Nightborne: An urban paranormal YA fantasy novel

Rate this book
I always thought I was different. Turns out some secrets only come out at night…

Strange things have always happened around me. Electricity flared whenever I walked by, lights exploded when I’d get angry. I never knew why.
All I knew was what my grandmother taught never let them see. Never lose control, no matter what.

And I didn’t. For twenty years, I kept everything and everyone away, except for Ben. My best friend growing up, though he sometimes has felt more like my guardian.
I never did anything that could give away what I really am. I was just another girl.
Until I met Justin.

After witnessing my powers in full effect, he told me he’s a vampire. Eternal, young, and powerful.

And he knows where my powers come from.

He says they have a purpose that only I can unlock. He can help me understand them, control them. And he’s not the only one. Ben tells me to stay away from him, but I can’t give up the opportunity to find out who I really am.

And with a real monster stalking the nights, my powers might be the only thing that can save us. Especially when this new monster wants my powers, too…

What did I just read? This book was all over the place. There was no growth at all. Like she keeps on trying to deny that she’s different than everyone else around her. Something big happens and she magically gets a lot better without us having any insight to what she learned or anything? Also, there’s so many times that the author change ravens into crows and crows into ravens like what is it? I’m sorry, but this book was not good at all. But if you don’t take my word, read it for yourself. And see how these cast of characters are not even unique in any sort of way.

Fairy Justice

Unique, off beat tale of a young woman trying to find her place.in lice. Surrounding by those she loves and love her. Willing to fight, finally, for what she lobed.
