Magic, Mischief and A Fated in the Stars Christmas AnthologySometimes the spirit of the season has a way of finding you. Some lessons are soft and steady. Others are loud, bright, and impossible to ignore.
For Nix, this is his very first Christmas—his first time being part of something bigger than himself. He’s never had traditions, never had a room full of people who choose him without question. When Finn has a moment of inspired certainty and suggests a Secret Santa, the Rhodes Pack stumbles into something they didn’t know they eight gifts given from the heart, and the quiet realization that the real gift isn’t what’s wrapped—it’s the family they’re building together.
From there, the seasons keep turning.
From that first fragile year, the Rhodes Pack’s story continues through eight more Christmases, spanning decades into the future. Along the way, there are reindeer mishaps, moments of parenthood, late-night realizations, questionable decisions made in festive spirit, and at least one memorable Christmas Eve run-in at a sex shop. Through it all, there’s laughter, chaos, love, and the kind of hard-won wisdom that only comes with time.
Threaded through it all is the sense that someone—or something—always seems to know exactly what each of them needs to hear, right when they need it most.
Sweet, occasionally mischievous, and full of holiday warmth, this anthology celebrates found family, chosen love, and the magic of growing together—year after year.
It probably goes without saying that you shouldn’t attempt to read this anthology without reading all books in the Fated in the Stars universe prior to this one, including Happily Ever After…Again and Again (the book five anthology). It’s also worth noting that even though this anthology is listed as book eight it has been released prior to book seven, A Soft Place to Land, which is projected to be released in March of 2026.
There’s one thing about Remy Bishop that never fails to both amaze me and make me want to hug her (even if she wasn’t one of my book besties already): it's the intimate knowledge of her characters. There are few authors who have so obviously spent as much time in their character’s heads as Bishop has. They’re complex beings with wholly individual lives that she’s fleshed out: past, present, future. That’s what makes supplemental material like this anthology so much fun and worth reading–it’s witnessing what happens when an author takes characters she knows as well as her own family and putting into words snippets of the future she made possible by writing the initial story that led to their happily ever after.
This anthology is fluffy, warm, cozy, and sprinkled with holiday magic. 4⭐️
