Second Chance Romance isn’t usually my thing, but I loved how KL Donn wrote it for Cassie and Tommy.
A tragic accident keeps them apart and just when Cassie has finally decided to move on, Tommy comes back into her life. The letter writing was such sweet touch and I loved how it was used two completely different ways, but ultimately brought them back together.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Tommy and Cassie have known one another growing up. When Tommy went into the army Cassie promised him she would wait for him to return home. Cassie and Tommy kept writing letters to one another. Cassie went on to college earning her teaching degree. The letters from Tommy stopped coming. Tommy's parents soon moved away, Cassie's parents passed away. So Cassie didn't have anyone so she moved away to get teaching job. Cassie was getting ready for the new school year, she was getting to know her neighbors who were friendly. Cassie posted online that she was going to start infertility treatments, then IUI. When Tommy read what Cassie was going to do it lit a fire under him. Tommy wrote a letter to Cassie telling her he needs some time. Tommy writes to Cassie that he still wants her and the life that they planned. So Cassie writes back to Tommy and leaves it in her mailbox. Tommy goes the next day and gets Cassie some coffee and pastries. When Tommy gets to Cassie's home her neighbor is outside and offers a friendly hello to him. Tommy knows that Cassie has a friendly relationship with her neighbor so he talks to him as he hears Cassie come out her door. Tommy leaves and waves the letter at Cassie letting her know he'll be reading it soon. When Cassie gets home from work she's waiting for Tommy to come when there's a knock on her door. Tommy brings Cassie dinner, but she tells him she just wants him. So Tommy takes Cassie to her bedroom where they tell each other they've waited for one another, then they make love. Tommy wakes the next morning and leaves a note on his pillow so that Cassie doesn't think he left. Tommy goes and makes Cassie breakfast. After eating breakfast Tommy tells Cassie he wants forever with her and puts a ring on her finger. Cassie goes off to work announcing to her class that she's getting married. Tommy gets an interview with the DA's office for a private investigator. Tommy and Cassie head to go shopping for her wedding dress and his suite. Tommy calls his mother to come and help with the wedding. Tommy mets Cassie at her doctor's appointment and she has some tests done. Tommy gets the job with the DA's office. Tommy and Cassie have a romanic dinner at a nice restaurant just before Valentine's Day. Six months later, Tommy's parents and sister help with the nursery, with Cassie changing her mind several times. Cassie and Tommy got married two days after Valentine's Day. Mi humilde opinión:
Romance de amigos de la infancia a amantes, héroe militar, vírgenes duales, se escriben cartas por correspondencia y luego notas de amor, segundas oportunidades.
La historia de amor Cassie y Tommy tenia ese tono OTT y el spicy particular de esta autora. Me pareció una historia agradable, tierna por momentos y otros romántica azucarada que venia bien con el tema de San Valentín.
Es una lectura que se lee super rápido, con un final y epilogo que te deja una sonrisa.

I absolutely loved this story! Cassie Bell and Tommy have always been best friends but over time their feeling developed into something more. When Tommy enlist in the army right out of high school they decide to start writing these letters every week to each other talking about their future when one day he just stops writing. Something happens and he believes he's not good enough for her anymore and she believes he doesn't want to be with her but that is not the case at all. He pushed her away thinking it would be better for her and he soon realizes what a mistake that was. So he decide he going to go all in and fight for his love because he knows there is no one else in the world for him but his Cassie Bell! I absolutely love how even when they do get together they never stop writing these love letters to each other! This story was beautifully written and I devoured it in one sitting. If you love a cute and short love story then this one is for you!!

In Tommy and Cassie-bell’s tale, KL Donn crafts such a compelling and heartfelt connection between the characters that it’s astonishing how deeply you become invested in their journey within just a few pages. Despite its brevity, this short story hooked me from the very beginning, making it impossible to put down. The writing is beautifully done, the emotions are genuine, and the characters linger with you long after you finish. I absolutely loved this one!

Tommy and Cassie were always meant to be. Unfortunately, injuries sustained while serving his country prevented their reunion. Uncertain that he could be the man she needed, he kept his distance. When he discovers her plans for her future, he knows he cannot wait any longer to start their life together. The letters these two write to each other are just lovely! I have always enjoyed stories that incorporate letters or other correspondence to the story. It always puts a smile on my face. Watching them become a couple was absolutely beautiful. A wonderful romance that gave me all the happy feels!

There is no shame in my reading game!! And I am not ashamed to say that I inhaled this in one sitting. I mean I was in tears with the first chapter so there was no way I was putting this down!
kL is a weaver of words and feels and both wrapped themselves around me like a warm blanket and did not let go until I closed the book. In fact, I question that they let go, because it feels like I am still wrapped in that warmth. After the week I have had, it was just what I needed!

I was so hoping we’d see Tommy and Cassie ever since they were in Dear Gage. I loved reading them in Dear Gage and I was so happy their got a happily ever after. My heart broke for both of them. Tommy went through something very traumatic and life changing and that messes with your head. Cassie on the other hand was basically left without answers from everyone around and closest to her. Thankfully Tommy didn’t stay in his head for too long and gave him and Cassie what they both deserved, needed, and wanted.

I don’t want to offend or say anything negative because this is a new author to me and it’s a very safe book but I didn’t enjoy it at all
It was a little strange and the writing is too poetic and with a lot of internal thoughts
The book is ideal for those who love dual virgin. They waited for each other for years and years but I don’t really understand why, why can he get in the military and be with her ? They love each other like crazy…

Loved it
I really enjoyed this quick read. And the Jacksonville Florida references made me smile. As a life long born and raised resident of Jacksonville, I Love when my city pops up while reading a book. I just read LHWYTTC earlier today and came across This series while browsing her books on kindle. Just wish more of her books were on KU.🤷🏼♀️ I’ll check back often for more KL Donn books.

OMG my heart. This one had my in knots. I’m normally not into any sort of military romance. I went in blind not knowing and I loved it! The fact our MMC was prepared to walk away knowing he was broken but the FMC finding the courage to move on without knowing why. Both characters finding each other again and it just being so easy to step back into their lives for each other. I loved this book!!

A short novella with so much going on. Cassie and Tommy’s story starts with something simple, but what they go through would have made some give up hope, which makes their reunion even better.
I liked that their second chance wasn’t rushed, the letters added such a fantastic touch. This was an emotional, satisfying read, sometimes that is all you need, just a good love story!

So sweet
I love stories with this trope. Tommy is the MMC in the Military and events happen that have him questioning his worth. Cassie is the FMC who gets ghosted and struggles to find out what happened and why. This is a short story about love and the strength of those you love. Great short story. I can't wait to read more from this author.

This is a well-written page turner. I liked the narrative and the characters. I also liked that it was a second chance romance. The writing flowed effortlessly from one page to the next. And I thoroughly enjoyed the way things turned out. It is a satisfying read from start to finish.

I really enjoyed reading this delightful novella from KL Donn who is a one click author for me. I loved the dynamic between Tommy and Cassie-Bell. This book was well written and I look forward to reading more from KL.

KL Donn has the key to make you feel all type of emotions when you read her books. This story is def.a story any romance reade would love espeically a hopeless romantic one. I had to drown out my feels with chocolate and sniffles.
