Football passes. Attention. Bad ideas—especially bad ideas.
So when I match with a confident, anonymous stranger on Prism, I don’t overthink it. No names. No expectations. One night. No strings. Exactly the kind of decision I excel at.
Then I walk into training camp.
And meet my new offensive coach.
Silas is older. Controlled. The human equivalent of a whistle and a rulebook. He pretends we’ve never met. I pretend my pulse doesn’t spike every time he looks at me.
Every practice is loaded with stolen glances. Every correction feels personal. The man who lives by rules is unraveling—and I’m the reason.
This is a disaster. I know that. And it’s definitely going to ruin my life.
But I’ve never been great at letting go of the things I catch.
Shut Up and Catch is a forbidden MM sports romance featuring an anonymous hookup, an older coach, a bold wide receiver, and the dangerous pull between control and craving.
❤️ This book made me so ready for Daniel’s story. He’s such a good friend, and the way he protected Luke from his parents was everything 🥹
❤️ The family dynamic! The Mario Kart evenings felt so real and warm, you can truly feel their bond. This is why the series should be read in order. Seeing everyone show up for Luke, especially when things get serious, meant a lot
❤️ Luke… my beautiful soul. His journey broke my heart and healed it at the same time. I loved seeing him learn to love himself and chase his dreams
What didn’t fully work for me:
💛 Silas was more complicated for me. I liked him at first, but I struggled with his past. The situation with his ex (and that “mine” moment) felt a bit unnecessary and pulled me out of the story
💛 The Daddy dynamic wasn’t really for me especially when Silas called himself Daddy
💛 The one-year breakup was hard, even if it led to growth
Overall: I think I just loved Luke so much that I wanted a softer, less complicated love story for him. But his emotional journey was beautiful, and that’s what stayed with me
This is a coach x player college sports romance, featuring Luke and Silas, and is book four in the Full Contact series.
Luke organises a no-strings anonymous hookup through an app, only to discover the next day, the man who rocked his world is Silas, his new offensive coach. As they try to ignore what happened, their growing attraction turns practices into a tense game of forbidden desire and hidden glances.
I’m loving this series and this one was a great addition. Luke and Silas had an instant connection and their story is packed with forbidden attraction, secret glances, and the delicious angst that keeps you hooked from the start. I loved the push and pull between them, Silas trying to keep control and follow the rules (badly btw), while Luke’s easy confidence slowly chips away at his restraint. Every interaction at training camp is loaded with tension and they just can’t keep away.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 4 in series MM college sports romance Coach x football player Bratty Fem MC Age gap (32 / 21) Flirting Anonymous hook up MC in Lingerie Spicy times & dirty talk Dom / sub Praise kink Biting & marking Locker room s*x Sexting & video s*x Food play: ice cream MC in lingerie Calls him Daddy Secret relationship Wears his clothes Found family 3rd act break up Reconnected Platonic friend cuddles HEA
GOD. FUCKING. DAMNIT.! Seeeee here’s the thing with this book…I KNEW! I knew it’d be amazing and the best in this series- but shit, fuck Kit you did NOT need to go all out like this!!
This book was an entire journey with two broken men, WORKING THEIR FUCKING ASSES off to better themselves for each other! And wow 🤩 did it pay off! I’ve loved Luke since I met him in book 1 and this book solidified why I was attached to him- he is a precious gem who was soo unapologetically himself and overcame a heartbreak to be EVEN BETTER?! GAH FUCK ME! And then Silas, the Spanish dirty talking, older coach?! What a man who has been TRAUMATIZED and you actually getting to see him work on himself?! Goddamn, this was absolutely my wet dream come to life on paper!!!!
