WHAT!

I can not believe i went through all these books just to find out that the 6th book ain't done and that this is a rewrite and extension of an already written series, although I found that second part out in the first book.

Idk, it was good but felt rushed and I feel like it focused on the wrong things for a super long time. Yes, I l know Rin is getting a book but I feel like the time we spent on him and Deja and how he basically was checking her out every five minutes could have been used differently. This felt like a filler book.
I feel like the reveal of Reo and Kenji, actually knowing where the foxes relocation was was very rushed, and it felt like we did a whole fight scene and a whole bunch of chapters putting these will love character characters in danger for no reason.
I don’t feel like Hiroko needed to die. That felt very unnecessary and I feel like her death should’ve caused more of an uproar in everyone. I wanted Kenji to let that rage overtake him in a more impactful way. I felt like she was killed just for the purpose of someone dying.
I also feel like we got this amazing storyline of Nyomi, using her schooling and training and intelligence to help move the story forward and move Kenji’s empire in the correct way, and I feel like that was completely wasted in this book.
I did love the playfulness between Kenji, Nyomi, and Hiro. That was fun to read and made me smile.
I don’t feel like Kenji needed to beat Reo the way he did that felt very unnecessary and cruel. Yes, I understand why he did it out of protection for Nyomi, but it made him seem overly childish and hotheaded in a sense.
The best part of this book in my opinion was the last chapter when everyone was together and reunited. Overall, this book was not satisfying for me, even though I love this series and I love these characters. I’m hoping for more and the next one.

Absolutely Freaking Awesome

This is absolutely a Epic story! I couldn't hardly wait for this book and of course I wasn't disappointed! Oh my what a fifth book , none of these books can be read as a stand alone, but believe me when I say you’ll be really happy you read them in order. Now I must tell you this is a Wow! From the beginning there's action with so much spice and keeps on going. OMG the thrills, vengeance with chills and the spectacular spice. this will be everything you can hope for in this AMBW romantasy! It's full of enthralling romance, loyalty, death, action and vengeance that had me so captivated and engage from the first page until the last. This book is a EPIC actually the entire series is! It may be classified definitely as a dark erotic romance with a few scenes that will have you needing not just one fan but maybe four, so proceed with enjoyment. But I for one continues to enjoy the Dragon, his Brother, his Roar, his Fangs, his Claws and his Heart. The female main character defies the norm, Nyomi is a total b@d@$$! She gives this story a reason for totally enjoyment, the exploration of the Yakuza and Japan’s underworld and what it truly means to love and be loved in return by the conductor of carnage where every gunshot a note, every bribe a beat, every blood oath a drumline of death, where assassins moved to his rhythm and all while navigating a world filled with sensuous plays and their high-stakes of love. Nyomi's character is a queen, she is a seducer of her Dragon and his hearts power, I mean there's just something that makes you want to be her. Because it's no balance between her nurturing and cooking for his people, but her friends are a different story their characters are brilliant and hilarious, I actually love her because she is down to earth, had learn about her desires and to struggle with her surrender although she was what I'd call a strong woman in every capacity, and it's very visible, its her real self which is witty, confident, funny, sarcastic. She is what I call a multi-dimensional character and I really enjoyed every part of her personality, it makes her both loveable and relatable. Now for the men in her life first there's Zo who is handsome, a fashionista and so much fun that's what makes him one of her best guy friend and he has that something that's needed in their relationship. Kenji Sato is truly a Dragon he is savage and charming when needed but he is absolute swoon material. He went through a small character development without changing any of his personality. His character is one that possessive, obsessive and he is a Dragon to his core, he has to be for what is needed to rule the Yakuza and the Japan underworld. Kenji is entertaining especially when he is dominant, He has an actual emotional range rather than just destroying cities and burning people. Then there's the chemistry between all the characters, now this is hard to put into words, because I need more to my vocabulary to describe this thing, but what I can say is it's a EPIC and SPECTACULAR. Every word that each of them uttered, all of the movements they make and their interaction with each other, even with their arguments and bickering, with their witty comebacks, all of this screams the chemistry and loyalty between them. It's so compelling, emotional that I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed characters more, they all just fit perfectly and perhaps even the spice is awesome, and the spicy scenes between the Dragon and his Heart is so spectacular it makes their relationships so over the chart awesome, I just adored that it's a AMBW relationship Overall, this is absolutely a masterpiece. I enjoyed the spice, the descriptions and their inner monologues and there is no issue with the pacing of this story. It's so amazing and suspenseful with the characters being emotional, loveable and relatable, the chemistry between these characters is oozing off of the pages with passion which I just really enjoyed every moment. It's masterfully balances intense action, drama with tender moments, while creating a story that's both gritty, spicy and deeply emotional. The characters are complex, their connections raw and heartfelt, which makes their journey all the more captivating. This is what makes every moments easy-to-read and a page turner so entertaining with its realistic steamy spicy passion that has unpredictable but witty and delightful scenes. I really really enjoyed the PPOV because it puts you inside their heads it lets you feel what and how they are feeling. I enjoyed how these characters relied on themselves plus their fire and spice that's lit under their skin. WOW it's just the right balance and will have you panting for more. I think my favorite part was their banter between the characters and how I could never guess what was going to happen next with the wild and delightful ride. Now if you’re a fan of a romance with a twist of intrigue and vengeance then this is a must-read that will leave you longing for more. I absolutely en

