No False Witness by T E Scott is book 11 in the Wronged Women’s Co-operative. This is a wonderful cozy mystery series. The 3 women who make up the Co-operative, are just such great characters. There is Bernie, Liz and Mary. Bernie can be a bit of a tyrant but fights injustice, Liz is a numbers expert and Mary gets people onside easily. She has 4 children and is in a relationship with DS Owen Walker so they usually end up as consultants to the police. They have a couple of cases. One is when a body is found at Pettigrew House and the other is Walker’s aunt, Georgianna, who is found dead in her home. Walker features more in this story as we find out more about the tensions in his family. However, there is a lot of humour throughout and they are very enjoyable to read.

I had actually hoped this would be the last in the series, as I don't like to start things and not finish them, but even though there is another book coming out this year, I won't be continuing with this series. Yes, it is easy reading, even though this one took me longer to get through as I'd really lost all interest in the characters, and where as when I started the series I found it to be quite cosy, I've reached the point where it all feels annoying, particularly Bernie. Whilst I am happy to overlook a lot of things with these stories, I just don't believe that the characters of Liz and Mary would actually maintain a friendship with Bernie, and I've had enough of reading about her too.