Everything about this was utter PERFECTION THAT I COULD SCREAM LIKE A GOAT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC! Like damn.. I feel so empty now that their magnificent journey is complete and yet I couldn’t be happier for them…EVEN THOUGH KIT PUT ME THROUGH THE Wringer WITH THIS ONE!! 🙂↕️🙂↕️
In all seriousness this was such a good book. Great characters with wonderful tension that turned into BEAUTIFUL character development. Filthy, nasty, Spanish dirty talking spice 🥵, and a plot with such a journey that you can’t help but smile at the end 🥹
FUCK OFF KIT! WE WERE HAVING A MOMENT AND NOW I DONT HAVE ANOTHER BOOK TO READ!! WTF! 🤬
I really wanted to like this, it’s everything I like, except characters being not thinking. Cause why are you just telling everyone and their mama what you and coach did. How is that keeping things secret. If you don’t mi d your forbidden romances not so secret this one is for you. I love that there is diversity which again why I thought I’d love this, but hate how they are going about this.
This is a coach x player college sports romance, featuring Luke and Silas, and is book four in the Full Contact series.
Luke and Silas had an instant connection. The angst had me hooked from the beginning. I loved the push and pull.
The spice is spicy! The chemistry and angst never fades. Even after early spice right off. It just builds and builds.
It doesn’t rush the story and it all fits together nicely. The story will have you laughing and crying. Both characters in this book show growth in this whole book. It’s a very good read. 4/5
ok, this one... This one HURT. Made me cry like a fucking idiot. Xavier's parts just... Broke me. Really broke me. I was sobbing on the scene he recognized Silas.
I've loved Luke since the first time he showed up, and I'm on the fence of how I feel about what needed to happen for him to grow.
Honestly, I'm bored to hell and back with fucking third act breakups. It's always the same thing... "Oh, 60% of the book and they're happy, shit will hit the fan soon".... Boring AF. This one was a little less annoying to read because it was a stepping stone into character growth, but even so, it tired me. I felt like it stretched longer than it should, got me rolling my eyes and muttering "oh god...." more than once. But maybe I'm just saturated because there's always a breakup at that part. As I said, this one actually serves a purpose and it's not just cheap drama. So it's bearable.
Really liked the spicy scenes between the two of them. But I wanted more about the daddy kink part of the relationship. It felt a bit loose. It's a dynamic that could've been a bit more explored.
I'm really glad that Silas worked on his trauma, that he actually got help, worked on himself, and didn't just drown in depression. It felt good to see a character actually put in the works and recognizing that they were full of unhealed trauma and that that wouldn't do. This part was really good and I appreciate it being there, written, and not a footnote on a time skip.
Did I want more from the situation of Luke and his parents? Yeah. But mostly because I don't appreciate him continuing to torture himself going to those dinners. Even if his mom seemed to slightly accept, there was nothing on the epilogues that indicated what happened to that.
I love the guys. And I particularly love Daniel (I'm really looking forward his book). He's such a lovable character and his friendship with Luke is just SO NICE. When he protected Luke from his parents? Gosh, I wanted to squeeze him in a tight hug. So sweet and adorable.
It felt a bit bittersweet, tho, the open ending of Xavier. I know there's nothing else there to do, but Idk... It hurt me a little. His parts really, really tug on my heartstrings. And I think what hurts me more is knowing that it happens in real life. It broke my heart.
Overall, I really liked this book a lot. Luke is such a lovely character and I'm so happy he has his HEA. Silas is also such a good dude ( But bro, I'm 32 too, why TF you acting as if you're 50????).
I do recommend this one. And looking forward the next one.

Shut Up and Catch by Kit Jade. Book number 4 in the Full Contact Series. This Book features an age gap, forbidden love, traumatic events related to sports injuries, loving after losing love. If any of these topics would be bad for your mental health I would reconsider reading otherwise go for it.
Kit Jades writing just keeps on getting better. Each of the stories in the series gets a little tighter a little more polished and more real. That being said, I LOVED this book! I loved Luke and Silas and I laughed and cried with them as their story unfolded.I promise you will love this one. Kit doesn’t skimp on the spice in this one. Full of spicey encounters that are just fantastic….
Luke- The flirty football player, the one who likes attention, isn’t looking for something serious,, is a brat, loves glitter, and loves attention, survivor of religious trauma at the hands of his parents.
