He needed an heir. I needed security. Neither of us expected to fall in love.
Marco Rossetti has spent six years rebuilding from the ashes of his father's destroyed mafia empire. When Don Vincenzo Salvatore offers marriage in exchange for protection and position, Marco knows it's a devil's bargain—but he's desperate enough to take it.
The arrangement is Marco provides the heir Vincenzo needs to secure his legacy. In return, he gets safety, wealth, and a chance to prove his worth beyond his disgraced family name. No emotions. No complications. Just a transaction.
Until Marco's heat changes everything.
Suddenly, the calculated arrangement becomes something neither of them planned for. Marco discovers he's pregnant ahead of schedule—and that the ruthless Don has a tender side reserved only for him. But the organization isn't ready for an omega who challenges tradition, questions authority, and refuses to stay quietly in the background.
When rivals attack and bullets fly, Marco has to prove his worth by risking everything, or accept the protected role everyone expects him to play.
Vincenzo chose Marco for his mind. But keeping him will require trusting that an omega from a failed family can be the partner—and parent—the Salvatore legacy needs.
An Heir for the Don is a 50,000 word omegaverse mafia romance featuring heat scenes, mpreg, a possessive alpha who falls hard, an omega determined to prove himself, and a guaranteed HEA with an adorable baby. No cheating, no love triangles—just two men building a family against all odds.
2.5 Starts Ah yes… the KU curiosity strikes again. I never know how to rate theses. This one was okay - it’s a fun quick read but it was a little long - the middle dragged out and it felt like characters would just repeat the same conflict/convo over and over. And some of the conflict resolutions didn’t feel very satisfying and a little rushed.
This was a really good read I liked both of these characters. Marco Rossetti has spent six years rebuilding from the ashes of his father's destroyed mafia empire. When Don Vincenzo Salvatore offers marriage in exchange for protection and position, Marco knows it's a devil's bargain, but he's desperate enough to take it. Marco put himself through college becoming a financial analyst but he is barley keeping his head above water. Don Vincenzo needs an heir he is in this late 40's all of the Omegas that they suggesting are boring him he wants someone that challenges him when his second in commend mentions Marco Rossetti he is intrigued. Marco is not your average omega and he makes that clear he wants to work to be productive not sit around be a house omega. I liked how each of the fought for what they wanted. I did a small problem with the repeating of different phases. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
Over all, it scratched that itch for mafia non shifter omegaverse. Its a fast read and there's no real drama so its an easy read. That being said, it IS a bit redundant. Every time they had sex outside the heat they mentioned why he wasn't knotting, he asked him to "grab his ****" and has him "spilling over his fist"- it just lacked some creativity in the smut department, and the third act drama was over in a page and a half, so nothing was really built up or let down. If you want something mindless and easy, this is the book to read for sure. I enjoyed it, I just won't be rereading it.
Definitivamente IA.
A steady balance of action, mafia politics, family drama, and excitement. Still getting used to the Omgeaverse and I'm loving the dynamics along with the system structure and it was well represented. This is my second mafia book by this author and while the names improved, to have the Mc's last name as a first name for another vital character can be slightly niggling other than that I enjoyed this.
I liked the story and mafia romances and Omega is good too. It just was incredibly repetitive saying the same things over and over again. The dialogue doesn’t feel real, stilted. Characters are ok but not differentiated enough to be believably real. Not a favorite.
