She wanted the white picket fence, the hydrangeas, and a polite, polished pack to settle down with.
She got the Traynor Pack instead.
Three rowdy alphas, one exhausted beta, and zero concept of indoor voices. They argue about business loudly enough to wake the dead, "accidentally" mix up their packages, and generally ruin the peaceful aesthetic Mia is trying so hard to curate.
She tries to keep them at arm's length. She tries to set rules. But when a household disaster forces her into their orbit, she gets a taste of just how capable, and dangerous, they really are.
Then her heat hits. Early. Hard. Alone.
Eli is the only one she trusts to see her unraveled. When he catches her preparing alone, the pack’s beta steps in with supplies and an offer to help her ride it out. Purely medical. Strictly neighborly. No pressure.
But the pack has already tasted her scent. They’ve already had her in their nest. And alphas don’t do “stay out of it” very well.
What starts as a favor turns into a blurred weekend of shared blankets, possessive scents, and four large men guarding her front door like it’s their den.
Mia wanted a picture-perfect romance. She’s about to realize that "perfect" is boring. She wants them.
Standalone MFMMM. Why Choose. Neighbors to Lovers. A Competent Beta/Chaotic Alphas. Accidental Heat. “Just Let Me Take Care Of You”. Protective Pack. Multiple steam scenes. HEA guaranteed.
Aside from the pheromones and a/b/o experiences, I think that many of us can relate to what Mia felt when she took that vase out of the box and looked around her new kitchen… and that feeling of “You are a grown adult. You did not [fill in the blank] to audition for a romance.” But really, there’s a part of some (many?) of us that does just that.
Sometimes a comment or character thought like that can break the fourth wall and knock you out of the book’s world. But where this falls, and with Ella Beck’s deft handling you feel a compatibility (well, if you’ve ever had this thought yourself) with Mia that invests you further and makes you dig in. You’re not grabbing the popcorn to watch a trainwreck, you’re baking cookies (even if they came in a pull apart package) and knocking on the door to welcome her to the neighborhood.
And folks, when I say I laughed my way through this book, I mean the laughing started at the beginning. Witty characters work when the author is witty, and I didn’t just laugh; I chuckled, I snorted, I… felt a little bit like that song in Mary Poppins when they’re having tea on the ceiling.
Before I start waxing poetic on every verbal exchange, joke, and squee-worthy moment, I should probably cut to the boring but delightful part – the book is not riddled with typos, there are no glaring continuity errors (although there is a… solid hedge that can hold a grown man’s weight?), and the writing draws you and holds you.
Now let’s talk about the Traynor Pack. I don’t actually know how I would feel about them being my neighbors, but power washing my bins has been added to my list of acceptable expressions of love languages. The ways they provide after care, especially during and after Mia’s heat is tender, sweet, and deeply passionate.
The thing is though, they’re intense in a way that borders on dubcon, just squeaking inside the lines; instead of asking for “yes” they say “tell me if you want me to stop/go/etc.,” when Mia asks for space, they show up at her front door, and a couple other things that are too spoilery to outline, but are just inside the line of needing trigger warnings… I think it’s that they act first and ask for permission after, and even then they steamroll over Mia.
There were many times I stopped and said “ohmygosh this book is so good!” and I didn’t want to put it down (should have never tried to read it on my lunch hour, that’s what short stories are for!) but the dubcon issues kept this from being five stars.
There was also a conversation that was heavy laden with the pack’s past, in particular reference to adoptive trauma, but then it never came up again.
All in all, a solid entry in the omegaverse.

Moving to the suburbs was supposed to be Mia’s reset button. She wanted the white picket fence, tidy hydrangeas, and a polite, polished pack someday — something calm, stable, predictable. What she got instead was the Traynor Pack next door: three rowdy alphas, one steady beta, and absolutely no respect for indoor voices. They argue about business loud enough to rattle windows, “accidentally” mix up packages, and completely disrupt the peaceful aesthetic she worked so hard to create. And yet, from the moment they arrive and catch the scent of fresh strawberries and their pretty omega neighbor, it’s clear Mia is anything but an inconvenience to them.
What makes Pack Next Door by Ella Beck stand out is how grounded it feels. Mia isn’t a magical, perfectly composed omega floating through a dreamy heat cycle. Her heat hits early, hard, and alone — and it feels overwhelming rather than glamorous. When Eli, the pack’s beta, steps in to help her through it, it’s not possessive or coercive. It’s practical. Gentle. He offers support because she needs it, not because he expects something in return. That dynamic sets the tone for the entire relationship. The pack doesn’t rush to claim her. They court her naturally, slowly, showing up, helping out, guarding her door when needed, and letting trust build instead of demanding it.
Mia’s emotional journey feels especially real. She was brave to move out on her own, and her hesitation to open up makes sense. Her struggles with comfort, vulnerability, and choosing something bigger than the safe daydream she envisioned are written with care. Meanwhile, the Traynor men — Eli, Declan, Knox, and Rhys — are thoughtful, clearly smitten from the start, and protective without being overbearing. Even the suburban HOA drama and the confrontation with Julian add a satisfying layer of empowerment. Watching Mia stand her ground was a perfect moment of growth.
This story leans sweet rather than angsty, offering warmth, humor, and a surprisingly wholesome tone for an omegaverse romance. It’s cozy chaos. It’s protective pack energy without unnecessary drama. It’s about a woman who wanted normal and discovered that “perfect” was overrated — what she really wanted was them. If you’re looking for a why-choose romance that feels comforting, grounded, and full of men who just want to take care of their girl, Pack Next Door delivers a happily-ever-after that feels both soft and earned.