Have you ever met someone that makes you want to break all your rules? Even though you know you are going to regret it. Have you ever punished yourself for a bad call that you made or carried guilt because you couldn’t stop or prevent something horrible that’s happened in your life? This Book is about making mistakes. Seeing your life and heart being broken. But then rebuilding yourself and finding out maybe you weren’t as broken as you thought you were. Relying on your family, sometimes you make your family and let them help remind you who you are. This is a beautiful love story of loss and second chances. Please give it a read I know you are going to love it!

“Eres todo lo que no sabía que necesitaba.” You are everything I didn’t know I needed.
5⭐️ 4🌶
Luke's book is everything I've been waiting for in this series. He's been such a fun side character in the first 3 books –loud, proud, sassy and out. He's such a great friend to everyone (and a shit-stirrer) that you just knew his own love life was going to be all sorts of chaotic fun. Especially when it comes to our favorite anonymous texting hookup app 🫦
Enter Silas, he’s older, oozes confidence, control, and sex. One hot night together and they'll never see each other again right? Wrong. Surprise, surprise he's the new offensive football coach.
And there launches the start of something new –something hot and forbidden. Luke being the menace he is likes to try to get under the skin of someone who was just supposed to be a one time thing. But merciless teasing will get a brat into trouble with a man who likes being in control 😉 The steaming hot tension will be boiling over until their feelings come out. Luke's been hiding under his flamboyant exterior, someone vulnerable to the world he thinks is too much to handle. But damn, Silas is a man who knows what he wants, wants to love, wants to protect, wants to be cautious.
Kit Jade really went for the throat and my feelings with Luke and Silas' story. It was fast burning spice, a good medium pace plot, and all the angsty yearning between an overthinker and a walls-up older man could bring. And there were tears, Luke's and mine, but the HEA was well earned.
Extra things I loved: -Of course getting to revisit all the other couples from the previous books (Micah's turn to be the best supportive friend when there's relationship drama 👏🏻) -*there's a therapist* iykyk -SILAS' SEXY HOT SPANISH (Someone get this on an audiobook right now!)
This was such a great installment to the Full Contact series, Luke and Silas really brought all the best feels and have become my new favorites. Also I just a love a good age gap trope with a bratty blonde. 😮💨😌 Can't wait to see what comes next. (Or rather who 😉)
4.5⭐️ — Strong character-driven growth with emotional payoff
Kit Jade has leveled up.
In Shut Up and Catch, the tropes don’t dictate the story — the characters do. The forbidden coach/player dynamic, the third-act breakup, the healing arc — none of it feels inserted because romance structure demands it. Every major turning point grows naturally out of Silas’s guilt, his past trauma, and the real risks tied to his role as a coach.
The chemistry never fades. Even after early spice, the tension evolves instead of plateauing. The relationship feels layered, earned, and emotionally grounded. When the breakup hits, it isn’t random drama — it’s rooted in fear, responsibility, and unresolved grief. And the reconciliation works because the internal wound is addressed first. The healing arc feels intentional and thematically aligned, not like a quick emotional bandage.
The pacing is tight, the banter sharp, and the emotional stakes consistent throughout. Unlike earlier books in the series, this one doesn’t rush emotional shifts or rely on tropes to “tell” the plot. It shows the growth — in both the characters and the author’s craft.
This can absolutely be read as a standalone. You don’t need the previous books to feel the depth of this story.
Why not a full 5⭐️? While I loved it, it doesn’t feel like a reread-for-comfort book for me — but it is undeniably strong, emotionally satisfying, and well-structured.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are are my own.
"Whatever's happening between us. The pull. The way I can't stop thinking about you. The way you look at me as if you'd let me keep you." . . By far my favorite in the Full Contact series. No question. There were so many things to love about Shut Up and Catch.
Things I Loved:
Turn Up the Heat: Daddy Kink. Lace. Dirty Talk. The sneaky, forbidden element. There was no shortage of red-hot moments and spice in Shut Up and Catch. From the jump, there are sensual moments, and the chemistry between Luke & Silas is palpable.
