Leighton Adams didn’t come to Cabot University just for the classes. The small-town Alabama campus is still haunted by the disappearance of two sorority sisters—and she’s looking for answers.
To find them, she rushes Alpha Omega, the same sorority the girls belonged to. But behind the glamorous parties and social events, something is off.
The deeper she goes, the clearer it becomes—someone knows more than they’re saying.
And it seems like they’ll do anything to keep the past buried.
4.5/5 -cutesy lil mix of a good girls guide to murder x pretty little liars x college greek life!! 🤭🤭 -a whole 5 stars just for the fact that they called the police 😩😩 never happens in crime books, finally!!
First off, I picked this up after seeing a TikTok video about it & because I liked the cover. Also, I went to college in AL & of course I had to read to see all the references!
I read this all in one day because I was intrigued enough to figure out how the mystery ends (no spoilers from me though), which is the major hallmark for me of a good thriller if you can’t put it down.
I did notice a few grammar & spelling errors, but more in the first part of the book than the second. Also, a little nitpicky, but I feel like a lot of scenes/chapters ended with our POV character(s) falling asleep. Neither of these took me out of the story, but I did notice them.
Congrats to the author for publishing her debut novel!! I would read more from her in the future 🎉
I found this book from a Tik Tok that Phynley made and I felt instantly connected as someone who just graduated with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. The book had great detail, was easy to follow along, and had a great twist at the end! Great job!!
as a former sorority girl and mystery enjoyer, i wanted to like this so bad. listen, there's a good thriller hidden in here somewhere (some of the reveals actually got me), but the great ideas and plotlines get lost among the rambling, unedited syntax. like diva....how did we let sentences like "my eyes soon catch a glimpse of the number 433 out of the corner of my eye" stay in this manuscript... bffr
I read this in a day 🥵 thank god TikTok didn’t lead me astray with this one. I’ve read a lot of thrillers so it takes quite a bit to impress me these days. This was fun! The story wrapped up with a perfect pink (& slightly bloody) bow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I can’t wait to see more from Phynley
Pretty Little Liars meets Gossip Girl in this unputdownable mystery! 🏛️🔍
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just finished Greek Row by Finley Myers, and I am officially obsessed! If you are a fan of the dark, elite drama of Gossip Girl, the "who-can-you-trust" tension of Pretty Little Liars, and the campy, high-stakes suspense of Scream Queens, this indie gem is a mandatory addition to your TBR. The story follows a determined criminology major who transfers to a prestigious university with a dark past: two girls vanished from the Greek system exactly one year ago. To secure her spot in the competitive program, she decides the only way in is to solve the disappearance herself. She goes full "undercover" moving into the missing girls' old dorm and joining their sorority only to find herself much deeper in the mystery than she ever imagined. What I loved: • The Atmosphere: The "dark academia" vibes are immaculate. It perfectly captures that prestigious, slightly suffocating college environment where everyone has a secret. • The Pacing: I absolutely devoured this from start to finish; the momentum never lets up. • The Twists: I thought I had the ending figured out at least three different times, and I was wrong every single time! The plotting is incredibly tight and kept me guessing until the very last page. Finley Myers is a brilliant new voice in the indie suspense world. She is already working on a second book, and there is even a Christmas novella available to help with the "book hangover" after you finish this one. If you love a mystery that keeps you on your toes and features a smart, driven FMC, go grab Greek Row immediately.
Rounded up, this was pretty good 🤷♀️🤷♀️ As a college student, it was fun reading something relatable-ish to my age group. Everything tied together at the end in a less rushed-more realistic way than most other thrillers I read. Excited for more from this new author!
this book was amazing i loved it! i didn’t figure out who it was till closer to the end, and after that i was shocked once again. everyone should read this book if you like mysteries!!
"Greek Row" by Phynley Meyers follows the lives of college students navigating the intense and secretive world of Greek life. The story involves friendships, rivalries, and overall personal growth as characters continue to receive pressure from their fraternities and sororities. As the story becomes deeper, readers can see how this loyalty to Greek life can damage relationships more than strengthening them. Without giving to much away, the story builds a vast amount of tension through conflicts not only within the Greek life system, but moreso the characters' internal struggles. One of my favorite quotes that encapsulates the aspect of the entire book is, "We weren’t just joining a house—we were choosing who we wanted to become" (Meyers 42). One of my favorite parts of this book is how real and believeable every character is, especially through their development. The dialogue is engaging and feels realistic, which helps the book be more enjoyable. As a person whose sister was in a toxic sorority, from what she told me, the Greek life aspect was insanely accurate. She even told me she wanted to read it to fact-check that. Another cool thing is that the author did not necessarily pick a side--she stayed neutral and shared both positives and negatives of Greek life. My only complaint is that the pacing felt sort of uneven, where some sections were quick and others dragged on. Another impactful quote that captures the tone of the story well is, “Secrets don’t stay buried on Greek Row—they grow louder in the silence” (Meyers 118). Finally, I believe that this book would be very interesting and a great recommendation for people who enjoy realisitic fiction, especially those who may be interested in Greek life and/or college overall. Although this book is not perfect, I very much enjoyed it as much as I thought I would when it popped up on my for you page on TikTok. The strong characters, interesting dynamics, and engaging themes make the book absolutely worth reading. Furthermore, I think that this book is 100% worth picking up for people who enjoy stories about personal development and identity exploration.
No because the plot twist was INSANE. I saw this on tik tok and thought it was gonna be a cute read something easy and quick. I felt bored in the beginning and felt like it dragged on for a few chapters but once I hit 75% on my kindle I had to finish it. my jaw dropped at least 4 times. Absolutely incredible. I do wish the ending was longer and the chapters weren’t just recaps, I would have loved to read the events in real time. 4 stars simply for the twist at the end.
i’m not sure how realistic it was for Riley to be alive and how no one at the hospital recognized her face when she went missing. And I absolutely needed more context on Gracie’s end.
the last half of the book was too good that it made up for the slow first half, but I understand it was necessary to include those key details. SO. GOOD.
Also knowing this is a debut novel is crazy! So much intricate detail and attention went into this book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author 💓

