Did I immediately panic when I realized that Kyle was possibly in danger?! Yes. Yes I did.
I literally gasped out loud. Then thought Nicole how could you?!
But I think it’s safe to say that we all love him so dearly that I should have known that if anyone could take a possibility awful situation and make it better it would be our ride or die bestie Kyle.
I went from emotional turmoil to dang that’s hot so many times in this short story… the whispers is real!
But I can officially go happily into the new year knowing that all is somewhat well in the Kyleverse world…at least for now.

A cursed pair of novelty glasses at a New Year’s Eve party should be an easy problem for Kyle. He has built a reputation on helping fix strange, magical messes, usually with confidence and charm... And a good hot dicking. This time, that approach does not work, and watching him hit that wall is new for the Kyleverse.
This installment leans a bit heavier on introspection. There is still humor and spice, but it takes a back seat to the emotional tension and the question of what he is willing to give up for someone he barely knows. It hits differently than some of the lighter books and I appreciated seeing Kyle challenged in a new way.

It's New Year's Eve and Kyle is partying with his friends at The Axe Cheek. He picks up a pair of novelty New Year's glasses which unwittingly links him to a curse and traps him in a time loop. Kyle needs to utilize his friends to figure out how to break the curse, because the person in the curse, Ethan, is very judgy and Kyle deserves better.
As a lover of all things Kyleverse I loved this very Kyle heavy tale. I even found myself tearing up at moments because Kyle is so loved and important. I would definitely read all the Kyleverse books before this one because it is a veritable who's who of characters, but you should do that anyway because they are so fun.

What a great way to end 2025!
Though I am a little predisposed not to like Ethan with the way he was acting for most of the book. Shaming is never alright, especially when you're cursed to be tacky new year glasses >.>
Countdown was an interesting new take with Kyle being the one dealing with the cursed object. Bless him, bit slow on the uptake in this one 😂 I do wonder who Ethan managed to upset, it would be really funny if it was someone else in the universe!
I love that whenever a group of the characters gets together, it always ends up being an orgy of some sort!

Our New Years party take a little sideways turn for our beloved Kyle when he puts on a pair of fun costume glasses that of course aren't just glasses. As he tries to ensure all of his friends have a fantastic evening, he also has to navigate a not-so-helpful sentient friend.
This book takes you on a wild loop with a party complete with cursed glasses back room shenanigans, some sexy punishments, and also so many emotions! Although this book still has everything we know and love from this series, there are so many more feelings you need to be ready for!

Clever little story of NYE in the Kyleverse but the end leaves me wishing Kyle would find a pack and settle down. He'd be such a good boy friend.

Kyle loves to celebrate the new year with a bang 😉
Fun Kyle POV Kyleverse story! Lots of familiar characters from previous stories and plenty of k!nky s3x, of course. I enjoyed the time loop, but nearly started ugly crying at the end. A unique addition to this wonderful series!