The Bigger Conversation: There are several important themes throughout Silas and Luke's story. From learning to love after loss, being unapologetically yourself, and finding love, know that you are enough. In 388 pages, Jade navigates these subjects with care and finesse. Throughout the highs and lows of their story, you can't help but feel their loss, heartbreak, and love. To me, this is a testament to Kit's writing.
As stated before, this is my favorite installment in this series. I loved Silas and Luke as the MMC's and their subsequent growth (both individually & as a couple). While you navigate the ups and downs of Shut Up and Catch, you can't help but root for them to get their HEA. As always I am excited to see what's next from this series and Kit.
Favorite Quote: "And next time I get my hands on you, I won't stop at just once. I'll keep you from coming until you're wrecked and ruined and begging to be mine."
I have been looking forward to Lukes book since we met him in book 1.
The story follows Luke, who arranges a completely anonymous encounter through an app—only to realise the following day that his unforgettable connection was with Silas, the team’s new offensive coach. What should have been a one-off quickly becomes far more complicated as their worlds collide on the training field.
What really makes this book shine is the electric dynamic between the two leads. From the very beginning, their connection feels natural yet intense, and that spark only grows stronger as they try—and fail—to keep their distance. Kit does a great job of building that sense of “forbidden” tension, with every shared glance and brief interaction carrying weight.
Silas’s struggle to maintain professionalism adds an extra layer of conflict, especially as his resolve begins to falter. Meanwhile, Luke’s self-assured and steady presence creates a perfect contrast, gradually breaking down Silas’s defences.
Their push-and-pull dynamic is incredibly engaging, and the emotional undercurrent keeps the story feeling grounded despite the high-stakes attraction.
Set against the backdrop of training camp, the atmosphere is charged with anticipation, making every scene between them feel significant. Overall, this is a strong addition to the series—full of longing, conflict, and just the right amount of angst to keep readers fully invested.
Tropes: 🏈MM Romance 🏈 Age Gap 🏈 College Sports Romance 🏈 Sub- Dom 🏈 Forbidden 🏈 Coach-Player 🏈 Found Family 🏈 Bratty MC
This is the 4th book in the Full Contact series and so I know by now to expect a little of the unexpected from this author.
Just as in the other books, the themes — in this case, the age gap and forbidden aspect of the coach player dynamic — are heavy hitting, and there’s very little sugarcoating involved.
I appreciate the approach of treating some of the more eyebrow raising components to the story with raw honesty and I think make it more like real life that way.
I certainly was invested in the journey of these two characters and couldn’t put the book down in order to find out how things would work out.
The chemistry between the two main characters was never their issue and was very spicy throughout the book. The Sub Dom dynamic with the praise kink in particular was very hot.
There were a few times where the story gutted me and, as in the other books, I wondered where were going, but as I’ve learned previously with this author, it’s important to see it through.
I really do recommend the series and would note that these books should be read in order.
Please note, I did receive this advanced copy ahead of publication; I am writing this honest review voluntarily and appreciate the opportunity provided by the author to review this book.
“Eres todo lo que no sabía que necesitaba.” You are everything I didn’t know I needed. ^ Page 109.
Lost my interest at 75% and skimmed the ending. If I'm being completely honest it was hard to get into when you have a character speaking mostly Spanish and only parts of it is being translated. But the overall plot wasn't too bad.
As soon as it said about Xavier and Silas' backstory I could already tell something was going to happen to Luke and it just made the book predictable. There was nothing else that really made the book stand out that could make me love this book or distract me from things I thought were predictable.
Also I never want to read/hear from any character (main or side) or anyone really that anyone refers to their mother as a milf ever again. Personal preference on that one, people probably overlooked that quote and kept reading.
“You wish you were my mom,” he calls back. “She’s a MILF.” ^ Page 45. (Side character says this)
Overall the plot was predictable and I think my expectations were a little too high for this one.
