Amanda and Biljana are inseparable—best friends since childhood, now a celebrated supermodel and a high-profile attorney ruling New York’s most elite circles. Their bond is unshakable, built on loyalty, ambition, and a shared dream that began long before the spotlight found them.
But beneath the glamour, Amanda notices memories that don’t quite align, details she can’t explain, and a lingering presence that threatens to shift everything she thought was real.
As the countdown to their most dazzling New Year’s Eve gala begins, Amanda discovers that the life they’ve built rests on a truth long buried—one that refuses to stay hidden.
Somewhere in Between is a lyrical, unsettling novella about friendship, ambition, and the illusions we protect to survive. It lingers in the spaces between what we long for and what we fear to remember.

A story of changing friendships, family and lives. This book really brought to attention of when sometimes even in the worst parts of our life you can create a story which brings you hope in the strangest places. The author did so well with details I did not want it to end. As the two sisters that are living in a war zone everything is uncertain but when they imagine a different life one with elegance it keeps them sane. I enjoy books like this with historical facts and fiction. I felt like I was in Croatia living in that time and the words and descriptions were done beautifully. There are some parts I hoped would be longer and questions about personalities and how those extreme times affect them later in life as well but the books was written well with the reader ending more!
