This was a quick read. It's about 110 pages and I read it all in 2 sittings.

Naomi was a really good FMC. As an older sibling, she really loved, cared for, and tried to make sure her little brother's dreams came true as it relates to his career. I loved how smart, driven, and business-minded she was (very inspirational and motivating).

Amir was a dream. I really liked how he constantly encouraged Naomi and always tried to help her see just how talented she was at the times that she doubted herself.

Overall, I enjoy the book. It was a fast-paced, and easy read, and had just the right amount of spice and plot.

Though I liked it overall, the pacing was al little off for me (it was a bit repetitive). In addition, as a reader, I found myself a little frustrated at the fact that Naomi, at 32, gave so much weight to what her little brother thought or felt about her relationship. Yes, Amir is Trey's friend but girl, get yours. I was just screaming at her to stop caring so much about Trey. Yes, talk to him, tell him you like Amir, but to give up your happiness, no way. I was rooting for Amir and Naomi the whole book and just wanted them to get their HEA. LOL.

Besides that, the book was good and I would recommend it.

This was a quick lil read. Naomi was so easy to root for. She was smart, ambitious, and spent way too much time making sure that Trey was good. You can tell she loved her brother and wanted him to be good. He ain’t deserved it tho 🙄😂 Now Amir… THAT’S bae! every time Naomi started doubting herself, he didn’t hesitate to show her who she was. I loved how he encouraged her without trying to change her. Their chemistry was cute and I was rooting for them from the minute they got together.

My biggest issue was the pacing. After a while it started feeling like we were circling the same conflict over and over. I would’ve traded some of that repetition for more scenes of Naomi and Amir just… being together. Let me actually enjoy the romance!

And can we talk about Trey for a second? Because baby… Naomi literally sacrificed so much to make sure he could live out his dreams, yet she was over here stressing about what he would think of her relationship? Absolutely not. I needed a more intense scene where she told him about himself. 😭 Not in a disrespectful way, but in a “I’ve spent years pouring into you, now it’s time you respect my happiness too” kind of way. I was waiting on that conversation and it never came. Overall, it was okay. It was fast!! I just think spending less time repeating the same issue and more time developing Naomi and Amir would’ve made me love it even more.

This was my first “smut” i truly liked the dynamic between the characters and it was very entertaining. I wish there was more diversity in the words used but it was a simple quick read.
