A Hunter, a Fae Shifter, a power to face the Darkness …
Were Hunter, Callum MacHeath, wants nothing more than to help his Alphas build their new Packlands into a place of safety and welcome. His only sadness is that his brother, Bram, still refuses to leave their old Alpha and venture north to join them. But then Leanna, half of his Alpha team, has a he must journey south to find an incredibly powerful and mysterious Being whom only he can manage to bring into the pack. A Being they will need if they are to survive the dark times ahead even while death and destruction follow in her wake. Even as Callum heads south, he worries whether he really should bring this woman back to his pack – until he claps eyes on her and realises she’s his mate!
Keighlie Abbott, failed Fae Shifter, has just escaped the clutches of the Witch Inquisitor. Horribly injured, her determination to find her Maman and sister are the only things keeping her going. But then, close to death, she runs into a strange man who saves her and Heals her, even though it almost kills him to do so. Even though experience tells her she can’t trust any stranger – no matter how handsome or how mesmerising his beautiful eyes – she saves him right back with power she never knew she had. Power that tells her she’s something her people have always been afraid of.
Power that is attracting a terrible, dark entity that the stranger, Callum, seems to know all about. Was she mistaken in trusting him? And worse, is she mistaken in trusting she can control the power that ancient lore tells her could kill everyone she loves – including, shockingly, Callum.

This is the third book in this series and wow, it doesn't disappoint. Callum is sent on a mission to find someone and bring them back to the Pack. When he comes across a badly injured Keighlie, he realizes that she is the one he needed to find as well as what she is to him and will do whatever it takes to heal her and keep her safe. Keighlie wants to find her mother and sister but is frightened of her power, a power that is getting stronger. As they try to escape the forces being sent to destroy them an old enemy has resurfaced and secrets are revealed, secrets that will shock yet strengthen the bond between Callum and Keighlie. Fantastic characterisation and storyline. I loved seeing how the bond between them worked and how the animals were around both of them. This series has been captivating and engaging and Book 3 has continued in the same way and I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens next to the Pack.
Book 3 of the Dawn of the Curse - A fated mates romantasy series. For maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.

Moving pack lands north is quite the venture. Callum wants to stay and help them build. Unfortunately his brother is staying in the old pack land and Callum is tasked to bring a woman he does not know, but has been told if the pack is to survive the darkness in the future, she must come to the new pack land. To his surprise he discovers just how important she is to him as well. She is his mate. She has escaped the hands of a Witch Inquisitor, barely, as she has injuries. Injuries Caallum has to mend before she can travel. This is action packed and very short. Looking for more from Leisl Leighton