I think I found this one on tiktok a while ago being promoted and added it to my list before finding out yesterday that it had been released a few days ago.
This series has continued to provide me with endless enjoyment with each new book. I wasn’t expecting to love this book as much as I did but here I am, writing another 5* review for this author.
Firstly I’d like to say that I normally prefer my MMCs to not be all glittery, but Luke was just so perfect and adorable and happy and sparkly that it was impossible not to fall in love with him. I loved the premise of this story, and I usually tend to gravitate towards books that have a bit of an age gap and a difference in the balance of power. This book had that in spades.
This is not your typical coach (Silas)/player (Luke) story. There is a plot line that will take you by surprise and make you ache for Silas and the pain he is carrying. I loved how sensitively the author navigated the reveal.
I also don’t mind the third act breakup and I liked how Luke came out at the end of it. I always like a lesson well learned and how much stronger someone can come out of it.
Overall a very satisfying read and I’m looking forward to the next books in the series.
I’m so happy I found this author.

Shut Up and Catch is the fourth book in the Full Contact series written by Kit Jade.
💜 college 💜 football 💜 past hurts 💜 second chance 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spicy spice
Luke just wants to be accepted for who he is, especially after his parents made it abundantly clear that they think his sexual preference is just a phase. But as he swipes glitter just right on his cheek bones, this is not a phase and is absolutely who he is. Tonight? Tonight he is meeting someone he’s been chatting with on the Prism dating app. Will his parents ever accept him as he is? Will he feel settled in who he is ever? What about schooling? Will he be able to get into med school like he wants to?
This was a good addition to this series. As with all of the other books, this is another book that can be read as a stand alone. But, the storyline would be richer if you read them in order as past characters do make an appearance in this book. I like both Luke and Silas’ characters. They both had things they had to work through and I loved how much more relatable their characters were because of that. I can’t wait to see what other stories come out in this world.
Player/Coach Luke is full of glitter and sparkles but on the field, as a wide receiver, he is on fire. Arranging hook ups through Prism, he wants no commitments, but when he comes face to face with his last hook up on the field on his first day of training, the hook up who made him feel, well what is he supposed to do. Silas has got a new job as assistant coach, he knows he should stay away from Luke, but something is drawing him closer, but what about the consequences. This was an enjoyable read. I have always liked Luke, his full of spirit has always put a smile on my face when he interacted with his friends. But in this story we learn more about him and his family. There is a connection between Luke and Silas and whilst they know it is a bad idea, they cannot fight it. Hearing what Silas has been through, which resulted in him getting the job. I do not want to give much away but I will say that some scenes were more believable. I loved Luke's and his friends nights in and I could clearly imagine the chaos and fun they had together. With more characters to come, I am looking forward to continuing with this series
Luke and Silas completely wrecked me, in the best possible way. Their story is intense from the very beginning, pulling you into something raw, passionate, and deeply emotional. The connection between them feels immediate and undeniable, but what makes it truly compelling is how real their struggles are.
This isn’t an easy love story. Life gets messy, fear creeps in, and things fall apart in ways that hurt to read. But that’s also what makes their journey so powerful, the way they fight through uncertainty, take time to grow, and slowly find their way back to something stronger and healthier. It’s not perfect, but it feels honest.
Their relationship balances so many layers at once: tenderness and heat, vulnerability and strength, sweetness and something a little reckless. They’re intense, messy, and beautiful, and the emotional payoff makes every painful moment worth it.
This was easily a five-star read. Even the chapters that hurt were unforgettable, and by the end, I was completely in love with their story.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really enjoyed Shut Up and Catch by Kit Jade. It’s a compelling MM sports romance that balances emotional depth, angst, and tenderness beautifully.
The relationship between Silas, the defense coach, and Luke, the star running back, is layered with tension, vulnerability, and soft BDSM elements. Luke’s bratty personality made him such an entertaining character, while Silas’s protective nature created a strong and grounding contrast.