Wow, I absolutely love how Kenya Wright has written this series. Every thing she describes I can picture in my mind's eye. The relationships are layered and rich. The kitchen scene between the FMC and Hiro, you could feel the warmth coming off the page. I love how their bond is developing.

I'm still waiting and hoping that this turns into a poly situation, either between the MCs and Hiro or the MCs and Reo. Certainly, there is so much subtext that's been laid down through all the books insinuating that she'll have a 3rd partner.

Something I am getting frustrated about is the pacing though. I'd rather read a 1000 page book that moves the story along than read a 500+ page book that just goes through a series of vignettes that don’t really progress the story. When I was 57% into the book we had just finished 1 day. 1 day! Mind you that day started hours after the events at the end of book 4. All told the entirety of book 5 covered 2 days. At this pace, I fear we'll never get to the culmination of this story.

The fire play scene between the FMC and Kenji (MMC) was probably the best written, most realistic kink scene I've ever read. 🔥

I wish we had gotten a scene written about what happened between Deja and Rin when they left the room together. 🙃

Wow !!

Let's get this out of the way first: I hope the black dress we will be needing is for the fox and his people and the pyre the dragon has for him and his coward of a brother. Okay, now I truly didn't see Deja and Rin coming, but I like it a lot. I think Kaoru and she just wouldn't mix well. I damn near had a conniption when the twins Yuki and Aki got hurt; I was like grabbing my hair and saying out loud, "Kenya, don't kill one of them, please!" I knew Nyomi would take Hiroko's death hard, but it might destroy Zo. I also loved the little bit of defiance from Satoshi when the lion came on the island and he was thinking Kenji might hurt Reo more, yes Kenji is all their boss but Reo leads the fangs and in some ways his loyalty was to Reo first. I can't wait to see what's next, but does the twin dragons story symbolize Kenji's mother's people, or is it just a book that just so happens to be about dragons? I can't wait to see what happens with Korin when Puritan finds out that he has already bonded with Sol without him and I hope that nothing happens to him trying to get Sol to forgive him. And I know I for one hope all the dragons get the queen and a happily ever after.

The Dragon and His Heart

I have enjoyed this series. It is lengthy, descriptive and detailed. The scenes are long and in my opinion makes reading some what overbearing. Still, a good story that piques your interest to continue reading to find what is coming. The relationship between, Kenji (The Dragon), Nyomi (Heart/Tiger), The Fangs and Clawress adds a layer of intrigue and heart to the storyline. The depiction of Nyomi is refreshing and positive. I love the bond she shares with Kenji, Hiro, Reo, the Claws and the Fangs. This is a high level action filled book that's multilayered. Enemies lurking, betrayal, developing connections of friendship, family, loss, love and loyalty that's tested. Kejnji and Nyomi share a love that transcends expected boundaries. Dive into this series and get swept away into the world of the dragon.

fire isn’t just for burning but transforming

This book truly pushed the boundaries of Naomi and Kenji and Hiro. With them going into war against the fox a.k.a. their father limits have been pushed as spies have been unleashed in book 4. Naomi has to come to the realization of the world that she is now in as well as how far she will push herself to stay in this world. Kenji and Hiro have to realize that everything may not always be OK but together as a unit they can move together as one. Rio realizes that not all tests are worth the results or are they? This book is one of my favorite books that can you write has ever written. This series is one of my top favorites. I highly highly recommend you get this book and continue reading it over and over again.

