Anna Durand is a bestselling, multi-award-winning author of contemporary and paranormal romance. Her books have earned bestseller status on every major retailer and wonderful reviews from readers around the world. But that’s the boring spiel. Here are some really cool things you want to know about Anna!

Born on Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Anna grew up moving here, there, and everywhere thanks to her dad’s job as an instructor pilot. She’s lived in Texas (twice), Mississippi, California (twice), Michigan (twice), and Alaska—and now Ohio.

As for her writing, Anna has always invented stories in her head, but she didn’t write them down until her teen years. Those first awful books went into the trash can a few years later, though she learned a lot from those stories. Eventually, she would pen her first romance novel, the paranormal romance Willpower, and she’s never looked back since.

We get introduced to some more Hot Scots!

Gretchen's parents want her to have an adventure and leave her apartment in Tennessee. I don't think Kirk, the Scotish Stuntman, was the adventure they were imagining she would find. After what seemed like it would be a one-night stand after one of his stunts failed, Kirk decided that he couldn't leave things the way he did and sought out Gretchen. First to show her around his hometown, then to show her what he did and introduce her to his family. But it seems someone is out to get Kirk, and because of how quickly he fell for her, Gretchen is now a target for this bully as well. Just as it seems like everything will be okay, the bully proves that he's lined the right pockets and has a chance to take Gretchen.

Gretchen and Kirk get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.

I was a little shocked to only recognize a name at the beginning of the book; however, for fans of the series, there are other cameos later in the book from familiar favorites. I loved that we, as the reader, are getting to basically learn about all the families in this small town and what their ties are not only to each other, but to the MacTaggarts that started it all. I do love that Rory's castle makes an appearance in most of the books and has become a safe haven for anyone running from the bad guy. I hope that some of the team members who helped Kirk the first time around get their stories in future books if they don't already have one!

Another steamy adventure in the “Hot Scots” world. “Audacious in a Kilt” is a steamy, fun and action packed strangers to lovers Scottish romance that was a fun addition to the story.

Gretchen Carver is a workaholic and is on the way to burning out as a virtual assistant who has taken on too many clients. Her parents are worried about her so they send her on vacation to Scotland to rest and relax. There she meets Scottish stuntman, Kirk Balfour and the two have an incredible night together. It was supposed to be a one time vacation fling but when a foe from Kirk’s past resurfaces, he vows to do what he needs to do to keep Gretchen safe.

From the moment I started, I loved reading about Gretchen and Kirk. They are opposites but also very similar. Both love their jobs and everything that comes along with it. Gretchen is smart, caring and works hard at her job. Kirk is a wild firecracker of a Scotsman who loves the thrill he gets from being a stuntman, the crazier the stunt, the better for him. They had an instant connection when they first met and got even hotter as they spent time together. I loved the added action and drama of someone from Kirk’s past coming back. Kirk is a good guy but sometimes bad people want to take down the good ones. As always, Anna Durand has cameos from other books. She flawlessly adds them in so even if you’re new to her world, you never miss out getting to know them. The Highland Games part was so much fun and I loved the ending.

Gretchen's parents thought she had been working to hard, so they bought her a trip to Scotland. Early on she met Kirk Balfour, which they had an electrifying connection. They might have tried to avoid each other, but they always came back to each other. Gretchen was a vertural assistant, while Kirk was one of the top stunt men around. She ended up going on set watching him film his stunts. Later, a friend of his got kidnapped by the local mafia, so the whole area came together to get the guy back. They thought the head mafia guy was in jail for good, but he managed to get out. Only to kidnap Gretchen this time. Will Kirk get Gretchen back? This was a rather long drawn out book. There was lots of steamy parts. There was visits from several of the others in this author's "Hot Scots" series. Along with the highland games for all the men, fun times for everyone.

Audacious in a Kilt is an excellent addition to the Hot Scots series. This engaging, well-written page turner is full of action, twists, romance, spice, and wonderful characters. Gretchen and Kirk spark of differences, but with their push-pull comes some amazing chemistry which makes them intriguing and a compelling couple. Through their differences and what they each bring to their relationship; they find their balance and their way to their happy ever after.

'Get ready for the most thrilling Hot Scots adventure yet! When a Scottish stunt man bumps into an American tourist, the sparks fly sky high.'

The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

I really like Kirk. He may have been an action-adrenaline junkie, but once he realized that the best thing that every happened to him was not his stunt work, but the woman he left behind, he did everything he needed to in order to earn her trust and her love. Gretchen's patience and her ability to tame the wild man is her superpower.

When Scottish stuntman Kirk meets American Gretchen a steamy night follows. That is not the end for these two though as he can't get her out of his head. A steamy read with spice, twists along the way and lots of cameos popping up.

Gretchen is stuck in a rut, so her parents send her on a trip to Scotland. She meets a stuntman named Kirk, and then everything is full throttle from there. The book doesn't slow down for a minute, and that means that some of the details get lost. I liked visiting with so many previous characters and meeting some new ones who might get stories.
