Maggie often discovers some unique in unique places. This time while searching for her cat Snickers, in an upstairs bedroom, she discovers a 1920s style wedding dress in the back of a closet. As she unfolds it she has more questions than answers. One of the questions is why is the veil torn from bottom to top? Maggie hangs the dress in her shop in hopes someone will know something. Soon the dress is stolen. Her attempts to gather information on the flapper style frock brings danger and nerves become frayed.

The 17th book in the series with Maggie, Sedgwick Manor, the Carriage House Antiques shop, and Maggie’s sleuthing involving the most quirky things that come up and around her and antique’s. This time it involves Maggie’s own family and a wedding dress she found among her aunt’s possessions in the attic. But one other person claims it belongs to her family, and two others seem to just want it even though Maggie doesn’t want to sell it. So it gets stolen from the antique’s shop! And there are more surprises to come!

Very interesting story. It certainly kept me turning the pages. Maggie gets involved in mysteries whether she likes it or not.

A found bride dress from the 1920’s with a torn veil and a set of wedding rings was the start. As Maggie and June were trying to figure out the story of the bridal ensemble they decided to hold a contest to see who might recognize it. They displayed it in the window of the antique shop. All done so far until it went missing.

This a part of a series called Antique Shop Mysteries. There are different authors and they don't list in any particular order. This one is about finding a vintage wedding dress and solving the mystery of it. Maggie is the main character and she has a set of friends that are core characters in each of the books.

What are the chances that three newly retired women from three different lives would move to town to retire at the same time. One had a volunteer job at the library and the other two opened new businesses. Maggie finally cleaned out a closet of her Aunt Evelyn’s and found a priceless wedding gown. Who did it belong to?

It’s not a bad book, but it’s not a terribly interesting book either. Best that can be said is that it’s only 200 pages, so not a huge commitment. No murder. Most of the characters are nice people even if they start out nasty. It seems like a “mystery” written for “nice church ladies”.

You know, I really like this series... But... You'd think that after 17 books, Maggie would've gotten some security cameras in and around her house and shop. She really needs to call the police when she discovers a break in. I'll continue to read the series, but I'm hoping that she smartens up..
