It’s great to meet you! I’m a socially-awkward introvert who loves love stories. I’m not awesome at singing or keeping my house clean, but I somehow find the time to obsessively read romance novels. I consider it one of my many talents.
In my opinion, you can never have too many books (or french fries…), messy buns are a girl’s best friend, and I’d probably die without my laptop. If I wasn’t over-committing myself to future stories or procrastinating to meet my deadlines, I’m not quite sure what I’d do with myself.
Be sure to find all sorts of sneak peeks and my more than likely cuss-word filled rantings over on the blog. Oh, and if you’re a fan of getting in the mood to read and connecting to the characters that way, check out the playlists that accompany each story in the “Playlists” tab.
I devoured it! It's not an amazing, wow story, but I enjoyed it immensely. I think the only downside is ____________________ Follow me ♡ Instagram Facebook
“She’s my wife,” Gabriel says coldly. “And she is carrying the heir I’ve been waiting for after you’ve been such a disappointment.”
“You’re no longer my son. From this moment on, you are a stranger to me. I’m taking back my money and my name. You leave this room tonight with absolutely nothing but the consequences of your own actions.”
Damn this was so fun. Ex boyfriend’s dad who’s been stalking and obsessed the whole time, just biding his time until he could have her.
-Dual PoV -Age gap h27, H48 -Ex boyfriends dad -Revenge, touch her and die, j/p obsessed H, breeding and pregnancy -No OWD at all for h&H (ex bf was cheating so there’s some owd there) no mention of H’s past really at all or if he was celibate while he was stalking her but he’s so obsessed I feel like it was a given. -OMD is obviously the ex but it’s sooo satisfying when he gets his karma -No third act breakup -HEA -epilogue a few years later, they’ve had boy/girl twins and she’s heavily pregnant again and they’re still happily married

2,5⭐️/5 Such a good potential, but such a poor execution of it 🥲
I LOVE the ex’s dad trope, so I was all in just by reading the synopsis. A revenge story where the good girl risk everything just to make the people who wronged her pay ? Amazing !!
The first few chapters were good, then not so much and by the end of it, the story was just downright ridiculous.
The FMC felt like such a badass preparing her plan, then came the time to enact it. The MMC made his first demand over her, and instead of proving that she changed. That she won’t bow down to anyone anymore, and standing her ground. She just gave in, without a fight whatsoever, to his first demand. And then to next, and the next, up until, by the end of the story, she’s just a little submissive puppy who scrambles to jump just because her master demanded it.
What’s the point of writing a story, making it seem like it will be focusing on the journey of a character who stops being a pushover. If it just to transform her from a pushover for a man to a spineless, love blinded puppet for another one ?? And then I’m reminded of the fact that the FMC is 27 (TWENTY SEVEN) and the story turns downright pitiful.
The MMC was true to himself, and since he didn’t receive any pushback from the FMC regarding his actions, he didn’t exhibit any character growth by the end of the story. A love obsessed man might sound funny and great, up to a degree. The MMC unfortunately wasn’t in the “aw it sounds so good to be loved like that” category but in the “it sounds dumb, ridiculous and kinda scary” category.
Kinda shocked that this book got such a good rating, but then again I’m not a fan of such fast paced story where the FMC is just a pushover for the “big bad” MMC.
I love it when authors give their readers a surprise release. I think Heather Ashley may have done this last Christmas as well with Unholy Nights. That was another great one. This Christmas, it’s For I Have Sinned. As soon as I saw it, I downloaded it and didn’t stop reading until I finished. Heather Ashley included all her readers' favorites in this one.
It’s the ex-boyfriend’s dad, age gap, revenge, Br33ding, pregnancy, lots of spice, with some twisty excitement added to the plot. I was locked in, as the kids would say. That twit of a boyfriend dissed Blair in the beginning. She planned to go after his father. Little did she know that Gabriel was all for it and had his eye on her for some time —cough, shmalking, cough.
Gabriel is all things alpha and takes control in a 'get things done for my woman' kind of way. He’s very protective of Blair. I liked how Heather is building this series, too. Everything takes place in the Emerald Hill universe, so there are Savage Society cameos.
Ruthless, stalking, breeding kink. He’s watched her for years, planning, strategizing and she will be his. Forever…..He wants to break her and put her back together, showing how strong she is. Even she’s my son’s ex.
For I Have Sinned is dark, intense, and completely unforgettable. Heather Ashley doesn’t hold back, delivering a story that is raw, emotional, and unapologetically sinful in the best way. From the first page, I was hooked by the atmosphere, the tension, and the dangerous pull between the characters.
The chemistry is undeniable—charged with temptation, guilt, and obsession. What I loved most is how deeply emotional this book is beneath the darkness. The characters are complex, flawed, and haunted, and their connection feels both forbidden and inevitable. Every interaction carries weight, making even the quiet moments feel powerful.
Heather Ashley’s writing is immersive and beautifully intense. She builds the story with just the right balance of slow-burn tension and explosive moments that leave you breathless. The themes of desire, redemption, and surrender are woven together seamlessly, creating a story that lingers long after you turn the final page.
If you love dark romance with forbidden elements, morally gray characters, and a storyline that makes you feel everything, For I Have Sinned is an absolute must-read. Heather Ashley proves she knows exactly how to write temptation, heartbreak, and passion in a way that feels addictive and deeply human. Highly recommend. 🔥📖
This is the second year of Heather giving us an unapologetic unhinged mmc as a surprise release that’s like an awesome Christmas gift. This is set in the Emerald Hills world.
