, I can’t help but feel a little sorry for him. He’s been shooting my crotch longing looks and making tiny, sad trills every time I look away. Maybe I’ll let him give me one blow job. Just one."

Oooh this is going to be a new fave series for me, I just know it! I LOVE the collabs with these authors. 😍

The premise of this book is a little over the top. I saw someone say it’s like Morning Glory Milking Farm meets Zercy, and I totally agree, but add in some great humour, a really fun cast of characters, and you get Suck!

This book follows Everest, who signs up to get “sucked” by one of the Vyastil monsters that have come through the portals and formed treaties with humans. There’s so much mystery about why the Vyastil need human…essence, but Everest is curious and keen to try. He’s paired with a slightly grumpy and presumptuous Vyastil commander called Rathyn. Once Rath gets a taste of Everest, everything changes.

This book has:
-monster x human relationship with a special bond
-fun monster anatomy and piercings
-cool monster world and culture
-great side characters
-size difference
-cool monster herbs that do special things 👀
-psychic bond
-an outspoken human and a stoic monster that learns to love
-hilarious misunderstandings and sweet connections between monsters / humans

I realllly enjoyed this book! It has a really interesting (and kind of crazy) premise, which obviously sucks you in (haha pun intended). As always, Lindsey and Rose will have you intrigued by not only the MCs, but the side characters as well. I can’t wait for book 2!

Let me just say that I’m somewhat abashed to have read this but was intrigued after reading a review. The premise: semen is the bartering tool for an alien race to fix earth’s woes, and so all virile young men must submit to getting blow jobs by aliens weekly for them to help us out. No messing around with this premise—we’re in for porn.

Yet, the beginning was pretty promising. I was kind of surprised that I was actually enjoying the plot and not just the sex. For the first 30-40%, I was into it.

What ended it for me and plunged the rest into B movie territory and manic speed reading to see if it got better was the relationship dynamic as feelings started to get involved. I didn’t buy how the characters developed, and a cross cultural much less cross species/cross planetary relationships would be a lot more complex. Color me taking this way too seriously, but it bugged me. It felt like Everest was “fixing” Rathem (sp?), who, poor alien general that he was, didn’t know what feelings or sensual pleasure was. And Everest’s “you don’t own me, I’m my own person!” schtick got a bit shrill feeling to me after a bit.

Anyway, a mixed bag. Some might enjoy if they’re in the mood for hot campiness. I won’t be reading number two tho.

I finished this one a few days ago and I’m glad we’re getting more monster romance books because I love monster romance, it's totally my thing and I really did like the Vyastil.

However, putting aside the occasional political correctness for a while, after about 60% the story kind of lost the very dramatic pull it had on me. I also feel like the relationship between Rathyn and Everest could’ve been much more developed and spicier too.

Other than that, yeah, it's a good one, do read it.

🟠 Ev is bi / the monster's sexuality isn't heavily addressed, apparently he's into men, because females are rare anyway and he's not fit to breed one? I don't know

🌶️ Some sex and it's good, Rath's virginity and dick could've been utilized a lot more; some oral (not enough for Rath), 1-2 penetrative scenes only, nothing much basically, a bit disappointing; t/b (I definitely expected them to be vers)

I did like the monsters, the politics, the mystery that’s very much present right now and the crossover with the human world. I also really liked the concept of cum being the nutritious fuel that heals and feeds the Vyastil, the alien race that made contact with humans and created a somewhat harmonious coexistence with them.

Everest is planning on joining the government program that’s basically like a military draft, except instead of going to war, you’re signing up for an alien to blow you every week until you dry up at around 60 years old at the most.

His first assigned alien is Rathyn, a military commander who tries the product directly from the source this time around and realizes Everest is something more than just a donor. But since the Vyastil bred out the part of themselves that yearns for love, recognizes soulmates, and imprints on them, he doesn’t understand what’s happening when he suddenly develops a telepathic connection with Everest and wants to be around him all the time.

This is how I imagined these guys looked based on the descriptions in the book.



Everest and Rathyn sign a contract where Everest becomes Rathyn’s companion, which is basically a legal sex servant situation. But since they’re falling in love, they’re not really following the rules where Everest is supposed to be this meek, submissive human who’s always a step behind and available for the taking. They very much feel and act like equals.

I was a little surprised by this almost middle-age mentality from such an advanced alien race that brought peace, technology, and healthcare to humans, but apparently not everything is as it seems. Their real reasons for being on Earth still haven’t come to light, they’re clearly not as peaceful as they appear and I still don’t know why cum is supposedly so beneficial to them, so we’re obviously going to learn more about that. Why humans all of a sudden, and why cum? Very important existential questions you’ll find yourself pondering about.

I also thought that since plenty of the Vyastil don’t have sex at all and don’t even use their dicks, something drastic would happen once they finally had penetrative sex, but it really didn’t. I mean, it should’ve. It was treated like a huge deal culturally, it was unimaginable to use their dicks for sex. Rathyn also didn’t top Everest as much as I expected and that was definitely a missed opportunity. Even the scenes where he did weren’t as developed as they could’ve been, which surprised me because one of these authors writes good sex, so what happened?

