Deliberate Theft (Chosen #2B)

Rate this book
PART 2: Shifter/Vampire Serial
Stolen by the Alpha Wolf is a follow on to Chosen by the Vampire Kings. It is strongly recommended that you read this 6 part serial first.

Ever since Stephany's return from the wolf’s clutches, she’s felt like her veins were on fire. What the hell did he do to her? What poison? What form of potent witchcraft was this?
If only the explanation were so simple, then she could take an antidote. Find a cure somewhere, somehow. What she can't do is erase her memories of Ward or her burning need for him.
What she doesn’t know is that things are about to become infinitely more difficult for her…so bad she’ll be forced to call the alpha to her side with dire consequences.

Deliberate Theft is Part 2 of a 3 part serial and is approximately 23,000 words/94 pages. Make sure you read Chosen by the Vampire Kings first for the most enjoyment.
The Story Contains strong sexual themes/language and is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

"Stolen" Part two. Stephany is trying to adjust to being home, but she is missing her wolf, Ward. Lance starts to be a problem, harassing her. For twenty years he hasn't wanted her, sleeping around, but now he changed his mind!? Stephany talks to Queen Tanya and tells her what happened. With her symptoms, Tanya realizes Steph is pregnant! She's supposed to be infertile and unable to birth a child. What will she do?
In these cases, where the mother and infant are in risk of death, an abortion is expected. She doesn't want that. Kings Brant and Zane tell her she should tell the father, he has rights. Before she can do that, Ward has breached the castle and is in her room. He's thrilled about his "pup", but she is terrified of dying and losing the baby, too. Ward says all will be fine. After super hot noisy sex, Lance bursts in and attacks Ward, stabbing him with a silver knife. Ward is injured, and captured. Queen Tanya helps them escape and Ward takes her home with him.
Can't wait for more of these wonderful, deep characters that come to life on each page.
Interesting dynamics, erotic sex scenes, and a terrific plot will keep you enthralled.
E N J O Y !!

Heartbroken

Now, I know that books have to take this path. But I feel extremely broken for Stephany. I'm so angry that Ward is being stubborn, even though Tanya said right in front of him that Lance meant nothing to her! I'm dying here and I need to sleep, but I can't until I finish this! Ugh!

Wow, I didn't think Taken by the Alpha Wolf could surpass Taken by the Vampire Kings, but it does!

This installment has got it all; longing for a mortal enemy; a slighted and vengeful mate; a feeling of betrayal; danger, and a shocking discovery that could very well put Stephany's life on the line. The solution is heartbreaking.

As royal tempers flare, Stephany can only rely on herself and her human gal pal and queen.

Ward and Stephany are in quite a predicament, and Ward's choice could also endanger his pack... loved every moment of this story, except the cliffhanger!

Great to revisit the royal trio as well. The human sex toys scene with the puzzled vamps, was oddly adorable:-) Not to mention the update on Xavier and his elf princess.

Can't wait for the final part of the story!
... And hopefully more spin-off series. (Xavier's elf princess infatuation & Ross's human rutting petition.)

FREAKING FANGGG-TASTIC !!!