I wasn't ready

This book is soooo good. I was so excited to start reading it, but then it came to a part where I had to put it down and walk away. I knew something was coming around the corner that I was not ready for, and sure enough, it happened.
Hiroko's death took me by surprise. I could tell something was coming and someone was going to die. I was hoping it wasn't going to be her.
Now I'm on pins and needles thinking about who might die in book 6. My heart can't take this 💔 😫

AMAZING!!

Once again KW has taken us on a whirlwind of emotions. I hated the book to end(for now), but I’m almost terrified to read Book 6. The layers of growth between The Dragon and Tora is such a huge thing to witness. A love so powerful, that even in the midst of grief, pain and fear you still feel their connection. Such an awesome series! All of the supporting characters are endearing as well and I really don’t want to lose any of them(hint, hint Ms KW).

WOW!

The Dragon and Tora are so HOT, literally! This love story is full of kinky sex , violence and food. Love Hiro!!!!! The development of the Claws and Fangs added so much to the story. What's up with Deja and Rin..... Kenya don't kill everybody on 6, please. This story contains information about their culture as well as another story. There is definitely some dark stuff going on in Kenya's mind😉

Forged in fire

This book is so all consuming. It consumed me just like how a fire consumes everything in its path. I love how the characters are evolving and growing. I don't want to reveal too much but I wish for Hiro the kind of love that Kenji has with Nyomi...the kind that Sol has with Korin and Pyrrah.

Me. Kenya Wright, book 5 is definitely now my favorite in this series!!!!! Absolutely addicted to characters and the bonds that were created. The growth of Nyomi and the love that she has brought to the Yakuza's cold hearts. You've raised the temperature and the emotions in this one! Thank you for always giving us these amazing reads.

This is probably my favorite series although I do love all the others. I was hypnotized while reading this book. Hiro is probably my favorite after Kenji and Nyomi. I was thoroughly entertained. Just please don’t kill off Kenji, Nyomi, Hiro or anymore Claws and Fangs. Pretty please. Must read.

Soooo freaking good!!

Kenya Wright is easily my favorite author. Her writing feels so effortless and deeply connected. I feel everything and love it all. I've laughed, cried, and been in awe. I'm always on pins and needles waiting for her next book. This series is my fave. I love Lion and Mouse but Kenji/Tora is winning 😍 My asian-drama heart smiles.

I’m forever ruined! Her stories have me reliving them in my mind daily. To have love and devotion from a man like Kenji would be a dream come true. This was a great book and I’m preparing for book 6, but I don’t want anyone else to die. Huhhh, my heart! Such a great writer!

The same recurring theme as seen in previous installments of this series is noted. There were long unnecessary and drawn out descriptions before a romantic scene. The needless story within a story made an appearance toward the end which coincidentally is when the story started to pick up. I am ready to read about the Fox, Hiro, Zo, and the Claws dinner party and that’s about it.

Spectacular read!

This book keeps you wanting more. I can’t wait to see what happens with Rin and Deja. How Zo will react to the news of his friend’s death. I’m just as excited about the cocktail party and seeing everyone’s reactions. Kenya wright is masterful in her writing. Can’t wait for book 6.

I have really loved this series, but the last few books have been lackluster. It doesn’t read like a mafia story anymore. We got a few chapters of a 38 chapter book of highly trained killers doing everything but killing! I know there is always a side story/stories to be told but when the side story be come the central focus then I quickly lose interest.

Why did someone have to die.

Laughable moments, some areas, like the book with I'm the book, wad a waste of pages that should have been used for arena and Rin and So and Satoshki. I wanted more details into what they were up to when they left the theatre.

Locked in

This series will have you locked in and I mean in so many ways, more than 2 or 3 not 1. The story telling and the graphic descriptions make the words have sounds coming from the page. Book 5 is beyond stellar. Excited for the next books.
