Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" is a really well written novel which shows racism in the South during the late nineteenth century.
The theme in this novel shows the importance of standing up for what you believe in,no matter what. In the novel, Atticus Finch defends Tom Robinson.Another theme illustrated in "To Kill a Mockingbird" is the importance of racial equality. The book states the fact that all humans are capable of helping humanity, regardless of their skin color or race.
The setting takes place in the town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the Great Depression of the 1930's as we know the great depression was completely different then how things are now there was alot of racial problems and discrimination. The author does a really good job on making me feel like I'm in the book.
I would recommend reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. The book is very well written , and it's themes are very true to reality. The protagonists of the novel are very likeable.
