She wasn't looking for love, she was looking for freedom. The mask was a way to escape, to be anonymous in a world where everyone can see you.

He was happy to be alone, to live a quiet life. An ex soldier who ran away from his past to start life anew in Australia.

One night, one chance meeting was all it took.

She needed someone to show her how it felt to be loved.

He needed someone to care for and protect.

When her past catches up to her, it does so with malice and violence.

One phone call is all it takes and he's there, to do something he never thought he would have to do.

Dispose of a body.

Two broken people, one shared secret, and no evidence to be found.

Such a gorgeously well rounded book ! The MMC is a literal dream, protective, sexy as all hell, caring beyond belief and for an added bonus a masked man 😍
The FMC, talk about a perfect woman my god !
Perfect amount of backstory, plot was hearty and smut was spicy !
If you haven't read it already what are you doing ?!
Can't wait to see what we get next 🩶

I read this book in 12 hours, I could not put it down. You have captured the raw emotions and I felt that throughout the story. I felt the heartache, the panic and the love in every moment. Hands down one of my top reads this year!

Great story line. Easy to follow, with just the right amount of spice. It will have you feeling all of the feels from start to finish. I would recommend 👌
