At forty-two, Sloane Sinclaire knows what it means to rebuild.
Newly divorced, and co-parenting her son, and the owner of one of the city’s most sought-after design galleries, she’s determined to build a life that’s hers—on her terms. No more compromising. No more shrinking. Love isn’t on her blueprint. Not anymore.
Then Christian Davenport strolls into her showroom—a gorgeous, communicative builder with an easy smile and a way of making her forget she’s sworn off men. He wants a future. A family. And he wants Sloane.
Sloane’s not sure she can give him that. Not yet. Maybe not ever.
As their chemistry deepens and old fears resurface, Sloane has to ask herself what it means to move on. Is it finding love again—or finally learning to stand on her own?
This book contains sexually explicit scenes, adult themes, and situations that may not be suitable for all readers.
This story truly caught me by surprise in the best way ✨ Without giving anything away, I’ll just say I absolutely loved how Chris and Sloane met and fell in love with a clear understanding of who they were and what they wanted out of life 💕 Their connection felt intentional, grounded, and refreshingly mature.
I also appreciated how the story allowed space for self-discovery 🤍 Wanting to explore, question, and understand your own desires is such a real and honest part of life. In the end, it felt right, even if it wasn’t easy. Some people come into your life for a reason, others for a season 🌱, and both leave an impact that helps shape who you become.
Overall, this was a thoughtful and enjoyable read, and I’m really glad I experienced it 😊📖
