This is a well written book that explores complex concepts in a very relatable way. It allowed me to put a name to what I had seen in my previous leadership position in the healthcare industry. I didn't know it at the time, but we had unnamed friction in our systems. This is an excellent resource for leaders in any industry. Nathan does a great job of explaining the "why" behind failed initiatives and what seems to be culture issues. For so many years, leaders have been told that organizational culture needs to change. Nathan points out that what seems like a people problem could actually be a system design problem causing leaders and employees to react to that system in a predictable way that hinders progress. Anyone in a leadership or decision making position would benefit greatly from the information shared in this book!
