This novel is dangerously good.
From the very first chapters, I was already pulled into Sergio Leonelle’s world a cold, controlled drug lord who looks like a man who needs no one. And somehow, that emotional distance is exactly what makes him magnetic.

Sergio shows interest in Artasy long before he dares to admit it. Quiet glances. Subtle protection. Emotional denial wrapped in a cold exterior. He hides behind restraint, until Artasy slowly steps into his world and once she does, nothing stays the same.

When Sergio finally allows himself to feel, even in the smallest ways, it’s devastating in the softest sense. As a reader, I melted instantly. A man like him is not supposed to be gentle, yet he is.

At first, their story feels simple. Natural. Warm. The kind of romance that flows without trying too hard. But gradually, the narrative deepens. It becomes darker, heavier, and emotionally layered especially when they are forced to separate for years for Artasy’s future and her child. Yes, they have a child. That part hurts, but it matters.

What makes this story powerful is how they complete each other.
Light and darkness. Black and white. Sergio with his violent world, Artasy with her idealism. She is sent to capture him yet after witnessing betrayal within her own institution, she chooses to betray the system instead. She protects Sergio. She protects their love. And that choice changes everything.

And the action scenes? Brutal and cinematic.
Gunfights, chaos, adrenaline Sergio and Artasy fighting side by side as one. Not just lovers, but partners. A true power couple.

The ending is gentle. A true happy ending.
After years of separation, sacrifice, and pain, they finally get the life they deserve. Closing this book felt warm, relieving, and deeply satisfying.

In short:
This is romance without cringe.
Action that feels alive.
Drama that cuts deep.
A love story that lingers long after the last page.

This is the kind of novel that leaves you thinking, “I’m not moving on from this anytime soon.”