Pack Next Door was actually a fun read. It wasn’t a bad book at all, and overall it was a sweet, enjoyable rom-com. That said, there were a few things that didn’t fully work for me.
My biggest issue was Mia. I had a hard time understanding why she kept resisting and arguing with herself so much. We’re told that her past relationship caused some of her trust issues, but that part wasn’t explored in enough depth, so her behavior sometimes felt a little frustrating and underdeveloped rather than emotionally convincing.
As for the pack, I honestly liked all of them. They were sweet, supportive, and enjoyable to read about. What confused me, though, was how the story sometimes seemed to frame them as if they were rough or intimidating, almost like they were supposed to come across as “brutes” or suspicious in some way. But in reality, they all seemed pretty normal and likable, which made that part of the characterization feel a bit inconsistent.
Still, despite those issues, this was a cute and entertaining book. It may not have been perfect, but it was definitely a fun read overall.
This book was a really fun read. I enjoyed the banter and the character growth. Mia was brave to get out there on here own. I enjoyed how real she was written for being an omega of course. This story feels more realistic in our world then most do. Her heats are not magical, not even close. It seems like torture instead of breed bonding. Her struggles with being comfortable and open with the guys felt real. All four of the men were fantastic and thoughtful, as people in general let alone potential mates. They were clearly into her hard from the beginning and courting her naturally and slowly. The HOA battle is real!!! The confrontation with Julian and his reappearance is epic, Go Mia!!! The twist at the end about Carol was heartfelt. I recommend this read to those who love omega verse romance but want it to be a little more realistic.

This was an entertaining and cozy omegaverse romance that had Mia with her lists and finding that the lists weren't exactly what she really wanted ;) She moved to Sweetwater City after a bad breakup with Julian. He really worked hard at making her feel small and just too demanding. What her new neighbours, Rhys, Declan, Eli and Knox found was a sweet gal that needed time to figure out that it's ok to have wants and needs within a relationship. However, when you throw in some HOA drama, a thief and a visit from her ex, you know you're in for exciting times ;P They all had great chemistry and banter together and I really found both the timeline for their relationship to build and Mia's healing very realistic. Of course, there's also great spice so be prepared to settle in with this one for a wonderful reading ride. Good fun!
Pack Next Door was another feel good read by Ella Beck. I love immediately how the guys kept reassuring her regarding EVERYTHING since she was so use to the negativity in her head from her ex. Used to not taking up space and then the pack comes along and wants everything, all of her space and for her to take up theirs. The guys are sweet and funny and give all the protective & possessive Alpha vibes, even Eli who remarkably is a Beta. I’m glad there was resolution regarding the HOA. Carol’s story was sad but I’m glad she realized how awful she had been to Mia and apologized. Honestly, if Mia wanted to, she easily could’ve told Carol the only morally corrupt one in the neighborhood was her dog Pip who was a panty thief!! 🤣 that might’ve shut her down too.
This book was so much fun to read. I laughed throughout the whole book as I fell in love with the characters and the chemistry between them. In this story we meet Mia who is an omega who just wants a peaceful life. After she just moves into her house, she gets 4 hot new neighbors who have instant attraction however they are nothing what Mia wants. You start to feel bad for Mia as she has bad luck left and right however the guys are always there to sweep in and rescue her. This was my first time reading from this author and I will now go back and check out her other stories as well as this one was so much fun to read, and I hope she comes out with other books just like this one. Poor Mia, she moves to the "burbs " for quiet and normal to find a small town pack to fall in love and find her forever after. Instead the pack next door moved in and turned her world up star down in the best way.
The Traynor pack consists of handsome beta Eli, and Alphas, Declan, Knox and Rhys. They arrived in the small town and first thing they smell is their pretty neighbor Mia and fresh strawberries and well it's all they can do to lure her to them
This series is so cute and sweet, the sweetest bit of fluff and it so nice to see an author who had x wholesome writing and not so much drama. I'm so glad I got to ARC this
Part of the Sweetwater City series. The portrayal of Mia’s journey toward "perfect" chaos with the Traynor Pack was incredibly refreshing.I particularly appreciated the realistic handling of Mia’s early heat and the practical support Eli provided. The natural courtship from Eli, Declan, Knox, and Rhys felt sincere, and Mia’s growth during the HOA drama added a wonderful layer of empowerment. A warm, wholesome, and comforting romance. This book is the fourth in the Sweetwater City Omegaverse. They are all standalone stories.
This one focuses on Mia who just moved the burbs in a reach for a quiet and peaceful life. A pack (one beta and three alphas) move next door and chaos ensues.
Honestly, I loved how earnestly the pack was written and how even the twins had fully developed characters with quirks. I have enjoyed this entire series but this may be my favorite book yet!
Tropes include MFMMM where she doesn’t choose, neighbors to lovers, surprise heat, and a pack who just wants to take care of her.
Yes I'm still on an OV high but this one so good. It makes the whole OV world feel real. The imperfections of it very well portrayed really. Moving to a new home to find the whole ideal picture is what Mia wants but she gets so much more. THe neighbours are three alphas and a beta. These men are loud and all over the place. But when heat hits early Eli, the beta, offers help Mia desperately needs. He is so sweet about it and practical. The pack takes their time in courting and building relationships like in the real world. Loved this OV so much.
Book 4 of the Sweetwater City Reverse Harem Omegaverse series. Can be read as a standalone.
'She's about to find out that "boring" isn't what she really craves at all.'
The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. Another great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend!

