Despite being a committed fan of cricket, this book had a great number of illustrations and photographs I’d never seen. The accompanying text was a sort of chronological, thematic history of the game which was also interesting and easy to read.
Perhaps just my view but I do feel the text and the images could have been more closely linked. For example, telling the history through the images, by discussing/exploring the images in the main text.
That said, that clearly wasn’t the intention and this is a good book for cricket nerds like me!
