Shine Solutions : A Why Choose Mafia Romantic Comedy

Rate this book
When I started Shine Solutions no one mentioned I would be dragged into a world I never dreamed of. I wanted offices, rental turnovers, and the kind of messes that could be fixed with bleach and a little patience. What I didn’t expect was to walk into a damn crime scene and get hired on the spot by a mafia crew who treats blood like a scheduling inconvenience and me like their unofficial disaster‑response unit. I also did not expect to keep saying yes to them, but here we are.
The men hover so much that I keep wondering if I accidentally hired THEM as a babysitter for myself and pretending it does not bother me is becoming a full-time job. Every time I try to work, someone ends up too close, and somehow I am the one apologizing when I bump into a wall of muscle that should not have been behind me in the first place. Watching me has become a group activity, which only makes my brain short-circuit faster, and then I ramble until my face turns red.
Food, warnings, updates, and whatever else they think will keep me alive keep landing in my hands before I can protest, and the more it happens, the more I question whether I am losing my mind or if they are slowly taking it from me. I keep insisting I am not part of their world, but something in my chest keeps reacting as if I already am, and I do not know what to do with that.
I'm being dragged deeper into their chaos. They keep acting as if I belong here. Making it harder to pretend I am only here for the paycheck, even though I keep insisting that is the only reason I have not run away yet.
Riven’s people are pushing into their territory. Steven is causing problems. The basement is wrapped in plastic again. The men are preparing for another interrogation, and I am trying to figure out how my life turned into a schedule full of crime scenes, arguments, and six dangerous men who cannot function without me, even though I am the one who keeps insisting I am not part of this.
I wanted a simple cleaning job. I got a turf war, a stack of crime scenes, and a group of men who keep pulling me into their mess and acting like I am the one who started it.

I really wanted to like this. But I couldn’t. No one listens to her. She’s made out to be competent but also kind of an idiot. The MMCs have ZERO personality. I was 60% in and NOTHING had happened.
It’s a constant push and pull from everyone. I didn’t understand the plot and I hate the “I don’t fuck with the help” lines that were thrown out.

Vary different read

Ill be honest and say this wasn't to my taste. But others will probably love it. I like more of a character and world building in books. Where this jumps right into things and right in to scenes with no back story. Like being a cleaner and having a membership to an exclusive bdsm club while not explainibg how your payibg for this or just deciding yo go off a whim with no booking. But it seemed like there were inconsistencies in this. The FMC is sassy strong and whitty. Which I usually love in my FMC, but I like them smart aswell. Honestly what cleaner would react with full on flirting and back talking while cleaning up blood stains on the first day, be cool with it but unable to come up with a plausible lie to the best friend. I think i like my stories slower and with more build up. This seems fast paced. So if you like that, this is a book for you.

Cleaning Queen

New author for me saw mafia and comedy. I’m sold! So glad I did! Flipping funny, this fmc is snarkiness personified. The way her and Adrian went at it had me rolling. Then add action galore, gore hello she’s a cleaner cough cough. Abusive ex gets replaced by six men. Go grab this!

OTT

And fun to read! The only issue I had was editorial, the author has a thing about not using contractions in the characters' dialogues. It becomes rather distracting, taking me a bit of the story.

seriously enjoyed

I really enjoyed this book. It was funny. Had some heat but was definitely more plot than smut. The smut it did have was A+. Honestly loved it and now i am going to have to read this authors whole backlist.

Great read!

I gave it4 stars because I wanted more written about the guys. It felt a bit rushed, wish we had a second book to get more from the characters. I did enjoy reading this tho! I like the characters and the storyline was great!
