Soriyah has a problem. Her man doesn't come home on Christmas Eve. Soriyah then puts him out. Unfortunately, rent is due just a week later. Soriyah is currently unemployed with very few options. Meanwhile, the rent man, Kyrie, presents an offer that Soriyah reluctantly can't refuse.
I’m so over Nicole Jackson. It’s the same old storyline, just different character names. Why is it always some low class, trashy female, who can’t find a job to save her life, needs a man to take care of her and has absolutely no respect for her body. I’m over it. She needs to come up with a new storyline, because I’m over reading the same tired one repeatedly. This will be my final Nicole Jackson novel!
I chose to read this book on January 1, 2026. I had the day off and wanted to get in some light reading. This book was everything BUT light. Between Soriyah and Kylie, the back and forth, moving from one spot to another, and bringing in other people when they were clearly not done with each other, I’M TIRED!
Ohhhh baby this was a messyyyyy good time lol. All in all I still feel like i love Kyrie lol but I got my eyes on him lol cause there was a lot of unanswered for things he knew lol. He was just as crazy as all her ex’s lol
This was dogoneee messsssy and I lived for it 🤣. Man the way all this drama unfolded had me sayinggg lord and shaking my head left to right. This book had me cackling from the audacity from some of these people. Kyrie and Soriyah were two peas in a pod obsessed more kyrie than ever and loved that for them. If they had just stop jumping off emotions and talked it out we wouldn’t be here lol so imma shut up about the journey cause I enjoyed it. Yall read and have a ball in this story like I did now for a reread 😭.
Laaawwwddd.. this was a messy good time.. Soriyah had been with Bubba for 5yrs and they were engaged.. he had convinced her to quit her job and he was taking care of her solely.. until he started staying out late and then didn’t come home until the morning.. she put him out after learning he had been cheating.. and once he left she no longer had a way/access to pay bills.. after being late on her rent, the “rent man” aka Kyrie offered her a “proposition” to clear her late balance.. what started off as a means to an end on Soriyah’s behalf ended up changing after her feelings got involved and pregnancy.. after a few misunderstandings she cut him off and went thru pregnancy leaning on another man Tune.. she basically plain his face and wasn’t into him like that, but tolerated the help during loneliness.. after Kyrie got into a bad car accident he was injured and needed help.. he bonded with his provider and her daughter.. however things went left when they all come over for the holiday and Kyrie was dating Karie, Soriyah’s auntie.. when I say messy, it’s super messy and intriguing all at once.. Kyrie loved him some Soriyah, but the lack of communication on both parties is why they were in the mess they were in.. but Kyrie finally was able to blend his girls with Soriyah and KJ.. I enjoyed
Chile, that was a lot! I lived this story so, so , so much. Ot was hella entertaining, funny, crazy, and very realistic. Soyriah (probably spelled that real wrong) played way too many games, which eventually caught up with her in the end. Kyrie should have been up front from the beginning. If they would have done a better job of communicating with each other instead of just f’ing, a lot of heartache could have been avoided.
What else… Bubba was trash. Tune was beyond trash. And Kari was on one for real!
In terms of 🥵, this book had 🔥 and then some! I was like, ok Kyrie!!!
Babyyyyyyyyyyyy this was one drama filled read but I loved every minute of it. That darn Kari was delusional at the end and it was sad how she really stopped talking to her niece because she really thought she had a chance with Kyrie. Bubba was so wrong for how he did Soriyah but it was a blessing in disguise because she met and fell for Kyrie. That Tune was a real character but Kyrie showed him not to mess with what's his. I loved all the drama in this read it had me tuned in from the beginning.
Soriyah got me tight!!! Cause how!? Why!? Every time she made a decision I was looking for the other shoe to drop. Kyrie could have done a better job with his communication and the fact that he was moving weird sent me many a time. All them other characters were just that. Makes you wonder if Kari knew that Kyrie was Soriyah man all along. Weirdos. The story was wild at times cause that city was toooooo small!
You can never go wrong with a Nicole Jackson book. However, I wanted a little more on Kyrie and what he was into exactly.. I need to know when and why he pulled up on Bubba, also need to know how he knew Bubba’s side piece.. and what happened to Tune… maybe a part two of this story bc I’m sure Kari isn’t done being a psycho
This is my second read by Nicole Jackson so I’m not sure what to expect just yet! I will say I read this book in one sitting, and this is my type of carrying on! Something about Kyrie got my left eye twitching! There’s more to his story that wasn’t told or hasn’t been told yet….I ‘m not one that believes in coincidences and it was too many for me I mean we know he was obsessed with Soriyah but it’s deeper than that! This was overall a good read tho!
I don’t think there needs to be a part two to this. I see a lot of reviews saying they’re waiting for part two. This could’ve easily been completed in a part one. I really hope he hasn’t been messed around with Kari, but it ended somewhat OK a little open in it but a good story nonetheless.
The story was decent. The plot twist was a bit much. I also want more details about certain parts the story. The spicy scene were definitely good. The ending was too abrupt and makes me wonder if I should be expecting a part two. If there is a part two it isn’t needed honestly.
If sexy and crazy were a person it would both soriya & Kyrie
Entertaining and illogical but a fun ride. Dysfunctional af and that’s just how NJ loves to write her characters. I enjoyed every word and each page. Soriya and Kyrie were a match made in hell, lol!
She knows she can write the hell out of a book! I loved how this was like a don’t judge a book by its cover type of character. He was most definitely toxic but I wouldn’t have came off him either!
Really good read. Definitely waiting on number 2. The damn kyrie had me a lil scared how much he watched soriya even when they wasn’t together. And I’m curious to know what bubba was talking about at the end of the story.
This is the first time reading this author book, and loved it. The characters were well written and the MMC and FMC I truly fell in love with their story. A awesome read all in all.
you can’t tell me Kyrie ain’t pull a master game and i ain’t mad at it one bit!! lmao i was entertained the whole way through, but i haven’t read a Nicole Jackson book i don’t like yet, so that’s nothing new!
I was mad as a MF for real. I was going to jump in the book and knock some sense into somebody. Its a good read, Less than 200 pages of goodness Tap in and get to it
This book was incredible — Nicole Jackson has done it again. I loved how Soriyah had Kylie, Bubba, and Tune all going wild over her. Despite all the twists and surprises, I’m glad she’s with Kyrie. I’m already looking forward to the next part of the story. I finished this book in just one day. Let’s go!