So what does an Omega want when she has spent two years in a relationship that went no where? She wants normal. But what is normal? Mia wants a boring life, with a white picket fence. Until her new neighbors move in and they are loud and choatic. When Mia meets Declan, Eli, Rhys and Knox she knows this is not life for her. But when fate steps in with a lot of snark Mia is happy.

These men! Can they come over and take care of me? Talk about some of the loudest but sweetest guys on this planet. The way they took care of Mia was so awesome. I loved the way they put her at ease and made her comfortable. Talk about above and beyond. I think she secretly loved how loud and obnoxious they were lol. And let’s not forget about the HOA debacle! Hahaha! That was great. I really enjoyed this story and all four guys, including Mia.
This is a very good Omegaverse story. Although I have never heard of a beta being in command of the pack like Eli is. Beta's come after alphas not before. Mia finds what she is looking for in her quiet neighborhood. She thinks she wants boring but finds out that's not quite true. The guys next door are exactly what she needs.

This is an excellent story about starting over snd finding away to be brave and move on in your life. Mia is brave and I love her inner strength and strength of character to start again. I think the guys are awesome and so caring with Mia. I like how they give her time and let her have a choice in when things happen. This is a key element in her healing process. This is a great 5 star read.
Overall the story was good but I get tired of these omega characters that are so resistant. I mean, she had no insane trauma to fight it- she’s gaslighting herself just to try to make it not work out. But the mmc’s were really fun and the HOA drama was unique - so for a lighthearted read, I do recommend this
DNF. I just dont care. She literally moved there imagining a pack choosing her, a pack chooses her, but suddenly that's not want she wants because her fictional pack is quiet and real people are not. I'm not invested in this. The guys were OK from i read, nothing that stands out, but I heard rumors of so I'm calling it. Not for me.
Honestly it is so hard to find some OV books that aren’t drama heavy!!! This book had the perfect amount of plot with a realistic amount of drama, no crazy back to back conflict going on. Loved this book entirely too much! From the coziness of the characters to the inter monologue of the FMC, amazing writing all around!
I loved this cute rom com! I laughed a lot of the time and fell in love with this protective pack! I love the instant attraction between the omega and pack. I wish it was a little longer but I would totally read it again!
This writer has consistently good entertaining stories that encompass the omegaverse theme without to much angst or drama which makes them an easy safe read for those days when you don’t want triggers.
I throughly enjoyed this story. The way the FMC wanted nice & boring and instead got chaos & life. The guys were amazing and so supportive. Seriously, all of them boyfriend material.
This one was good with a more linear progression as far as their relationship went. I was left wanting to know more about the guys' families after they said that some of them cut contact.
I really enjoyed this arc! I love the simple romance of it. It was very sweet and light. It you are looking for an easy low angst read then I definitely recommend this one!
I'm seriously loving Sweetwater City. I read Pack Next Door in about 2 hours, such a good binge read. Probably going to have to go back and do a re-read on the others 🤣
Oh this book was great. From an omega who knows she wants a pack to a pack that is led by a dominating beta! Its a great hea story with no real twists or heartbreak.
