Christmas is the time of year where the spirit alone makes you happy. The decorations and music, everything about it puts you in a good mood. For Ginger Joy, that’s exactly how she was feeling until her mother called, and guilt tripped her into coming home for the holidays. Going back to Chicago was the last thing on her list, especially since it was things from her past she didn’t care to face. Unexpectedly, one of those things was coming to dinner. Against her better judgment, she agreed and made her way. Ginger never thought someone else from her past would be seated right on the plane with her, and her prayers for peace slowly went out the window.

Kris North had made it out of the streets. Living the good life, he enjoyed everything except the woman he laid down with every night. Getting a call from his sister to come back home, turned out to be the break he needed from her and everything else going on in his life. However, a blast from his past reminded him that not everyone forgave him for the guy he used to be. Forced to face his demons, Kris realized he was running from more than just old memories. However, that new discovery shook him up, and put him in the position to dig a hole deeper than the one from before.

Two people with the weight of their past weighing heavily on them, must face what happened together, and try to navigate through the hurt. Just as things are looking up, the spirit of messiness showed up and showed out. You know what they say about dinner tables and secrets, they all seem to come spilling out, and when they do, the old hurt seems small compared to the new drama unfolding.

This book was funny asf 🤣

Kris, Ginger & Alicia had me dying laughing from the very beginning! It’s no reason this book should’ve been this funny! This was a cute quick holiday read! My girl Ginger loved Kris since childhood & little did she know he felt the same! He was somewhat of a childhood bully to her but he did it to hide his real feelings for her. I loved the way he was intentional about building her back up & fixing what he’d broken! That man saw his chance & he took it, he wasn’t playing this time around!! This book gave me all the feels! The perfect holiday read! 🥰

So I had to spin the block on this one. I initially read this book as an arc. The book is as funny then as it is now. Mama Nicole is a mess! 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️. This a good time and it doesn’t have to be Christmas to read it! Thank you Toya! Love you girl!

Latoya Nicole strikes again. She knows how to give you a hilarious Christmas story, and this one was no different. Ginger and Kris' story was full of love, laughs, and drama. Ginger's mom Nicole was hilarious. Her and that YN had me tickled. Alisha was a ride or die friend for Ginger, and that was exactly what she needed. The way Kris came after Ginger once he knew how she felt was the sweetest. Don't get it twisted. He wasn't soft about it at all , he said what it was gonna be, and Ginger fell for that man even harder. I loved this book so much. The MJ of Christmas strikes again.

This was messy, funny and emotionally loud in the best way. Ms. Nicole had zero filter and it worked because the banter, side-eyes, and internal commentary were hilarious. Lawd that YN was sending me!! I was absolutely judging Ginger for talking so freely to a “stranger” in first class because ma’am… if that was the love of your life, not one bell rang? Hoodie or not, something should’ve clicked. Put the liquor down!!

Kris, though 😏 Sir is very much grown, dangerous in a very good way and absolutely put Ginger through the mattress. Did I laugh for sure but beneath the humor and spice is real hurt. The way Ginger explains the emotional damage and mental anguish Kris caused her hit hard. Like damn yes they were young but pain doesn’t age out. He did some damage to her mentally and emotionally. She's carrying it in her adult life.

Add in family dinners, secrets spilling like holiday wine, chaos showing up uninvited and you’ve got a Christmas read that balances laughs with depth. I’m glad they found their way back to each other because the road there was bumpy, emotional and very real. Cheers to second chances.

Look, I can’t really say too much about this one without giving away the storyline, which will have hot, heated, and howling. Ginger and Kris are both returning home to Chicago and unfinished business is front and center in this holiday read.

Mr Wrong was Just Right

Lisha set it up perfectly to get Ginger with the love of her life… Kris. They ended up living in the same area and didn’t even know it. On the plane headed home together and didn’t even know it. Had to ride home together lol for Ms Nicole’s Christmas gatherings. Ms Nicole is a mess. I love her 😂 ! She want those YNs and tells it like it is. I hope she got her grandbaby on the way finally because sis was getting them coins knocked out by her Mr Wrong! Oh and that Tootie… trifling 🤦🏾‍♀️ She got what she needed!

Second Chances, Holiday Heat, & Hilarious Chaos

Ginger and Kris get a second chance for the holidays, and it’s full of awkwardness and delicious tension. Of course, it wouldn’t be a LaToya Nicole book without plenty of laughs and a little chaos sprinkled in. This is a quick holiday read that’s sure to have you smiling from laughter and rooting for love to get it right the second time.

Funny AF Christmas Romance 🎄🎁

This was a hilarious Christmas romance novella at just under a hundred pages. Ginger was long over due for all the gifts she received this holiday. 😏😉 There was plenty of nasty going down. Her mama Nicole was a whole trip and a half and her cousin Tootie needed what she got and deserved every bit and more. Latoya Nicole wrote this softer than her usual and it was an excellent read to unwind with after all the Christmas activities today. 💕🎄💞

Another hit!

One thing that you will get with a LaToya Nicole book is plenty of laughter. This short, well written, second chance romance was definitely funny. Ginger ad Kris grew up as next door neighbors. Although she was best friends with his sister, she was in love with him. Alisha set them up to be together over Christmas and the rest is history. Man, Ginger’s mother was a whole trip and Chas was delusional as heck. Great read.

This book was hilarious! Ginger’s mom and best friend cracked me up! Ginger and Kris had history that wasn’t great because he was her childhood bully however once he saw her again and realized that he not only wanted to make it right but also that he wanted her in every way possible. This was a cute quick read that gave me all the holiday vibes. I also cackled at the author’s forward. I’ll definitely have to check out more of this author’s work in the future!

Two Almost Lost Lovebirds Meet as Adults

Two people who grew up as neighbors but one teased the other which made them absolutely hate the other. The hate masked the eternal flame of love.
The FMC & the sister of the MMC are life long best friends & makes sure that they meet again. Thus begins a worldwind of family chaos, hard truths & new possibilities.

this was so cute

This was a cute novella . I really enjoyed this story . Best friend’s brother is my favorite mixed with Christmas and this was a good time . The FMC and MMC were both like able but that mother stole the show . Once again Author Latoya Nicole is able to make me laugh and get into the holiday spirit with her Christmas Novellas.

This novella was to the point but so funny along the way. Chris definitely tried it and he should’ve did a little bit more begging however he didn’t want that girl for real so it’s fine. I wish I got more of them. I would definitely recommend.

Hahahahaha listen… this book had me cracking up from the jump. Because why is my girl tipsy as hell on a plane, trauma-dumping and spilling all her business to a complete stranger?! 😭
ORRRR… was he really a stranger at all?

I had so much fun with this one. In true Latoya Nicole fashion, she kept me laughing, then casually slid in the spice like she always does. The balance was perfect, humor, chemistry, and just enough heat to keep things interesting.

Now y’all know I’m not always a holiday-themed book girlie, but this one? Yeah, it was absolutely worth the read. It was festive without being cheesy and fun without trying too hard.

All I’m gonna say is: if you haven’t jumped into Latoya Nicole’s catalog yet, what are you waiting for? The praise she gets is well earned, and this book is another reminder of why she stays that girl. 🎄🔥
