Harper White is an overachiever. She’s never met a problem she couldn’t solve. She doesn’t fail.
So, when she’s fired from her job and flees home to hide from the world, she isn’t interested in anything but wallowing with a good book in her childhood bed.
She absolutely has no plans to share a drunken kiss with a completely inappropriate man at her cousin’s birthday party.
She’s definitely not interested in starting any kind of relationship with him, considering everyone thinks he belongs with someone else.
Sebastian Banks doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. After years of knowing Harper, he suddenly can’t look at her without remembering that kiss.
The chemistry between them is like nothing he’s ever experienced before.
He just has to find a way to convince Harper that taking a chance to see where things go is worth the inevitable drama that ensues.
Neither of them realizes is that a sense of failure isn’t the only thing that followed Harper home from her last job. There are forces at work that are bigger than they know.
If they don’t unravel the threads tying Harper to the danger that follows her, their chance of a happily ever after will end before it can even begin.
Nicole Jacquelyn started writing before she started elementary school, however she didn’t start publishing her stories until her senior year in college. Today, she’s the author of the best selling Aces Series, Hawthornes Series, Fostering Love Series and Bouchers Series. She loves to read, drinks too much coffee, and lives in Oregon with the coolest children in the entire world and an English Bulldog named Blue.
Loved being back in this world, one I will never tire of. Really liked both characters, straight talkers with no ridiculous miscommunication. But now I really need to know what's going on with Lou 👀
I loved hearing from the people. Casper and Farrah. Lily and Leo. Rose. The Hawthorne’s. So awesome! Loved the dynamics between Harper and Bas! So good!
WHAT...WHAT...Yeah, I did NOT see that coming. Bas and Harper?! Yeah—consider me fully, completely, happily wrecked. I was 100% convinced we were heading toward a Bas and Lou situation, so yes, I was waiting for it…but am I mad about Bas and Harper? Absolutely NOT. Not even a little. I was just as obsessed with them as I am with every single character in this wild, chaotic, ride-or-die family Nicole Jacquelyn has created.
Honestly, I don’t even know what else to say except that I live for these books. Nicole Jacquelyn is a genius, and I will always, without hesitation, pick up anything she writes.
Bas was such a surprise. I knew he’d be hard—he has that signature Aces toughness, that sexy, unbreakable exterior—but those quiet moments? The subtle vulnerability in the dead of night, the cracks that show in a childhood bedroom? Yeah. That got me. I’ll take a man like that every single time.
And then there’s Harper—the perfect anchor for Bas. People might disagree, but I don’t buy the 'quiet girl standing on the outside' label she gives herself. She’s loud where it matters. She knows what she wants, she goes after it, and she delivers. She’s tough, she’s fierce, and she definitely doesn’t fall far from the tree—there’s a little gramma Farrah in her, and I loved every second of it.
I’m addicted to these characters, people. I’m in love with this world. And I am completely obsessed with Ms. Jacquelyn.
This book deserves 5 stars ! 10 stars ! I would give this wonderful book as many stars as possible. I've loved this series since reading the first book, Craving Constellations. Nicole Jacqueline never disappoints this reader and always leaves me wanting the next book right away. Her storytelling is excellent and these characters are simply wonderful. This may sound weird but I always leave these characters with a warm heart. As always, I loved the book, the characters, and the drama. I can't wait to get the next one in the Aces and Eights MC . 5 flying stars !!!
Every single one of Nicole books becomes so addictive, I cannot stop reading. I don't care how many more books will come in the Aces and eights universe, I will read every single one of them because I love the world, the characters and the way Nicole has to build their stories.
I really enjoyed being back with this series. Harper and Bass’ romance came about with ease. As always, there’s some underlining drama that adds a layer of suspense but doesn’t over shadow the good times.
Ends with a happy for now vibe, that left me.with a craving for more!
So I love the Aces and all their wonderful stories this author weaves. Craving Harper is fabulous! If you’re into love, family and devotion, this book is for you.
I feel that every book in the stories is getting better and better. I loved Seb and Harper. I did not expect to connect with their relationship but I found the book great. Also Leo is my favourite and I got to read him again.
The first generation books were complete different and I love that the author does not repeat stories. All the books are unique and I absolutely love the ACES world.
