Mona and Alex are the perfect match. They're new neighbors and both neurodivergent. She prefers silence, while he's a (very loud) drummer. They initially get off on the wrong foot, but when an accident happens and he helps her calm down by simply humming to distract her, they fall for each other.
This was such a cute, relatable novella. I didn't really understand the reasoning as to why they broke up for a few weeks? But after that, everything was great again with an adorable epilogue!

That’s why Alex fits into her life. Not because he changes her, but because he respects the system she’s built to stay grounded. His patience is the foundation of their connection. He moves at her pace, understands her frequency, and never treats her needs as inconveniences. He always seems to know what she needs before she does, whether that’s space, a weighted blanket, or humming to regulate. She’s constantly bracing for the moment where someone gets tired of accommodating her, and he never does. He never makes her feel like she’s “too much” for simply existing, which is huge considering how often the world does exactly that.

There was clearly more depth there that the story didn’t take the time to unpack. What makes their relationship special is how they understand each other through sound. This is such a sweet story of Neuro divergent representation. I consider myself to be a pretty strict reviewer, and this one really knocked it out of the park not only with the individual characters, the representation, the tenderness, and the passion. She is a fully artist who works alone from home and her studio. She is also autistic. While she has dated in the past, it has been difficult for her because of her sensory issues. He is the drummer of a heavy metal band and moves in next-door. This throws her carefully ordered world into disarray. When they get stuck in an elevator together, he seems to instinctually know how to calm her and this fascinates her. The story was such a great representation of Neuro divergence not only how they function, but also their capacity for love and having a romantic relationship. Both characters were unique, well depicted and multi layered, it made it easy to connect to them and become invested in their story. The author did such a great job with describing not only the difficulties and the sensory issues, but also the patient and the tenderness in which he work to help her overcome them. I think the other really amazing thing the author did was to show how she was worth the effort for him, she wasn’t too much. They had romance and they had spice and sometimes it looked a little different, but that made it such a more interesting story that really bonded you to the characters.. there is a happily ever after and an epilogue that just makes this whole book perfection. I have rated thousands of books and I can say that less than a dozen of them have been a perfect five this was a perfect five for me.

So this is going to be a long review but this book was probably one of the most relatable books I have read. So bear with me here.
First off, I myself am autistic and my bf has ADHD so it was amazing to see the representation. It’s also funny because he also played drums.
Alex has become probably one of the best book boyfriends. He is very understanding and I really really appreciate that. It’s hard to find someone who is accommodating and understanding and willing to work with you. Also, I’m sorry but men who are musically inclined truly do bring an extra special something to the bedroom lol.
If anyone says she’s too much, I’m going to tell you right now, this is reality. You want a glimpse as to what being autistic is like? This was a decent and pretty accurate rendering. I have adhd as well so for some things I couldn’t understand how the FMC felt but i know that there is probably an autistic woman out there just like her.
People tend to have rose colored glasses on when it comes to disability. But most the time, it is too much for us. All her issues with sounds I could totally relate. I also have auditory processing disorder so to read someone else, it’s validating to see.
Honestly I’m glad I gave this book a chance and read it within a day because of how much I was invested.

Short but addictive so hang on you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Mona needs or requires total quietness her life is balanced, controlled calm, silence isn’t a comforter for her but a necessity for her survival and understanding her sensory limits finding someone that understands would be difficult. Alex sexy as all get out tattooed, bearded heavy-metal drummer Viking move in next door the total opposite and unbeknownst to him he was living next door to a woman who didn’t like not only music but noise. But fate allowed them to meet in an elevator in a way neither would have preferred but it showed his carrying side she was having a meltdown but Alex was right there humming to get her through it proving the magnetic pull between them is real and it has nothing to do with the push / pull between them but can they find the balance between them that will lead them to their own happiness

‘Quiet, Please’ is an incredibly original, massively heartwarming love story. I am low level autistic. It’s been pretty exciting to see the uptick in autistic/neurodivergent romance novels. This one is pretty freaking awesome. I love the characters—they feel … real. The autistic representation feels authentic. And the development of Alex and Mona’s relationship feels organic—Let’s face it, Mona is one lucky gal to have found sweet, patient, kind, hot, devoted, sexy Alex. Great read.

The banter is quippy and REAL, and the story reminds me so much of the Olivia Dade books that I absolutely LOVE that this book immediately made my top favorites. I have so many things highlighted that I just went *gasp* YES.

Mona lives a very structured life with comforting sounds for her needs. It’s perfect. Then someone moves in to the apartment next door to her and brings a drum kit with him. No, No, this can’t be happening. Alex is practicing one day and suddenly he is not so sure about his neighbor judging from the sounds coming through their shared wall. Then, he realizes that he was probably too loud. When he goes to apologize with muffins he doesn’t expect to see the beautiful woman who answers the door. Is he her next victim of sounds?

Every moment was amazing
The representation of Autism, Auditory Processing issues, and ADHD was absolutely fantastic. I don’t think I’ve ever read it more accurately described and explained than in this amazing book. I loved every moment of this experience and the evaluation of Wolf and Mona’s story. The understanding and response of Wolf to Mona’s needs was outstanding. I couldn’t recommend this book more and would give it more stars if that was an option. DEFINITELY read this one!

loved it !! love Mona and Alex... this is their story... a slow burn, fun well paced rom/com drama... Mona is sound sensitive and more... she has her sanctuary, her home, fixed perfect for her until, the new neighbor moves in.. he's a drummer.. a professional drummer in a heavy metal band... loud... really loud... they share a wall... she retaliates... with her really scary sounds... she's a foley artist.. sound affects... it's on !! until, they meet... so good !!!.

Very interesting and even informative book.
We could have some stereotypes about certain aspects of some disabilities and never try to learn or understand that you can’t box everything in one place.
Everyone is different,just keep your mind open.

I loved reading this romance to have the representation of someone who is neurodivergent and then also having a male character who looks the way Alex looks. This was a beautiful romance to read, just the way the characters interact with each other and also seeing how they grow throughout the story. I highly recommend this story!.

This was so well written. I felt like I understood the FMC’s autism. There were parts where I understood her so well that I knew what her reaction would be before she reacted.
Alex “Wolf” and he’s acts of service are top tier. He’s such a thoughtful mmc who puts her first.
I did feel like she had changed so much so quickly. I thought there would be more of a gradual change. But for it being a short book I understand how the pace had to be sped up.

Part of the Sugar & Extra Spice Curvy Romance, Mona Stark and Alex "Wolf" Bjornson do not start out very good in this enemies to lovers story. A super cute read. I loved the dynamics between Wolf and Mona. Wolf is swoon-worthy boyfriend material. I adored the way he supported and loved Mona, even when things got a little chaotic.

This is an excellent book, so sweetly awkward and a bit painful to read because of Mona's extreme sensory sensitivity. Now her new neighbor, Wolf, is a professional drummer. That's a massive interruption to Mona's peace. This is an incredible story that has an excellent happy ending.

I fell in love with Mona and Wolf. He had my heart in the elevator when he saw that she needed him to not be the tor to tell her to calm down. Without words, he understood. Young guy you love a man who just knows. How they were complete opposites with noise was great. Because it showed both sides. The needs of both. I thought this was a very sweet romance. I enjoyed it a lot.
