NO STEAM in the Steamy Monster Romance!!!
I am so pissed with this book and Author. I have read other books by this Author and there was always steam (sex), however there was ZERO STEAM, ZERO SPICE. What the hell S. Alexander?!? This could be classified as a stupid YA. How can you call a book Steamy Romance without any damn steam?!? Also, is she just going to stay a boring human that will eventually die while he lives forever? That's probably something that should have been addressed. There practically no physical description on Elaina. Grey eyes, barely over 5 feet tall and wears glasses, that's it. This was so disappointing. I would not recommend this book to anyone who likes Steamy Romance books.

I'm still a little shaky on the timeline for these books. With Elaina and Valentin finding their way out of the prison that makes three separate instances where something catastrophic happened? Or does this one take place line with Tara and Garruk's escape? I also think the Warden dies in every previous book, so...I'm not sure what's going on there. That said, I DO know he didn't die this time and there was setup for other prisons that need to be liberated.
Anywho. Valentin is starving, Elaina gets thrown in his prison with him. She knows what he is and she knows what he's capable of, but he surprises her by not going all feral on her and draining her dry. Things happen, she gets hurt (bot by him), he heals her, they escape. Kind of. More like they stepped into a trap set by the Warden so he can trigger Valentin's monster and see what he's capable of.
Honestly, the Warden has now had 3 separate couples escape from his prison. I don't think he's the mastermind he's being portrayed as. In the end, I'm here for the possessive monsters and I AM getting that, but I have questions.

My 2nd favorite in the series
I enjoyed this one, although it’s hard to pinpoint why. All of these books follow the same formula. But, this one had more to it, main,y because the female in this story worked at the facility. Seeing things from the eyes of someone who is aware of the inner workings of the place added some additional context.
We’ve got a vampire who knows she’s his mate after he drinks some of the blood she offered (obviously) and she’s another competent partner that he adores.
Again, getting closer to shutting the whole place down.

She is his Bride, but he’s been starved, tested with horrible experiments to find out his limit’s, weakness .
Read to find out what happens.
Can’t wait for upcoming books, the Island has a prison with more dangerous monsters. More fated mates? Can they escape as well?

there was no spicy scenes fyi
it’s marketed as romance short read i read bk 1&2 and it had spice I was expecting spice other then that the story was sort of ok in this one it didn’t hit like the other two books did though , 1 start because it didn’t follow like of the first 2 books with the spice , yes i know spice is not needed i was just expecting coming from bk 1&2 so it seems misleading

She is thrown into the darkest of wings where monsters can't be contained. She is a doctor who is considered a traitor. He is left hungry in more ways than one.
Great continuation in the series. No spice in this book just pure care and compassion.

Loving thus series
This series has been wonderful, monsters being experimented on but then unexpected things happen and things turn for the better, each on of these should be read in order thou this one catches up to the other too at the end.

Different Monster
The warden put her in with the monster as punishment, but the outcome is not as planned. Compassion, ancient cunning and a solution seeker. A compelling story with a to be continued ending.

Definitely not “steamy” as described but I immediately started this book after the Orc’s Prize. I couldn’t sleep without knowing if the next book (this one) continued the series plot. It did!

This time they find out their names but spice except one kiss scene. These are the quickest books ever read but am enjoying the plot and characters.