What really hit me emotionally was the weight of Silas’s history with Xavier. That part was incredibly heavy and genuinely heartbreaking—it absolutely made me cry.
I also loved the separation and the time Silas and Luke needed to work through heartbreak. That gradual journey—from heartbreak to accepting the other again—made their eventual happy ending feel truly earned.
Overall, this is a solid, relatable, and grounded read with real emotional payoff. If you enjoy sports romance with angst, healing, and meaningful relationship development, I’d definitely recommend it.

So I’m in trouble. I’ve always confidently said that Eli and Max are my favorites, but damn… now I don’t even know anymore. Because Silas and Luke… ugh 🥹
The dynamic and the chemistry between them were just perfect, and you could really feel the love they had for each other. We finally got to truly get to know Luke and see what’s behind the constantly happy, chatty, flirty playboy attitude. And of course Silas, who needs to control everything.
The character development and the story were both fantastic. The only thing I didn’t love (and not because it wasn’t good, because honestly it kind of had to be there for the story) was the third-act breakup. I’m sorry, I just hate those. Even when they’re necessary.
That said, Kit Jade didn’t disappoint with this book either. It delivered the exact same quality as the previous ones.
And okay, maybe I sounded a little uncertain at the beginning of this review, but I still have to say it: no one can take Max and Eli’s place in my heart 🥰
obsolutely loved reading and meeting luke wanted to throttle his family more he deserved to be loved loud and proud from his parents this book was so good better than anything i could of thought of this is a must read series loving meeting all the couples Kit if your reading this im so hooked and u brought these couples to life beyond the pages and should be really prod of yourself , im a fan for life and thankyou for letting me be apart of the ARC team !!
You don’t get to bare your soul at 2 a.m. through a hookup app and then act like I imagined it,” he says, voice low and steady. “You don’t get to drop that and then pretend we’re just coach and player again
Me: You gonna pretend you don’t remember the way I trembled under you? How I clawed at your back, left scratches down your spine because you wouldn’t let me come until you said I could? How I followed every single command?
1st person POV Dual MM Plot 4/5 Spice 2.5/5 Coach / Player Age Gap Second act break up Hurt / Comfort HEA
I have loved Luke from the previous books, he seemed like this ball of sunshine, just unapologetically himself in everything he did! While that seemed the case in this book too you got to see another side of him as well!
I have some mixed feelings about Silas though ( is it just a thing for him to mess around with his players? like once okay I could see that happening but twice? I don't know maybe I'm overthinking this a bit.. anyways) He has some control issues that he needs to work through! I am usually not a fan of second or third act break ups but this one was done so well and was almost needed in this story! The outcome couldn't have happened the way it did without it and I don't think the story would have been as good!!
So 4 books in and I am still hooked on this series!! I can't wait for the next one!! ❤️
This was such a beautiful story about finding love when you thought you didn’t deserve it. Luke and Silas’ story was emotional, messy, and incredibly moving. Their connection felt intense from the start, but beneath the chemistry were two people dealing with their own struggles—Silas carrying the weight of his past, while Luke quietly believes he’s too much for others to handle. Watching them navigate their feelings while confronting their own insecurities made their relationship feel genuine.
What begins as a seemingly one-time encounter quickly turns into something far more complicated when their worlds unexpectedly collide. The tension, humour, and vulnerability between them made this story impossible to put down. Their journey isn’t easy, but the growth they experience individually makes their eventual happiness feel well deserved. This was another standout in the series, and I really enjoyed their journey.
This was just absolutely perfect! It did make me cry of course but all the books in this series has! First off each book each couple has its own special place in my heart but damn these two broke the wall for me! In the previous books Luke has been the carefree guy not caring flirting doing whatever he wants but this book we get to truly see him be open about his feelings which scares him so much! In comes Silas at first an anonymous hookup on an app with issues of his own because of an accident that happened to a player he was in charge of and in love with! Throughout the book when Silas shows up as Luke’s coach they are faced with so many different challenges and when Luke gets injured everything goes to hell! This book will break you but I promise it’s worth staying around for the ending! I would absolutely read the first books in the universe first because we get to see all the boys throughout!

