Este libro me dejó queriendo irme a una posada que tenga un lago y cielo despejado solo para ver las estrellas.
La historia fue hermosa, fue un simple, un fake dating (donde todos sabían menos una persona jeje) bien ejecutado, la verdad es que estos dos personajes fueron lindos juntos, la química que tenían se sentía en cada página y como Noah le decía a Beth todo lo que valía y más, cuando ella salió de una relación donde la habían sentí menos. Su historia fue linda, cada escena, cada interacción, sentías el amor creciendo y eso me gusto.
El Found Family fue hermoso también, todo lo que Beth quería y más y eso me hizo tirar algunas lágrimas por ella.
Fue un libro que lo leí rápido, me atrapo y no pude soltarlo por lo lindo que fue, no hay mucho drama, un romance lindo y sano y unos personajes tanto principales como secundarios que me encantaron.

The story was beautiful—a simple, well-executed fake dating plot (where everyone knew except one person jejeje). The truth is, these two characters were adorable together; you could feel their chemistry on every page, and the way Noah told Beth just how much she was worth and more especially since she’d just come out of a relationship where she’d been made to feel less than. Their story was lovely—every scene, every interaction—you could feel the love growing, and I loved that.
The found family was beautiful too, it was everything Beth wanted and more, and it made me shed a few tears for her.
It was a book I read quickly; it hooked me, and I couldn’t put it down because it was so lovely. There isn’t much drama—just a sweet, wholesome romance with both main and supporting characters that I absolutely loved.

Maple tree lodge is a special place and it makes its visitors feel at home.
When Beth crashes through another unsuitable relationship she is welcomed back to the hotel to kick her wounds amongst the people she cares about and her chosen family. A mistake in the booking of rooms means she crashes into Noah the estranged member of the family and cousin. He is mean and moody on the outside but they discover they are kindred spirits. Strong friendships are formed and both Beth and Noah realise they have more to their characters that they have shown.
This was a lovely catch up with the family and I loved it. Thank you NetGalley for this arc in exchange of an honest review.

I fell in love with Maple Tree Lodge and the Jackson family with Coming Home to Maple Tree Lodge and Starry Nights Over Dragonfly Lake is a wonderful addition to the series. I think I've written this in both reviews of the series so far but I wish you could actually visit the Lodge because it sounds so cosy. It's been fun to read about the expansion of the Lodge with each book from the Light Festival, Frankie's cocktails in the snug, Hannah's Boathouse Cafe and Alex's watersports centre on the lake to now Beth's stargazing nights and the wooden lodges built by Ben and Noah.
Beth is such a sweetheart and it's easy to understand why she wants to fall in love and have her own family after being abandoned on the steps of a hospital when she was just a few hours old and growing up in foster care, not getting adopted because she needed surgery for a heart defect. It's amazing that she's so upbeat and I admire how she grafted to get her PhD in astronomy whilst working multiple jobs.
Noah had his own difficult childhood, growing up with his dad, who could never settle in one place for too long. Like Beth, he's built his own successful career as an in-demand boat-maker. But whereas Hannah gravitates towards love and family, I can also understand why Noah initially recoils from it. At his Dad's funeral, he's invited to the lodge by his great-uncle, Walter to collect his inheritance and when he first arrives, he doesn't trust the Jacksons' kindness.
Beth and Noah are thrown together after Beth's slimy ex, Jeremy turns up at the lodge, attempting to win her back and to make him leave, Beth pretends she's dating Noah. The more they spend time together, the more obvious it is that there's nothing fake about their feelings for each other. When the opportunity comes up for Beth to use her love of astronomy to run stargazing nights at the lodge, it's Noah who gives her confidence. Beth is the first person that Noah really opens up to and it leads to him accepting his place in the Jackson family.
The Maple Tree Lodge series is romantic, funny and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. I can't wait to read Ella's story although it'll make me sad if that's the conclusion to the series.

Another delightful escape from Alison Sherlock.
Returning to the Maple Tree Lodge Hotel felt like coming home. Although this is the third book in the series, I had previously read the second instalment, so slipping back into this wonderful community was effortless. Alison Sherlock has a gift for creating places that feel welcoming, familiar and full of heart, and every visit leaves me smiling.
I read this book in around six hours because once I picked it up, I simply didn't want to put it down. It was like a warm, comforting hug, exactly the sort of story I look for when I want to escape into a lovely community with characters I genuinely care about.
Beth and Noah were a wonderful couple. Noah was kind, dependable and impossible not to like, while Beth was refreshingly herself. She was chatty, honest and wonderfully outspoken, even when she was battling her own self doubt. One of my favourite moments was her confidently declaring, "I know karate!" after finding herself in a thoroughly embarrassing situation. It made me laugh out loud and perfectly captured her personality. She wasn't a flawless heroine, but she was genuine, and I found myself rooting for her from beginning to end.
As always, the supporting characters and sense of community were among the novel's greatest strengths. Alison Sherlock creates friendships and family relationships that feel authentic, making Dragonfly Lake somewhere I would happily return to time and again.
My only real disappointment was Jeremy. After everything he put Beth through, I kept waiting for the moment when he would finally face some consequences for his behaviour. He was such an unlikeable character that I felt the story would have been even more satisfying had he received the dressing down he so thoroughly deserved.
Even so, this was another wonderfully comforting read from Alison Sherlock. The warmth, humour, friendships and strong sense of community easily outweighed my one frustration. If you enjoy cosy romances with memorable characters, heartfelt relationships and communities you'll wish were real, this series is one I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Starry Nights Over Dragonfly Lake was such a heartwarming and emotional read that completely drew me into its cozy lakeside setting. It follows Beth, an astronomer trying to rebuild her life after heartbreak, and Noah, a carpenter who unexpectedly inherits a cottage at Maple Tree Lodge. Alison Sherlock is a new author to me and Starry Nights over Dragonfly Lake was a great introduction to her writing. I'm excited to find out that there are more books in this series because I would like to spend more time in Maple Tree Lodge. The book is published today and I look forward to reading more in the future.