I would’ve liked a more intense, emotional, passionate charge between Everest and Rathyn. That first time Everest took the breeding plant and they didn’t have sex afterward was a huge miss for me. It was a great opportunity to ignite everything there was between them and it felt like the story should’ve continued pushing that passion and tension, that push-and-pull dynamic, all of it, but eventually the electricity between them kind of dulled down.

I felt like one author was completely ready to go all out, while the other kept dulling things down and fading things to almost black. For example, when Rathyn finally experiences penetrative sex with his VySytheh, you can hardly tell he climaxed and you can't tell how he felt about it. Why? Because Rathyn's POV is written just about twice in the entire book! So, so much is missing because there's this big gap where you can't really tell what he's thinking, feeling, experiencing in his world and what's going on!

The result just didn’t work that well for me because these two characters should’ve been more. More of the emotional intensity, more of the passion, more tension… just more of everything. And it should've been equally told and experienced from both POV's.

But I did still like the story though. I just don’t have high hopes for the next installment because it's already predictable. But it’s definitely going to develop the plot, so I’m still really looking forward to reading it.

I would, however, love to read about Eissa getting his second chance because I don’t think his human really died; Zane and Quilliyn (this one is going to be very good and please don’t call him xenophobic ffs); and I absolutely need that obnoxious prince Jyrion to get his human too.

I also want to see Erethar’s story unfold more. Why are they in such a predicament? They are technologically very advanced, yet very behind culturally at the same time, so I want to see them actually develop and prosper. It’s such a good setting for a lot of political intrigue and drama that it would be a shame not to go for it.

There are also so many possibilities with the Tarek when it comes to future couples, the classism is huge on Erethar apparently, so I’m really hoping this series gets a lot of good installments. The first book is definitely very promising.

there was so so much potential for more world building in this novel, it is probably the only thing that’s missing that would make this a 5 stars on its own; but everything is was *chefs kiss* was it a little silly? absolutely, but it was so engaging and funny and rath and Everest were so cute!!! And Cielo???? CIELLOOOO?????? My sweet baby alien, cielo 🧚🏽‍♀️🧚🏽‍♀️🧚🏽‍♀️

Чудовий гумор, оригінальний, незаюзаний сюжет, кумедні культурні і мовні непорозуміння.

Обожнюю, як творчо і різнобарвно передаються ємоціі і почуття монстрів- мурчання, трелі, гарчання, мугикання, зітхання, гудіння, щасливе чи ніякове смикання та тріпотіння вухами, обвивання хвостами, зміна кольору шкіри.

Але, здається, більшу частину книги мене вводили в оману) легкий, гарячий і дотепний ромком отримав нові сенси.
Гадаю, що нас чекають політичні ігри, боротьба з системою, обʼєднання союзників, розкриття таємниць (зокрема, одержимості спермою), більше історії Erethar.
Чекаю нові історії чудових хлопців та їх монстрів)

Загалом мені сподобалось. І мило, і гаряче, і весело. Проте, не знаю як Евереста, а мене забембали 15 мінетів на день😄 В якийсь момент запал пропав і трохи набридло.
Та я читатиму далі. Сьєло така булочка, цей монстрік в рожевому пальто та любов'ю до латте покорив моє серце❤️ Думаю його книга зайде мені більше. А ще ж Квілл - принц-бунтар та монстрофобний друг Евереста. Всі персонажі однозначно цікаві.

The way I’ve been desperate to read this book and i’m not even disappointed. I love the world that Cora and Lindsey created that I’m kinda gnawing at the teeth for me ( I want Zane’s book so bad+ Eissa too😭). This was surprisingly sweet which shouldn’t be weird since it’s Cora and EM who writes the sweetest low angst stories. I think I expected a bit more and once I heard suckling, my mind went places (so many potential). As always, I love a a monster peen and I wanted more. I liked how deviant Everest was especially with everything that happened in his life. I do see how the author set up for future works since we were left with a lot of unanswered questions but I can’t wait for what’s next🙂‍↕️

And why do I think there'll be another one with Everest's grumpy, xenophobic BFF Zane, and Quilliyn the cool gym owner?

I loved this book! Ev is so outgoing and outspoken, and Rath is your military commander (slightly uptight and controlling).

The authors painted an amazing picture of this world, and there's so many possibilities for future couples.

Top tier. Um, excuse me, but this book has no right being so good. I want to shout it from the rooftops, but I don’t think that would be socially acceptable.

This has everything! A little sci-fi, fantasy, erotica, comedy, social commentary and mystery. My favorite monster book is Soul Eater, but I would say that this is right up there. It’s lighter and more humorous, but still addressing tough subjects. Also really good spice! I can’t count the amount of times I was laughing out loud.

It took 24 days for me to on and off read this book passively without passion and finally it’s over. I wasn’t expecting poetry or some mind-blowing plot twist when I picked up a book called Suck. 😂 I knew exactly what I was signing up for, and honestly? The premise was fun enough.