Kit Jade has given us a delectably sweet slow burn romance between a player and a coach. Added to that is an age gap that feels like an epic love affair making us hope their love has a chance to burn bright. The Mario Kart night was a whirlwind of fun and taunting that brought out Luke’s fun and loving side, where hurts were forgotten. Silas is a very complicated character that is all about personal control, where Luke is the opposite. Control can be fickle and unpredictable though, and that causes things to spiral out of control when we least expect it. Silas is such a silver-tongued Spanish speaking devil to Luke! It’s such a delightful treat to have recurring characters come back so we can catch up with what’s happening in their lives. The epilogues are a fantastical writing genius! It took time passing and some tough decisions for these two to get their very well deserved happily ever after.
This is book 4 in the Full Contact series and just like the first 3, I absolutely devoured this one. Luke and Silas’ story was heartbreakingly beautiful. I loved the chemistry between them and how you could feel their love for each other. It felt real, raw, unfiltered, but also guarded. There was so much baggage and emotional damage they were both struggling and trying to cope with. It’s rare that a third act break up feels like the right decision, even if it hurts, but this one did. It felt important to the story and to the characters that they took that time to work on themselves. This story brought out so many emotions in me- happiness, sadness, joy, laughter- it had it all. I am already anxiously awaiting the next 2 in the series!!
🏈 Coach x Player ✨ Femme boy 🏈 ONS to lovers ✨ Age Gap 🏈 “Daddy” x “ Good boy” ✨ Hurt x Comfort 🏈 Found Family
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Throughout this series, Luke has been loud and vocal and 100% there for his friends. I would not have guessed Luke’s story to be as heart wrenching as it was. The feeling of being too much while not enough is one I personally know. His character struck such a strong chord with me that I couldn’t help but love him. Silas wasn’t the character I imagined Luke with. Quiet and controlled didn’t seem right. But they worked. The dynamics of their relationship were true and honest, raw, emotional, and powerful. Silas’ past was intriguing. It felt like he was holding on too tight thinking he was not enough because of it. I was happy that they did not give up on each other and work together towards their HEA. Hard fought and well earned.
Kit Jade is the queen of MM romance. All her books in these standalone series has been so good.
This story is about Luke and Silas. Luke is the running back for the football team and Silas is his new couch.. OPPs lol. How Luke and Silas meet is through a hook up app. Silas is this mystery hot man that Luke decided to go on a hook up date with. When I tell you the sparks were flying with these two. It was getting spicy fast in the first few chapters.
I love how much they just couldn’t resist each other and decided to just be together. They was so just much packed into this wonderful book. I loved it like I loved all her other books. I will continue to support Kit Jade and recommend her books.
10/10 all the way
Fav Quotes: And just like that, I know --- I know --- we’re building something here. It’s quiet. It’s slow. But it’s ours.
Book 4 of this great series doesn’t disappoint. It maybe my favorite two MC in the series yet. Luke and Silas find themselves in quite the predicament after a hit anonymous hook up finds them meeting again at practice where Silas is now his coach. The tension, the forbidden relationship and the hot steamy scenes between these two is just off the charts. This book hits a lot of kinks and troupes. What I like most about this book is how connected these two are and it just gets better and better. I normally find myself frustrated with the 3rd act break up in books but this one is written well and fits. Silas tried to resist and be professional but that didn’t work. This is an excellent read and addition to this series.

Thank you to the author for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.
4.5 stars
This was adorable and everything I needed in this moment. The romance was beautifully done, and for once I actually felt the second act breakup was necessary? Like the character development was fantastic. Silas and Luke really needed it to be their full selves together. I wouldn't say this book has any major trigger warnings, but a character deals with guilt over an event in the past (I won't spoil it or anything) and the other character has ultra religious parents who are questionable. But yeah, a wonderful book and I am very excited for the next two to come out!!!
Also the smut in this??? So well done. *chefs kiss*