Deliberate Theft is Book Two in the amazing new Stolen by the Alpha Wolf Serial by Charlene Hartnady and it is AWESOME! I love it! Hartnady has dazzled her readers yet again with her amazing talent, astounding imagination and incredible skill, and given her readers another delicious masterpiece of paranormal fantasy and romance. Be still my heart! The story is exciting, powerful, original, compelling, thrilling, riveting, funny, romantic, arousing, sensual, steamy and sexy. The dialog is smart, witty, funny, well written and flows beautifully. The characters are fascinating, captivating, enticing, sexy as sin and sometimes, down right hilarious. They jump right off the page, capture your heart, grab your imagination and tickle your funny bone! The wolves have launched an attack against the vampire kings, unsuccessfully trying to capture their human queen. Instead, female vampire Stephanie is captured but what in claws name is Ward, the wolf Alpha, supposed to do with a female bloodsucker? They are a different species and mortal enemies. He certainly can't allow her to learn their location or their secrets! But the female vampire, Stephanie is so beautiful and so enticing with gorgeous blonde hair, beguiling blue eyes and incredible long legs. Nope, he can't go there! Can't think about how sexy and beautiful she is! So not going to happen! Or is it? He just has to protect her from his pack until he can get her safely back to her coven. But Ward quickly discovers that his body didn't get that memo! Sparks fly! Attraction builds! Blood burns! Desires ignite! Great balls of fire! So hot! So dreamy! Sigh....... But sadly for the lovers, their time together must come to an end and Stephanie must return to her coven and her Kings. Upon her return, Stephanie learns that Lance, her accidental mate, survived the attack and now he wants her back. After twenty years of him rutting every other female vampire but her? What the heck? Never going to happen! But Stephanie can't stop thinking about the sexy Alpha wolf, Ward. Her heart aches and her body burns for his touch. What witchcraft is this? What kind of magical spell has he cast upon her body? What strange malady has the sexy wolf inflicted upon her? Stephanie fears she may be ill. She's never experienced anything like this and seeks council from Tanya, her friend and mate to her Kings. Will Tanya be able to help her? And what could be wrong with Stephanie? I was turning the pages so fast that my IPad couldn't keep up! Handsome hunky alpha wolf-check! Beautiful female vampire-check! Action, danger, suspense and humor-check! Romance and steamy sex-check and check! OMG! I laughed! I cried! Absolute perfection! I can hardly wait for Part Three! Fantastic read and marvelous entertainment! And for more great reading, read Hartnady's prequel series, Chosen by the Vampire Kings.

Stolen by the Alpha Wolf series by Charlene Hartnady is a great spinoff from the Vampire Kings series. Stephanie who is one of my favorite characters finds herself with the Alpha werewolf Ward. Ward is so HOT and usually I don’t even like werewolves, but thanks to Charlene – I love me some Ward.

In Part Two, Stephany (a vampire) is struggle with her attraction for the enemy Ward (a werewolf). For years my girl Stephany’s libido was dormant and now Ward with his hot sexy self has used his wolf powers (LOL) and just turned my girl out (lol). I am glad Stephany and Ward got it on, because the steam coming of the pages was just too much for my heart. I had to start reading this e-book at home instead of at work ;0). I also want to point out that the Vampire Kings series does introduce Ward’s rival Lance for Stephany’s love and affection. Stolen by the Alpha Wolf introduces more of the rival (a very hot sexy vampire) character. Lance is Stephany’s long time estranged mate (SAY WHAT). I can't wait to see how long it takes Ward to come to his senses and go after his mate.

This series is juicy. I love the twist between characters. This is all the spoilers for this book. I really recommend you start reading this series and the Vampire Kings series. Seriously If you need to read the Vampire Kings first. Or you will be lost. You will NOT be disappointed in my opinion and will be recommending this series to all your friends, while you are at it, just go ahead and buy all her books, save the time of going back online to find a new read (LOL).

Deliberate Theft (Chosen #2B)(Stolen by the Alpha Wolf, #2) I am ADDICTED to this series; I can get enough of this paranormal romantic goodness. With alpha males in all shapes and sizes with Ménage à trois, MFM love triangles (eat your heart out), Vampires, Shifters, and Elves. It is Sexy, it is Sizzling, it is smoking Hot, it is Erotic so much so that it jumps right off the pages and leaves you needing a cold shower.
Sassy, headstrong females, and fighting to the death is not uncommon. So, what happens when smoking hot vampires and shifters, mortal enemies want the same thing; this is where things get so interesting, and the fun begins. These men are ruthless, they are vicious, power players, they are violent. There is lots of action, danger and war around every corner but given all that they love fast, they love with their whole heart and make you want to go and find your own.
Charlene has woven a captivating, tangled web of lies, deceit, suspense, drama and love that will leave you breathless. The characters are to die for, and each have their own voice in this series. I love that we get their POV because it makes them more real.
It is not all doom and gloom though there are plenty of witty moments and humour that will have you laughing out loud especially Zane and Becky, they crack me up.
Don’t even stop to think just click and read and tell me I am not wrong. Happy reading!

