Successful goldsmith, Hamish, has come home from the Scottish mainland cities to live on the beautiful island off the west coast of Scotland. It’s December, and he’s settled in a cottage in the picturesque village on the opposite side of the island from the small town and the magnificent fairytale castle. The little village, nestled between the seashore and the forest, is thriving again. Hamish works from his home studio, creating his latest collection of exquisite rings for a city fashion house.

Lilidh (Lily) arrives home from Glasgow to temporarily live above her aunt’s fabric shop in the village, but plans to leave once she’s sold the shop, hopefully before the Winter Ball on Christmas Eve at the castle. Certainly before the Hogmanay celebrations at New Year. Definitely before the spectacular Vintage Ball in mid–January. That’s the plan.

But nothing goes according to plan for Lilidh, Hamish, or Kyle his long–time rival. Kyle, a handsome businessman, is also back home on the island to upgrade and sell his grandfather’s hotel in the village. Their lives were all entwined during the past. Now they’re entangled in the present.

Lilidh is a marketing consultant, but a dancer and dressmaker at heart. Will Lilidh find the happiness she truly needs on the island? And romance and a sparkling fairytale ending with Kyle or Hamish?