Gabriel Hollis is part of the elite and one of the biggest monsters and when he becomes obsessed with Blair Ashby his son’s (ex) girlfriend there was no line he didn’t cross to get everything he wanted. Three years he has waited to make her his. These two matched each others unhinged thoughts. The revenge plan to sleep with the ex’s father goes a little off the rails when he has a similar plan but his is for keeps. He is brutal when it comes to anyone hurting her and takes keeping her safe seriously. We get all the heat, maybe it’s time to confess your sins HOT, the br££ding with pregnancy, sta1k1ng, and manipulation to get what he wanted. My favorite the age gap (48/27). What do you get a man that can have and does have anything, you create a playlist.
I really love this world and all the cameos from the Savage Six. This could be read as a standalone but I really enjoyed it more having read Unholy Night since Cohen Astor is Gabriel’s lawyer.
Gabriel Hollis is EVERYTHING 😍 I got sucked into For I Have Sinned so fast I didn’t even realize how deep I was until it was too late—and I loved every second of it. This story is dark, addictive, and unapologetically unhinged. What starts as revenge spirals into something far more dangerous, and the tension never lets up. Gabriel is the kind of MMC who completely dominates the page—powerful, obsessive, calculating, and absolutely feral in his devotion. He doesn’t just want Blair; he wants her future, her loyalty, her entire world. And somehow… it works. Blair is exactly the kind of FMC I love to read about—hurt, angry, and done being powerless. The dynamic between her and Gabriel is intense, twisted, and impossible to look away from. Their chemistry crackles, and the push-and-pull between control and surrender is written so well. Add in small-town secrets, messy consequences, and dark holiday vibes, and this book becomes impossible to put down. If you love morally gray (or straight-up black) MMCs, revenge-fueled romance, and stories that fully commit to the darkness, For I Have Sinned will absolutely wreck you—in the best way. I’m obsessed. Gabriel Hollis lives rent-free in my head.

Yessss, this book! I love the Savage Society men and Gabriel fit right in with them. There was literally no line that he wouldn't cross to get Blair. She's had a boyfriend for 3 years that's literally his son? Not a problem, Gabe will just fix that little issue. 😂 He is unhinged in all the best ways and I just love how Blair slots right into his life - they're absolute perfection. 👏🏻
Tropes: ex's dad, breeding kink, OTT j/p, touch her + die, mafia adjacent, age gap, billionaire romance, hurt/comfort, unhinged obsessive MMC, revenge, cheating (not between H/h), marriage manipulation, stalking, dub con, sonmo, power imbalance, religious imagery/blasphemy
Wow I mean ex boyfriend dad??? Our author never disappoint us... Like he practically orchasted everything just to have her... And once she entered in his trap even though it was for her revenge but his intentions were clear Never let her go Do anything to keep her Make her happy Care for her Give her happiness her sorry ass of boyfriend never did... And damn it's so dark and obsessive like if you don't like stalker please it's not for you well and if you're a fan like me then girl better sit with that champagne 🥂 you'll need it..... And there's definitely hea I love seeing all of the savage six together and I'm waiting for the luca's book because he's mysterious and observant.....
This one was better than the first in my opinion. There wasn’t more of a connection and relationship that was built and seen throughout this book. The revenge aspect was nicely done. Gabriel is a drool worthy dark romance character. He is possessive and obsessive in all the right ways. His goal is to help his girl’s dreams come true, even if that means destroying his son’s entire world.
I really like stories of strong alpha men who protect their women. The mmc has bided his time and now he is ready to “seal the deal” with the woman of his dreams. He is a little underhanded, but I liked him and his protective attitude toward Blair. She grows in confidence throughout the story, with some help from Gabriel. There are a few of the typical tropes here: age gap, close proximity, breeding kink, slightly obsessed mmc. But I really enjoyed reading the book, and I’m ready for more.
Quickie Review: Oh my. This was such a fabulous, forbidden and completely unhinged romance. I love how dark and gritty Ms Ashley gets with her stories. The romance was scorching and off the rails. The characters were toxic but lovable at the same time. The story was deranged and had me smiling the whole way through. I loved every single word and I look forward to more from this series if Ashley plans to continue it. 5 Stars.
hot, fun, & insane. Blair & Gabriel have sooo much chemistry. Gabriel has been in love with his son's girlfriend for years. He has been lightly stalking her and setting up a plan so that she finally leaves his son who treats her terribly. Both FMC and MMC are unhinged but enjoy each other as they are. Cute epilogue!
If you are craving a manipulative MMC that will do anything to get the girl (who doesn't want that!) then this is a no-brainer read. Blair is with Gabriel's son, who is a complete tool. He does not appreciate her, cheats on her and publicly humiliated her. Luckily Gabriel was there to swoop her up and together they create a revenge plan (well, he kind of already had a plan..... she's just catching up!) this was a great read with a ton of spice and a crazy MMC that is devoted and will do ANYTHING to keep her. Loved it!
Heather KNOWS how to write 😅 this book starts with a banger of a beginning and doesn’t slow down even once. Love the Savage Six cameos, too! Thank you for this wonderful gift just in time for Christmas, Heather! Whooo!
I couldn't put it down I could've read 300 more pages of these two It was perfect! It was spicy!!🌶🌶🌶🌶 Definitely a keeper! Can't wait to gave this trophy on my bookshelf I can't wait for no 3... totally obsessed with these books!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ x 20
I enjoyed the first one in this series, but this one? I freaking LOVED it. I ate this one up. Gabriel Hollis is the perfect man and no one can tell me otherwise. Sorry not sorry. From the very first chapter I knew this book was going to be a bit of me. 5 ⭐️
Ok can we talk about an amazing story?! Loved this book from the very first chapter! I love it when the author doesn’t take you on unnecessary ups and downs just for drama but instead gives you a steady and consistent story.
I absolutely love Heathers surprise releases especially around Christmas time. There is just something about her writing that hooks you in and all you can do is finish the book. Loved this story!