It was also easy to get up to speed with the world and understand who the characters were. Beth and Noah connect because they have a lot more in common than meets the eye. Both have had difficult, mostly parentless childhoods and are currently at a crossroads.
I also liked the discussions of astronomy and carpentry in the book, but what I really liked was how the theme of taking charge of life despite obstacles was handled. Maple Tree Lodge was a supportive environment that provided the structure for both Beth and Noah to flourish.
This book was cozy and sweet for the most part because of the atmosphere. I would like to read more books by Alison Sherlock to get a fuller picture of this series. I think it is possible to read Starry Nights on its own, but I imagine that will get even more from it with more context about the other characters.

The hotel has just started its Night Lights Festival, having issues with power cuts and in the process of building some guest lodges.
Beth has just found out her boyfriend has cheated on her and come to lodge where her found family love. Noah is also boring a broken heart and has come at the request of grandfather Walter. Their romance was sweet, I enjoyed their meet cute and seeing their relationship grow and develop over the novel. Both came from troubled backgrounds and it was to see them heal. Their skills Beth, an astronomer and Noah a boat builder come in handy to help the hotel survive. The side characters are fun and I loved the cosy and Christmas vibes. For fans of healing, cosy romances and forced proximity, meet cute, reformed bad boy, fake dating and grumpy sunshine tropes. I can’t wait for Ella’s story next.

I loved Beth and Noah together. They were perfect for each other. Watching them heal and emotionally grow together was heartwarming. Beth had some hilarious moments with Noah. I personally enjoyed the information I learned about astronomy and carpentry. I beautiful story of love, resilience and finding your perfect better half in a dreamy atmosphere.

I loved being back at Maple Tree Lodge with the Jackson family. Meeting cousin Noah and learning of his tough upbringing and watching him connect with family and learning to love himself and let people in.
We’ve met Beth in previous books, but this time it’s her turn to shine. Learning about her childhood really touched me, as you could see it affected Noah too. I’ll admit to crying a few tears when Noah plays Santa and leaves her her first Christmas stocking. I loved learning all about the stars and astronomy when Beth gave her talks.
Watching them both circle each other, wary of catching feelings was lovely, the chemistry between them was there from the start, everyone saw it except them. I was so happy for them in the end. I can’t wait to see who’s happy ever after it will be next.

Such a delightful cozy romance. Love is slowly building for two people with terrible childhoods. She was abandoned at birth and lived in foster homes. No one adopted her because of a pre-existing heart condition. Her love of astronomy carried her along through life. He lived hand to foot with a vagrant father, never having a real home or any security. Trust was absent for him until they met and love grew.

Meet Beth (what a lovely character!), who has to overcome quite a few disappointments. We see her discovering who she really is and what she wants from life.
A great and heartwarming read - perfect to escape reality for a while!
This book is part oft he Maple Tree Lodge series, but can easily be read as a standalone.

This is the third in the series and by far my favourite, we revisit Maple Tree Lodge, but I do think it could be read as a stand alone novel.
There are some familure characters but our story is about Beth and Noah, they are both really well written and you can feel the emotion coming off the pages.
The setting is amazing and I would jump at the chance to stay at this hotel.
I did a mixture of Audio and reading, the narrator was perfect for the story

Overcoming difficult childhoods makes loving and accepting love a challenge for this couple. The family we make with our friends and finding family helps them to cope with life in general. A sweet, emotional connection in this charming romance. A lovely series. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

A lovely evening spent cosied reading and learning about the stars, carpentry and what home is!
Not your typical characters or combinations which made this story all the more compelling. Beth and Noah have had respective difficult but different starts in life. Beth is full of optimism and Noah is full of cynicism a perfect opposites attract but the more you read the characters unfold and tell a beautiful story about home and family.
Brilliant way to spend a night drinking tea and turning pages into the wee hours.

A Feel-Good Story.
Two people with less than ideal childhoods, who have dealt with the aftermaths differently, eventually find happiness together. A story of family by blood and family by choice. A warm and cosy read. Recommended.

Another great story in the series. I can’t wait for the next one hopefully out in January 27 . I found the astronomy facts very interesting too . It’s surprising what you can learn from a good story teller . It actually got me looking for the stars in the night sky

Beth comes to Maple Tree Lodge unexpectedly after another failed relationship. The lodge is owned by her best friends and she is given the last “family room” but she literally crashes into Noah who was also given this room. He is a grumpy extended family member of the owners with a negative reputation. When Beth’s creepy ex shows up, they pretend to be together. Beth needs to find her way in her chosen career and Noah is slowly getting more comfortable in the family. As they each move to a new path the world is showing them a view of what can be. I received an advance reader copy of this sweet book from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

Having just read a book by a different author that was like wading through treacle 'Starry Nights over Dragonfly Lake' was just what I needed to read next! I couldn't put it down! I love the setting and wish I could visit and even more there myself! The family are all so friendly and welcoming and it was great to read the next book in the series and be back amongst them all. Everything about the book was perfect; the story, the writing style, the characters - perhaps my only complaint was the book coming to an end! I highly recommend the series and can't wait for the next installment!

A great little bit of escapism. It was nothing mind blowing but I enjoyed it, even with its predictability. I thought it could have moved a bit quicker but an enjoyable, easy read.