I've been following this story line from Charlene since Stolen by the Vampire Kings. I love that series and am so happy that Stolen by the Alpha Wolf is about a favorite character from the Vampire Kings. A big plus is it also has the characters as well. To get the whole picture and enjoy the great writing of Charlene, it's best to read Vampire Kings and then start with Stolen by the Alpha Wolf. Believe me, you'll love it.
This second book has Stephany realizing how much she is missing Ward and the impact the time they spent together in book 1 had on her. Yes, unfortunately she is mated to a vampire already that presents some problems for her since she developed strong feelings for the alpha wolf, Ward. Even though Stephany was mated, she was celibate for many many many years until Ward woke up her sexuality. He's one hunk of a wolf. Vampires and wolves don't mix. Ward asked her to stay with him before returning her to her coven but Stephany being like she is, upholding rules and traditions couldn't accept his offer. But she longs for Ward. I know the readers will root for them too. They belong together.
Stephany carries a secret that could prove deadly for her. Book 2 is an exciting read. It's a can't put down till you finish. Charlene never disappoints. It'll be hard to wait for Book 3 but I know that it'll be as good or even better than 1 and 2. Can't wait!

***I RECEIVED THIS ARC IN EXCHANGE OF AN HONEST REVIEW***

This second installment of what is to be a three part serial was PURE AWESOMENESS and here's why:

*Genuine believable conversation that flows naturally. I can't stress
important this is to storytelling, having read several books recently
that lacked this very basic element. Dialogue has to make sense & be
timely within the narrative. Rant over.

*Not at all formulaic. This series keeps me guessing and I have no idea what to expect next. Again, having read hundreds from this genre this is always a good thing, and a nice surprise when I get it. Did not see Lance's affinity for douchebaggery coming, totally thought he and
Stephany would at least be friends. I won't lose any sleep over it
though.

*This serial and its predecessor read like a soap opera you never
want to miss a second of action or dialogue of in any episode. I've only read one or two serials, not my first choice when searching for new
stuff to read, but this one has me totally hooked.

*Love the erotica and dirty talk elements.

The only drawback that I can immediately think of is that there is not enough time spent in Ward's POV. My favorite aspect of most PNR stuff is the male POV where I get to read his desires and ALPHA bad boy tendencies. Can't wait for the next installment!

This delightful story about Stephany and Ward's attraction toward each other and deeper developing relationship was heartwarming with enough anxiety, threat, and menace to hold my interest to the very last page. I thoroughly enjoyed how old familiar characters from Book One continued to play a part in the lives of the spotlighted characters in this book. I am so looking forward to acquainting myself with more of the populous from the covens, dens, and elven villages around Sweetwater. The lives of these dynamic characters intertwine to create a very entertaining tale. More! More! More!

To Damn exciting and emotional in a good way

what an emotional ride in the second book. Stephany is home and something has happened to her, with Tanya by her side they soon figure out that against all odds she is pregnant. All Stephany can think of is Ward, the wolf that stole hear heart, and she knows she cannot have th r baby. She tells her kings ,with tanyas help, and they both agree with her that she can not have the baby, there is to much risk for her and the baby because she is vampire and has to narrow of hips and can only be cut open with silver to have a C section and that can kill the child and her immediately. Ward ends up at the castle after hearing Stephany tried to call him a few times, steph and ward are rejoined in her bed and ward says he has a way for her to have the baby and ask for her to trust him. She agrees and was about to tell him she is mated with another by accident when of course all help breaks loose ands Lance bust in on the two. Lance hurts ward and the kings have him thrown in a dungeon and tell steph to go get about ward. Ward is hurt and heart broken footsteps is mated with another but he still doesn't know the whole truth. Anyways, Tanya comes up with a plan and has Ward take steph out of the castle and back to his territory to try and save the baby, he is distant from steph but he will take care of her and the baby. Can't wait for th r next one to see how they are going to save the baby and steph, also I believe when steph has a heart to heart with the big Alpha he will have to see Stephens side and hopefully there will be a way for them to be mated. Great story still loving it

