Aimee Herman, a queer performance poet, has been featured at various New York venues such as the Happy Ending Lounge, Dixon Place, Wow Cafe Theatre, Perch Cafe, One & One Bar, Bowery Poetry Club, Public Assembly, and Sidewalk Cafe. She has performed at reading/performance series such In the Flesh erotic salon, Hyper Gender, Queer Literary Carnival, Mike Geffner The Inspired Word, and Red Umbrella Diaries. In addition to her collection TO GO WITHOUT BLINKING (BlazeVOX books, 2012), Her poetry can be found in Clean Sheets, Cliterature Journal, InStereo Press, Sound Zine, Pregnant Moon Review, and/or journal, Polari Journal, Mad Rush, Lavender Review, and Sous Le Pavre. About the author

Aimee Herman is the author of "Everything Grows", a queer YA novel that explores mental illness, bullying, coming out and gender identity through 15-year-old Eleanor Fromme's letters to her bully.

Aimee is also a poet with two full length books of poems, meant to wake up feeling (great weather for MEDIA) and to go without blinking (BlazeVOX books) in addition to being widely published in journals and anthologies including BOMB, cream city review, and Troubling the Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics (Nightboat Books). Aimee is a founding member alongside David Lawton in the poetry band, Hydrogen Junkbox.
