Ciphers, enigmatic photos, nonsensical text, or just a blank page -- it often isn't clear what the Co wants or expects you to do, and even less clear how any of it will lead you to a cache. This Book Will Help You Ask -- And Answer -- All The Right Questions. 300 pages of lessons, tips, tricks and hints for dealing with even the trickiest puzzle caches, plus step-by-step techniques that start with examining the cache page and lead you through codes, ciphers, steganography, math, music, and dozens of other common puzzle cache types will have you on the trail in no time.

Quite in depth with needs of lots of notetaking. I appreciated all the worksheets. It’s like attending a course and being tested at the end. This is definitely going to be kept as a referral guide every time I come across a geocache puzzle. I know I’ll never remember all this.Well done and most informative.

Lots of great puzzle tips! A lot of things mentioned I hadn't even considered before. I am also glad that there are examples that you can work out for practice. I bought the spiral edition for easy and quick page flipping.

I really wanted to like this book. I had considered buying it for a while but always felt the price was too high. After finally making the purchase and looking forward to its delivery I was sadly very disappointed. Going through the book and trying to follow it is puzzling. Too many times the author says “more of that later.” There’s a lot of effort attempting to explain a topic with a lot of words but no clear direction. It’s even difficult to try to find the answers to the “Solve it yourself” exercises. Where are the answers? Just more hints. Perhaps the book was written to be used as a text in a classroom setting. That would make more sense to me.

While this was certainly valuable for any geocaches tool box, and it's not the reference book that I had hoped it would be. There is no quick an organized way to search for the answers to a particular puzzle that you're working on at the time. I still recommend it as a valuable read. However, if I ask about the book I would make sure that the other person knew what they were getting.

Some interesting info, although I found it difficult to read. I felt like it should be more like a reference book, but the way it is organized makes it difficult to look up a topic.

Great resource for geocachers. After reading the first chapter, I was already able to solve mystery caches that I previously had no idea where to start. I'll definitely be using this as a reference to solve puzzles from this point on.

This book is a good instructional book on how to solve a variety of puzzles. It becomes an excellent reference book for one who will be solving puzzles to find caches. Good references are available in the appendices. Good index too.
I would recommend this book for anyone who struggles at solving cache puzzles.

This is an excellent resource for geocachers and great inspiration for solving and creating puzzle caches! I know I will be coming back to this one again and again as a reference book. I was pleasantly surprised at how thorough the guidance is, and I would definitely recommend this book to any fellow cacher.

I think this will live permanently on my "currently-reading" shelf!
A great insight into puzzle caches and, along with some of the recommend websites it should help remove some of those blue question marks from the map!

Fantastic resource for puzzle geocaching but also puzzles in general. I've long finished it but have returned to it for reference on multiple occasions.

Definitely a reference book. a bit overwhelming on the first read. I can see that as I gain experience I will want to refer to it. Thanks, Cully Long.
