Volume 6 covers chapters 30-37 and mainly focuses on the church Yazur, the roadside cult that John and the gang ran into at the end of the last volume. They are a standout shonen villain group with their mysterious religion and charismatic followers and leaders. The main leader in particular is something else and is emerging as an even more imminent threat than Leon to John and company.
I love everything about the church of Yazur and it is truly interesting to see them become more fleshed out and dangerous with each chapter. Alda’s relationship with each member is also intriguing and I’m curious what he will do in the looming conflict between Pano and John versus the Church of Yazur. To that end, it is a very fun conflict to watch unfold. The fights are simply brutal in MAD. Limbs are lost quickly and lives are ended before they can become something more than a side character with a few lines. At first I saw this as a disappointment, but as the series continues it adds to the atmosphere that personal stories end on this forsaken planet. Those who do survive live with the consequences and the death drives them to change which I enjoy. It's been a nice change of pace to see leaders of rival factions actually care about their people to varying degrees.
Enough said, I’ve been rambling for long enough. The Church of Yazur is cool, John is cool, Pano is still amazing but needs to put a shirt on, and the fights and character development is why I and you (probably) read the series. It's agonizing waiting for the new chapters but it is one of my favorite new-gen series in the post JJK world.

the church of yazur and lord yazur himself are wonderful additions to this world. yazur's backstory is heartbreaking and gives you an understanding as to why he is acting the way he is. doesnt make anything he does ok, but gives you more depth. alda is such a complex characters and i can't wait to see where he goes. will he stand by the chruch? join john and co? IDK. BUT PANO. LOVE MY OVERPOWERED QUEEN OMG.
