Waldo and company have just barely survived an encounter with his grandfather the archlich. All Waldo wants now is to stay in Lunatown where he, Alice, and Gronk will be safe. So, of course, he soon finds himself dragged out of the village and forced to go on an adventure. And why? Is it to look for great wealth, power, or wisdom? Are they searching for the One Bracelet to rule everybody? No, that would make far too much sense. Instead, they set out to find a legendary wine just to give a certain somebody the 'drunkest drunk.' And all because of an alcoholic lush of a dragon and a new arrival to the village. They seem absolutely determined to make poor Waldo's life a misery. The Dark Powers are definitely laughing again.
Oh, and there's this whole war thing going on over in Torikai. Hundreds of thousands of lives hang in the balance as the Dark Armies approach. Melissa, the Grandmaster Ramiel, their fellow White Mages, and the brave folk of the Rats Nest prepare for a desperate battle to save their lives and city.
But the main story is about an alcoholic dragon going on a liquor run.

First let me say thanks to Nelson Chereta for dropping another Waldo adventure on Christmas Eve.
Without spoiling any part of the novel for anyone getting ready to read I'll give my thoughts. Waldo appears to be growing as a person besides that we have the same issue as book 6. Yet another adventure has come and gone without any part of his quest being completed. I think the splitting of the novel into the three viewpoints leaves all three stages feeling hallow.
We still get the banter everyone that has read the previous six books has come to enjoy. Happy reading fellow followers of The Great Rabbit. See you all again hopefully soon.
I cant believe it my man Nelson is at it again writing pure genius with Waldo and the gang, bro I cant predict anything that that comes my man's Waldos way, the Dark Powers really HATE HIM, lol (if you know you know) man from the multiple POVs to the great characters and world this is at the top of my list of best unique storys i have read so far, i cant wait to continue our adventures with Waldo, Alice amd Gronk, i cant recommend this series enough.
After several mediocre, short installments, this book got me hooked on the story again. It was probably the best in the series so far. Waldo is growing up, but still keeping up his very original views of the world. The white magi (except for Melissa) carry on being irritating in their self righteousness and make the black ones appear almost kind in comparison. I thought a duell between Lilith and Ramiel would be awasome. Can’t wait to see where all this is going.
Melissa is the main character of this book. That not necessarily a bad thing but especially given how it is on the fact that she is unable to do anything of substance it makes for a slow read. She in this book is set up to be a great only for it to fizzle out. The Waldo sections are great.
Yes it is short tale (or should I say tail?) Waldo gets back in the cult business while traveling with Alice, Gronk, a drunken dragon, and a mysterious woman. Worth the read to catch one of Waldos adventures. And to see the progression of the Dark Army in opposition to Alderon.
Not much plot development as far as Waldo's quest, most of the book seemed to focus on Melissa more than Waldo who was off doing pretty much nothing in regards to his quest. Seemed more like filler than any actual substance.
Finally an end to the books that kept getting shorter. Felt like I was reading from the author who wanted to tell a great and funny story to its best. Instead of one simply meeting contract deadlines and writing as little as possible.
This is painfully boring and completely obvious. It does nothing but show how much of a hypocrite Alice is, that's all. This doesn't even qualified as filler, more of just a waste.
