When I found an injured wolf outside the Witches' Brew, I couldn't leave him to suffer alone. Taking him home, I nursed him back to health. Little did I know he was actually a wolf shifter, investigating a series of unusual activities happening outside of Pleasant Grove.
I thought I was done with romance, but as I get to know the man behind the wolf, my heart slowly starts to open again. The looks of longing and the sizzling connection between us can't be denied, and the longer he stays with me, the more I start hoping for things I know I shouldn't.
Only Barrett is keeping secrets of his own, threatening everything I've ever known. But when the truth is revealed, what happens when it all comes crashing down on both of us?
A spicy witch x wolf shifter, only one bed, paranormal romance from bestselling author Jennifer Chipman.
Bewitchingly Hers is the third book in the international bestselling series, The Witches of Pleasant Grove. While this book is a standalone, it is highly recommended that you listen to the series in order for your best enjoyment.
Bewitchingly Hers is the first book I've ever read/listened to by Jennifer Chipman. This book was such a sweet and cozy read. This story has me wanting to curl up in my favorite chair with a blanket and cup of coffee while I listened to the narrators took me to a world with shifters, vampires, witches, and magic!
The MCs were easy to fall in love with and I have to say I loved Barrett's wolf the most! He was so sweet to Eryne as well as very protective of her! Barrett cares so much for and about Eryne from the start. How can you not love it when a MFC falls instantly and falls harder? Eryne is a healer and is such a caretaker in every sense of the word. She takes a little longer to fall for Barrett but when she does she's all in.
The narrators, Ash Kingsley and Chris Chambers, did a wonderful job of bringing Eryne and Barrett to life! I really enjoyed the dual narration was beautifully done and their voices really compliment each other.
I recommend this book for anyone looking for: a witch x shifter romance
a cozy paranormal romance
a small town romance
a fated mates romance
Thank you Valentine PR and Jennifer Chipman for an advanced listener copy of this book. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes in the future!

Stars 2.5 Spice 3.5 Narration style: Dual
I wanted to love this story. Paranormal romance is my absolute favorite, and cozy romance is also up there for me.
However, while the story itself was cute, I really struggled with this one for a few reasons: - Writing/style: There were a handful of instances of things like "he quickly put on his boots quickly", which I wouldn't expect to find since the book itself was published last year. The flow also felt a bit off at times when the story paused to go into details about the characters. It would have benefitted from more of a "show, don't tell" approach. - Tone, impact on spice: Overall the tone was better for a YA vibe, and because of this, the spice (plenty of it) really contrasted with the rest of the writing. It was fine in a bubble, but I had a hard time imagining either FMC or MMC being in these scenes or reacting the way they did. - Relationship/intimacy: The MMC did not tell the FMC about their mating bond (and another thing later) that he DEFINITELY should have. Why was this a secret? Why was she ok with him having kept this a secret? No. I don't buy it, especially because this was one of the main points of tension. AND he went into her phone to get her number without asking, but somehow this is also fine? - Priority of details: We were told things that didn't really seem to matter or would normally be woven throughout the story (Barrett shaved his beard, for example) but not seemingly critical things like what the purpose of a familiar is. The FMC's familiar was only mentioned a handful of times and mostly for being cute. - Epilogue overdose: Maybe this is because it's a standalone, but it felt like the story should have ended much sooner.
Some high notes: - The narrator for the FMC was really excellent. - There's potential for a super interesting longer story arc related to the rationale behind the seclusion of the town of Pleasant Grove/the barrier.
Note: I haven't read the first 2 books in the series. It works as a standalone.
This was my first read/listen from Jennifer Chipman, and honestly… I’m a little torn. The story itself is cute and the premise had me hooked — a witch saving an injured wolf who turns out to be a wolf shifter and her fated mate? Yes, please. But something about the execution just felt a little off for me, and I can’t quite put my finger on why.
Maybe I should’ve started with book one, because jumping in here left me feeling like I was missing a piece of the puzzle. The vibes were fun, the magic was interesting, and the romance had its moments, but overall it just didn’t fully click for me.
The narration was okay — nothing bad, just not super memorable. Ash Kingsley and Chris Chambers did a solid job, but it didn’t elevate the story the way I hoped.
That said, if you’re into witches and wolf shifters, only one bed, fated mates, cozy‑spicy paranormal romance you might vibe with this more than I did. It’s cute, it’s magical, it’s steamy it was just not totally my thing this time around.