This book left me reeling... After having read the first one of this series and all of the Kings books... (Which did kinda spoil a certain part of this series for me. But I kept reading on anyhow.)
I gotta say a few things...
Lance is a big-fat-jerk.... I felt sorry for him in the Kings series and in this one... I HATED him... I felt zero remorse and wished he would be dead... I was wanting to jump into the book multiple times because of him...
Now... On to Zane (a king) and Brant (the other vamp king) I wanted to throttle them both in this book. I fell in love with them in their books but would have never read about them if I hadn't read them first. I really disliked them in these books. They were arrogant jerks to Stephany and Ward... I understand why... but their prejudice and God complexes had me wanting to take silver to them... They made me that angry...

However... As always this book was superbly written. This author is just... WOW... like crazy WOW... her talent has no bounds... The writing is so enthralling from page one... Not overly detailed but not under detailed either... Spectacular!

Ward in this book I fell more in love with. He's just amazing. I mean, truly amazing. This author can write Alpha males to perfection that leaves you falling head over heels.
Stephany as always is a very likable character and I love that she has a pretty sturdy backbone.

Another 5 star masterpiece.

This book takes place after Stephany is dropped back home but 6 weeks later. Where we leave off book 1.6 of the vampire kings I believe. In this book we learn that Stephany is but that it's not physically possible. Sad and scared and ultimately alone she reaches out to Ward.

This part pissed me off. Ward comes in the middle of the night and breaches the castle and into Stephany's room. She's feeling guilty not telling him about Lance but still sleeps with him. Until so that pissed me off. Tanya though goes and helps her friend and rescues Ward. The book ends with them leaving and Ward being cold to Stephany.

I loved part 2! The plot thickens! I didnt see that coming Stephany pregnant? Wow....thats so awesome. Brant? What the hell? How could he be so cold to give her an ultimatum? I mean I know Ward needed permission but hello he's the father of the baby and his mate was asking permission anyways. Just dont understand why he was being like that. Zane seemed more open but not sure. He sure kicked Lance's ass. Lance turned a little psycho...even considered hurting Stephany? Seriously? What kind of mate does that? He didnt give a damn about her for years and now he does? WTF! Ha...Tanya is so freaking awesome...I do have a feeling she's gonna be punished in some way. Not sure if thats gonna be good or bad, but she will stand her ground on her idiotic mates. Its still obvious that they dont have mating down quite yet. Can't wait til book 3.

Review Charlene Hartnady "Stolen by the alpha wolf #2"

Ohhh I don't know if I can write this review without spoilers!!
But I'm gonna really try!
Well Stephany arrived back at her coven again, being sad and missing her alpha wolf Ward deeply "...her alpha. No, dammit…not hers." after two months of keeping it a secret, she starts to notice changes in her self and decides to tell Tanya ( the queen of vampires "chosen by the vampire kings") and for not telling any spoilers I must stop here! But oh god, I just love Stephanys story! And I'm sooo exited to read the next installment of her very thrilling story!

And again wow! Charlene you rock!

Hard times and choices

Stephanie future looks very bleak in the second part of this short trilogy. Ward is determined to keep her safe at all cost plus try and show her that she could have a family. He feels betrayed by her when he finds out there is a mate in her life from twenty years ago, but Stephany doesn't get a chance to explain what a big mistake that was. Quick and easy to read. I got this as part of Kindle Unlimited

Wow Stephany is pregnant! That's crazy! I truly hope Ward doesn't lose all of his feelings and emotions for Stephany. It's tough to tell a deep sound secret when you're being interrupted by a sword in the chest. I have my fingers crossed the baby and Stephany makes it! Looking forward to the next book!

Super fantastic

I can't get enough of this family of vampires and now wolves. Stephany and Wards story is getting close. Stephany still loves him but now has a problem to face and needs Ward back. Lance needs to go jump in a lake somewhere and leave Stephany alone but he keeps watching her. Keep reading cause book 3 is going to be the best.

Interesting shifter story

This volume took a bit longer to get going, but I still found it interesting. It's not the best shifter or vampire romance I've read, some cliche writing and dialogue. However, I enjoy the characters and find the twists keep me entertained.