The whole “monster needs cum to survive” thing was entertaining initially

The problem was that somewhere along the way it stopped being fun.

Rathyn was okay. I actually liked him in the beginning because he came across as cold and mysterious . Then somewhere along the line he turned into the softest cinnamon roll alive. Cute? Sure. But I kept waiting for a little edge to come back, and it never did.

Then there’s Everest.

My God.

This man tested my patience

He was so unbelievably childish that I just couldn’t connect with him. Every other sentence was “fuck you.” Seriously, At one point he storms off to buy a dick cage because he’s throwing a tantrum… and then basically gives up on the idea five minutes later. Then he starts popping random monster leaves into his mouth because apparently survival instincts are optional.

Instead of making me laugh, he just irritated me.

And then, just when I thought I knew what kind of book I was reading, the last 30% suddenly remembered it needed a plot.

Monster politics.

Monster class systems.

Their home world.

It honestly felt like the authors opened a folder labeled “Ideas for Books 2–5” and dumped the whole thing into the last quarter of this one. I get that it’s setting up the series, but it was such an info dump that I genuinely stopped caring.

This book actually sat at 70% for weeks because I had completely lost the motivation to pick it back up. The only reason I finished it was because I kept thinking, Come on, you’ve got 30% left. Just get it over with.

I did.

And now I know that I really could do without this book

The steam wasn’t particularly steamy for me. The romance didn’t make me swoon. The characters definitely didn’t do it for me. It wasn’t terrible… it was just Meh…

The premise of this series is just incredible, I had an absolute blast describing it to my friends and family over and over again (much to their horror). Also, this cover is SO SO BEAUTIFUL.

I’ve seen it compared to some of these, but I described it to my sister as ‘Morning Glory Milking Farm’ meets ‘Zercy’ and I stand by that. If you liked either of those, you’re going to like this book. Who am I kidding? If you like smutty monster romance at all then this is for you. This series is 100% going straight into the monster romance hall of fame.

I got a bit frustrated at a few things happening around the 70% mark which kept me from rating this five stars, but I still absolutely loved it. I can’t even express how excited I am for the rest of the series. I was over the moon to discover that we can expect the next one later this year. Thank you so much Cora Rose and EM Lindsey for this absolute treat of a book.

I read the novella as soon as it came out and really loved it, so I honestly have no idea why I waited so long to pick up the full novel… Especially since it turned out to be ten times better!

From the very beginning, I completely fell in love with Everest. He’s the kind of character who’s going to stay with me for a very long time. He has so many layers and is very well written. He made me laugh just as often as he touched my heart.

I struggled a little more with Rathyn at first because he was so serious and difficult to read, but the further I got into the book, the more I started to see beneath the surface. By the end, I’d grown really fond of him.

One of my favorite things was how Everest never stopped being unapologetically himself. He wasn’t intimidated by Rath for a second and had no problem putting him in his place whenever it was needed. Watching the commander of the armies of Erethar constantly ending up on his knees before Everest—both metaphorically and literally—was absolutely delicious! 😆

And of course, I loved seeing how simply by being his genuine, kind, and wonderfully human self, Everest helped Rath become a better version of himself. Their relationship felt so natural and rewarding to watch unfold.

Another character I instantly adored was Cielo. He is so incredibly precious, and what happened to him broke my heart and made me so angry. I cannot wait to read his story because he deserves his happily ever after more than anyone. 🥺

I do have to admit that when I reached the end, I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get more answers to some of the bigger questions surrounding the overall plot. At the same time, I understand that it’s probably intentional, allowing the mysteries to unfold gradually throughout the series.

And can we talk about how unique this concept is? The reason the monsters come (or cum 🤪) to Earth is unlike anything I’ve read before, and I was very curious to see where the authors would take it… I’m very happy to report that the curiosity definitely didn’t kill the cat this time because wow… It was everything I hoped it would be, and then some! 🤭 I already can’t wait to continue this series.

I’m all for brats, and Everest fit the bill. He was all attitude, and did have some muscles to back it up, just not against a Vyastil. The world was interesting, with a mandatory conscription to submit to blowies and the massive amounts of secrecy. The Vyastil were a very private people, and very stoic. Rathyn was no different, with his buckets of arrogance, but he did genuinely care for and like Everest, even if he showed it in not awesome ways. Super looking forward to the next book!

Gayet keyifli ve hızlı okunan bir monster rom. Yazar dünya oluşturmayı ve karakterleri güzel yazmış. Bu tarz seviyorsanız öneririm. Karakterlerin birbirinden tamamen farklı olması ve bu farklılıkları öğrenmek her zaman bu tarz kitaplarda hoşuma giden kısım oluyor. Bu kitapta da bu güzel yazılmıştı. Bolca smut beklediğim bir şeydi ama sona doğru duygusallaştırması beklenmedik oldu. 2. kitabın ana karakterini burda biraz okuyoruz ve ona şimdiden bayıldım. Tam bir cinnamon roll ve onu okumak için sabırsızlanıyorum.
