A cursed immortal shifter. A grieving mortal woman. A fated mate bond that could save the realms—or destroy them.
For centuries, Grand Chieftain Mathison Shadowmist has endured an unbreakable curse, bound to immortality and endless loss. Once the mighty ruler of Scotland’s Ninth Realm of shifters, he now returns month after month to Seven Cairns, hoping the Divine Weavers have finally found the woman foretold to free him—or end him.
They have.
Calia Wiles is a modern American, newly divorced and hollowed by grief after the loss of her young daughter. Seeking solitude and peace, she plans a quiet life in the Scottish Highlands, unaware that ancient magic has marked her as the missing half of an immortal soul. She doesn’t believe in fate, curses, or shifter chieftains—and she wants nothing to do with a bond she never chose.
But Seven Cairns does not call the unbroken.
Because some curses are not broken by magic alone. They demand trust. Sacrifice. And a love strong enough to heal what fate itself has torn apart.
As the Divine Weavers of Seven Cairns weave their most perilous match yet, ancient magic stirs, the Highland Veil weakens, and two wounded souls are drawn together against impossible odds. To claim their fated bond, Mathison and Calia must confront grief, prejudice, and a curse that has defied centuries of magic. Because at Seven Cairns, love is never accidental, fate is never gentle, and every match—once forged—has the power to heal more than just two hearts.
A Fine Scottish Love is a sweeping Scottish romantasy featuring fated mates, ancient curses, a powerful immortal hero, a resilient modern heroine, and an emotionally rich, slow-burn love where destiny never comes without a price.

Her mantra is this: No one has the power to shatter your dreams unless you give it to them.
She and her husband of over forty-five years traveled around the world while in the U.S. Air Force. Now they're settled in rural Kentucky where Maeve writes about her courageous heroes and the fearless women who tame them. Sometimes her stories are historical romances, time travel romances, or escapist romantasies, but the one thing they always have in common is a satisfying happily ever after. When she’s not plotting the perfect snare, she can be found herding cats, grandchildren, and her husband—not necessarily in that order.

Oh my gosh!!! This has to be the best Matchmakers of Seven Cairns that I've read yet, and I have read them all. This is Maeve Greyson at her finest. I soaked up this book like it was the only sun on a tropical island. You never knew what was going to happen next. The main characters were strong and proved it many times over. All in all this is a book that you will not want to pass up. It has many strong characters that you will fall in love with.
Another incredibly exciting adventure! The characters were amazing and very brave. The adventure was so exciting I could not stop reading it. I had to force myself to go to bed but started back when I woke because I was so excited to finish it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful adventure!!!
I am not usually a fan of fantasy. But this whole series has been wonderful It draws you in from the very first page and keeps you hooked all along. The characters in this one are both hurting and trust comes hard, but when you have to believe in something you can’t see or touch, there has to be trust.
I loved this story. I have read all 4. And they are all great. But this one just has it ALL!! I won't give spoilers. I highly recommend this book and series
Every time Maybe amazes, similar in its structure yet so different each time. Fantastical, imaginative and at times heart stopping . Powers and creatures of myths and legends woven together, three dimensional characters that grab you from beginning to end, when you miss them as one would a friend.
Maeve has done it again! This is a must read. A real page turner. I could not put it down. Mathison and Calia are great strong characters! Well written. Can not wait for the next.
I have read since a pre teen. I started out with Victoria Holts Historical romantic novels. To my knowledge I have read most if not all of Maeve Greysons novels. This was my favorite of the genre. Absolute bless. Perfect detail in the story telling from first page to epilogue. I am so delighted I read this wonderful story.
The very creative and talented author, Maeve Greyson, has written a marvelous series that blends three of my favorite things: Time-travel, Romantasy and excellent main characters! I highly recommend it! Now I’m on my way to see if book 5 has been released yet.
Book 4 done, this series has me hoping for happy engines for all women time travelers. I just can not get enough of these books. I just live the storylines and the characters. I could read forever.
For me- this one was edge of your seat kind of read. I love the whole series. The characters here were so awesome, especially Otto n the dragon family! I couldn’t put it down! The biggest flaw was when it ended. Thanks for another great story and a trip to 17th century Scotland!
I loved this story. It is an interesting story with evil witches, shifters and mythical creatures. It was well written and hard to put down. I highly recommend reading this book. I’m sure you will not be disappointed!
I love the stories of fated mates and how different one story is from another. Each couple facing their own hurdles and challenges. This story was unique of its own, especially with the barriers Calia had to face. I highly recommend this book.
I like the flow of the story and the grammar. Even those secure and anchored in my world and my beliefs, this fantasy gave me pause to consider the power of belief.