2.5 ⭐ Ok for starters, for a thriller/murder book it only got good at around 70/80 percent which is saying something in itself, it didn't keep me curious or on the edge of my seat to figure out what happened. I can't say the plot line was horrible cause I wasn't expecting it but after reading for so long so lowkey was expecting more.
Also the storyline is more party's, alcohol and getting drunk than there is an actual plot line. It got annoying really fast, I get that it's a sorority type book but damn life doesn't revolve around parties and alcohol.
Another thing, no hate to the author but she loves to end like almost all chapters in similar ways. E.g. something is said about how Leighton wants to figure out something fast but it's not possible right now so she says next week it is then. It's almost always something along those lines and that also got annoying fast, once or twice is fine but more just gets really repetitive and gives off school essay type vibes and does not help peak interest or gets me curious.
Lastly, there's a plot hole because wdym Leighton almost gets run off road by another car and we don't know who? Like you can't have a conversation with Alison asking if she ran her off and Alison is acting confused and then we don't find out about who actually tried to kill her like broski.
Low-key just wasn't a fan, usually I read thriller/murder/crime books fast, this took me about 2 weeks and it was slow as fuck, so kinda felt that I wasted my time.

omg this was so good!!! i originally picked this up because it literally reminded me of myself, with me being a recent college graduate, majoring in criminal justice and also a recent sorority alumna! this was me and cas’s book club pick for this month and i was so excited when she revealed this as her march pick! i was on the edge of my seat the whole time and i was giggling too because some of the main character’s sorority experience and her experience with fraternities is so similar to mine.
even though i surprisingly guessed the twist at the end, i was still shocked because i definitely did not suspect the person who actually did it until like a few chapters before the reveal. i wish people wrote more books about sororities and this debut author did a great job!!
drinking party more drinking more party. That is the only environment thos book has. You're in college! can't something cool happen during a lesson or the library or omg the fucking bathroom?! investigation is weak af and slow. everything happens in the last 20% of the book. and everything js really not a lot.
put me in a reading slump and yk what. it is disrespectful to say it's JuSt like AGGGTM. no it is not
Really enjoyed this book! It’s not what I usually go for, it’s a little bit “lighter” I really enjoyed the American uni feel, the sorority girl and everything that goes along with that. I’m a sucker for a dual timeline so that was really fun and the final two twists I just didn’t see coming!! I was really hoping that Nathan wouldn’t have anything to do with it so was so pleased when that was the case! Highly recommend as a really fun summer mystery
Even though I didn’t have nearly close to a college experience as this book is set in it made me feel like I was back living down the hall from all my friends and also taking trips up to umass :(( It felt different than other thrillers I’ve read and I think it’s because the author is young so I felt like I was actually in the story or even reading something my friend wrote which I ATE up
found this book through tiktok and i had so much fun reading it. the whole concept of the book was very interesting and fun. i guessed a few of the plot twist but the last one was not what i expected at all!! definitely a fun, fast paced mystery thriller!!
4 ⭐️ This was really fun, with plenty of drama to keep me turning the pages, and I liked the overall vibe and characters. While a few moments did feel a bit contrived or slightly cringey, they didn’t take away from how entertaining the book was as a whole.
Saw this book being advertised on tik tok and took the chance on author and book I never heard of and I have to say quite surprised how great of a suspense thriller this was. Enjoyed the book and it keeps you thinking of who done it. Glad I chose to read
What an incredible first book by Phynley!! Excited to keep reading more books to come. If you’re reading this Phynley, you should be so proud of yourself. You came across my TikTok FYP yesterday and I finished the book today. You’re incredible!! Excited to read your new book this month 💓
Greek row had such an amazing concept and it shows the answer can be in front of you at all times. It had me making multiple theories, and I even thought Riley’s sister was Marley at some point. It was such a good book.

rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DNF’ed at 35%. I will say that this book is definitely interesting. As someone in college myself I’m living through the characters. Currently, I’m not in the right place mentally to finish at the moment but I will be coming back.
Such a good quick read! The characters are easy to get invested in, and it being set in a small-town college made it easier to get immersed in the story. I really enjoyed (even though I did predict the twist correctly 😏)!