A Captivating Spooky Season Listen with Heartfelt Characters "Bewitchingly Hers" is a charming addition to Jennifer Chipman’s Pleasant Grove series, perfectly capturing the essence of a cozy-meets-spicy paranormal romance in audio format. The chemistry between Eryne and Barrett is built on a foundation of sweetness and mutual care, which provides a lovely contrast to the mystery of the weakening town wards. While the narration by Ash Kings and Chris Chambers is high-quality and consistently maintains the listener's attention, the execution of the romantic tension occasionally lacked a natural flow during the more intimate sequences. Furthermore, the dual-perspective narrative felt slightly unbalanced, as Barrett's point of view was not quite as intriguing as Eryne’s. Nevertheless, with its high-stakes suspense and wonderful character cameos, this remains a four-star production that sets the stage beautifully for the final audiobooks in the series.
Another fun and spicy small town paranormal romance set in the Witches of Pleasant Grove. This time the focus is on Erin, a witch longing for a real family of her own who stumbles on a shifter trapped in his wolf form.
Shocked to find out the 'wolf' she's taken home is actually shifter sent to figure out what trying to harm the wards protecting her town, Erin also doesn't know that Barrett also happens to be her mate and he's determined to make her his.
Full of great chemistry, female friendship, a fight of good vs evil, a cute hedgehog familiar and fated mates with a knotting and mutual breeding kink. This was also good on audio narrated by Ash Kingsley and Christ Chambers and is perfect for fans of authors like Ali Hazelwood or Erin Sterling.
Many thanks to Valentine PR for an early ALC in exchange for my honest review. While this is part of a series and features cameos from past couples it can still work as a standalone read/listen sure to appeal to fans of small town paranormal romance stories.
Thank you to Valentine PR and Jennifer Chipman for sending me the ALC of Bewitchingly Hers!
When Eryne finds a wolf gravely injured outside of the Witches’ Brew, she cannot leave without nursing it back to health. As time goes on she enjoys this wolf more and more—that is, until she woke up and found out that her friend is a wolf-shifter. Now that Barrett is in his human form he knows one thing, that he wants Eryne and will find any way to make her his.
As someone who loves red-headed men, Barrett was up my alley. It was also amazing to go back to Pleasant Grove and get to meet more of the witches who reside there, perfect fall vibes. I gave it four stars because I am more of a slow-burn type of girl, but Jennifer Chipman knows how to make me fall for characters with her writing.
Thank you to Valentine PR and the author for a copy of this book
I enjoyed the dual narration by Ash Kingsley and Chris Chambers.
This was such a cozy paranormal romance and an easy one to sink into. I really enjoyed the caretaking dynamic between Eryne and Barrett. Barrett is incredibly easy to love, both as a wolf and as a man, and his devotion to Eryne very clear.
The small town, fall vibes are spot on. It is the kind of story that makes you want a blanket, a warm drink, and just one more chapter. If you are looking for a comforting witch x wolf shifter romance with heart, swoon, and seasonal vibes, this one delivers.
I loved this cozy paranormal romance. Erin took care of Barrett at a time of need healing him and Barrett will forever take care of Erin from then on. Set in a cozy fall town full of witches, other paranormal beings enter the town and shake things up. Listen to fall in love with Barrett alongside Erin
Tropes you’ll find in Bewitchingly Hers: 🍁 fated mates 🍁 small town 🍁 caretaking 🍁 cozy paranormal romance 🍁 witch x wolf shifter 🍁 one bed
Cozy paranormal at its best with just the right amount of spice. Yes it’s February but the fall vibes were just what my heart needed. As for the love story it’s the type that makes you feel warm and safe. If your nervous system is feeling over stimulated or you just need a cozy paranormal love story to fall into, Bewitchingly Hers is your safe place to land. Loved it. Definitely recommend no matter the season your in.
This is my first book from Jennifer Chipman so I wasn't sure what to expect with this. I was pleasantly surprised by the story. I love a good shifter romance and this was a cute story with a bit of steam. Eryne is a witch who runs her friends bakery and one night finds an injured wolf outside of the bakery. She takes he wolf home to help him heal only to find out there was more to him.
The narration for this book decent with Ash Kingsley and Chris Chambers reading the story
I loved both narrators. Their voices were so nice that it made it easy to fly through this book! I felt like they both matched the MCs very well.
Both of the main characters were so sweet that was hard not to fall for both of them. Barrett’s wolf was almost my favorite lol the way he was protective over Eryne made me swoon.
I thoroughly enjoyed the side characters. What is life without a few best friends (or a whole coven) all up in your business and encouraging you to take a risk.
This was my first shifter/ wolf romance and I will definitely be picking up more after this!
fated mates small town caretaking cozy paranormal romance witch x wolf shifter one bed
"Of all the beings in the universe, she was mine, and I would never squander that opportunity. Would never stop being grateful she was mine."
I was in awe of my little healer. The mate who didn't even know we were destined.
“Even without my wolf senses, I would have known the exact moment Eryne entered the room.”
I LOVE the witches of peasant cove series! If you’re looking for a cozy, witchy, small town romance I’d definitely recommend this series and I swear each book gets better! Barrett cares so much for Eryne, it’s hard not to love him.
