Thaw: A Billionaire Holiday romance is a sweet, cozy holiday romance that I genuinely enjoyed and I ended up reading it in about 24 hours. It’s a fast, easy read that delivers exactly what you’d want from a seasonal romance: likable characters, festive vibes, and a quick, feel-good love story.
The romance itself is very much a fast-falling, slightly cliché holiday love, which honestly worked for me. Sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for, and this book delivered it well. The characters were enjoyable and easy to root for, and I especially loved Lucy. She’s a true go-getter, confident and driven, which I really appreciated. Gus, her assistant, quickly became one of my favorite characters, and I honestly wished he had a bit more page time.
My biggest critique and the main reason this didn’t quite hit five stars, was the editing. There were several spelling and grammatical errors throughout, along with a few timeline inconsistencies early on that pulled me out of the story (for example, references to Christmas events being both “ten days away” and “three days away” within a short span). There were also moments where the main character’s internal monologue became a bit repetitive and slightly distracting.
That said, these issues didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment. Thaw: A Billionaire Holiday romance , is a cute, cozy holiday romance with charming characters and an easy flow that makes it perfect for a quick seasonal read. With a bit more polishing in the editing stage, this could easily be a standout holiday romance.
If you’re looking for a festive, feel-good love story you can devour in a day, this one is definitely worth picking up. 🎄❄️

I went into Thaw expecting a cute billionaire holiday romance… and honestly, it gave me exactly that, but with more emotion than I expected.
This book has that classic vibe of a hero who feels cold, distant, and completely shut off at first, and then slowly (and I mean slowly in the best way) starts letting his guard down. The “thawing” isn’t just in the title, it’s literally the whole emotional journey of the story, and I really enjoyed watching it unfold.
The heroine was another reason I stayed hooked. I loved how driven and determined she was, especially with the pressure of saving her business and making things work within a deadline. She didn’t feel like a weak character who just falls for the rich guy, she had her own goals, her own stress, and her own strength, and that made the romance feel more real.
The chemistry between them builds gradually, and I liked that it wasn’t only about attraction. It was about trust, vulnerability, and those small moments where you can tell something is shifting between them. The forced proximity + grumpy billionaire combo? YES, I ate that up
This had so much more depth than I was expecting. Lucy has twelve days to save her event planning business. With nothing to lose she drives up to Billionaire James Spencer’s Colorado Lodge to convince him that she is the right person to plan his company’s annual Christmas Gala. He has already fired sixteen planners and is known for not being easy to please. He isn’t impressed that she has just turned up on the doorstep but then a blizzard traps them together and very slowly James’s walls come down and spending time together in such close proximity leads to late night conversations and ……….. I really liked how this was set out and how it flowed, the way the characters interacted and how the story developed. I thought that some of the topics covered were done with sensitivity. I found that I was totally engaged in this and will definitely be looking for other books by this author.
The banter in this book is immaculate. The back and forth between our main characters is top tier! However, the pacing in this book felt rushed. If the story could have been spaced a little better, this would have been a 5 star from me! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
